I also have a question maybe somebody can help me repair wallet or atleast explain this puzzle to me. The situation is the following: previous versions of wallets crashed very often and the only way to make it work was resync. Yesterday it happened again and I also had to reinstall windows 7 64 cause some other reasons, being in a hurry I forgot to make a fresh copy of subdirectory Coinshield from roaming directory (I always copy the whole file not only wallet.dat) but I had one dated November 29. After reinstalling windows and resyncing wallet I found out that half of the coins are absent and there are only 900+ transactions instead of 1500+. The transactions from AMD GPU solomining stopped on December 15, but I was mining all the way till yesterday and found more than 600+ blocks and the coins were in my wallet and I was not hacked or something of the kind. I always checked the number of blocks on both machines so I dont think I was on the wrong chain or fork or what not. So almost a month I was mining to nowhere. Thanks in advance Huh

As Viz said, unfortunately you would have lost your coins.  By default 100 addresses are generated into the keypool when the wallet is first created and each mined block uses one of these addresses.  Over time the addresses in the keypool are used up and eventually it gets below a threshold and is restocked with new addresses.  Your backup would have contained whatever addresses were available in the keypool at that point, but if you mined more than 100 blocks then anything beyond what was in the pool at the point of the backup will no longer be in the backed up wallet.  That's why you can see some transactions after the backup date (those that used addresses already in the keypool), but nothing beyond the point that it ran out.  This highlights the importance of regular backups when mining, or forcing your keypool to be much larger (particularly if mining lots of blocks).  The latter approach can be done by launching the QT with -keypool=XXXX I believe.  Sorry buddy, that sucks balls.

Unfortunately those coins are lost - your wallet.dat file contains the private keys that were stored into your keypool once you are credited for the block. Since you say the file is dated to November - odds are your backup file doesn't have those keys stored from your mining past your given dates.

Viz.

This happens because your block got orphaned. It didn't show up in your Qt because the Qt updates mined coins after 1 confirmation which your block never obtained.

Can somebody help me understand what has happened here.  My miner found block 125278 and it was accepted by the network, however this block never made it to my wallet.  The blocks the rig found before and after 125278 have confirmed in my wallet.

I cant seem to work out how to post images here but there is a screenshoot here http://www.pixhost.org/show/2212/24569897_screen3.jpg

I have seen this happen before, it's not the first time, where's ma CSD going?

If you fail...just dont fail again
I love that you figured it out Smiley

Take Care,
Viz.

It still only about covered my own electricity costs (three GTX 780 Ti's are anything but power efficient) - and now that it's no longer on Coin-Swap I have no way to recoup these costs. hmm...

I was happily scooping up all I could around the 500-650 sat range as I noticed the substantial increase in diff - up till early this morning when it disappeared off coin-swap, but a block explorer/more reputable exchange would be ideal I just don't think I'll get it that cheap hehe all good though Smiley

Difficulty on the CPU mining channel has dropped from the > 6.0 range into the 5.5-5.6 range. my hand-crafted GPU prime tuplet miner loves it Wink

I have a lot of updates in store, and plenty of new features that are going to be released through my series of updates. We have core 1.0.2 then I will open the source code on 1.0.3.

Thanks for the Support!

I had just set my buy orders when it was delisted!  I'm looking to buy a reasonable chunk of CSD, somewhere around 200-300k.  Price will be negotiable depending on volume available.  Please PM me if you have a sizable amount and are looking to cash out at a fair price.  I would prefer escrow or you send first (several people in this thread will I'm sure vouch for my authenticity here).

The Coinswap situation is such a shame.  I liked Coinswap, I thought they handled the recent downtime, due to the trade engine upgrade, really well.  It was refreshing to be updated on the progress  with such regular updates.  I just wish GAW had bought another exchange but hay-ho.........now CSD has been delisted I don't need to use coinswap any more and thus am not supporting GAW in anyway.

I look forward to the coming updates to CSD.

As always, thanks to the dev team for all their hard work.

Got my coins back too.

We will have until 1.16.2015 12:00 PM GMT - 6. This is when update 1.0.2 will activate. We are basing our exchange movements around this update and block explorer.

I will release 1.0.2 soon  Smiley

This will not harm the CSD market - we are already in process with a few exchanges. Block explorer is coming out after Core Update 1.0.2.
It is more important to take our stance in distancing from GAW - and be true to the Coinshield Vision then to maintain a market on Coin-Swap.

We stand for something here at Coinshield: a sustainable future. This isn't the easiest way - but the right thing never is

So much for "Community"
Hey great, the only exchange option you have at this point and you want to get delisted.

Maybe focus on a working block explorer, then get listed on another exchange BEFORE requesting delisting on you only option.

If anything this will help build anticipation for a better market. Buyers will have to wait for now  Smiley

In the meantime: Dogecoin is having issues getting de-listed. Why am I not surprised?
