I've been learning solidity and web3 because it's pretty fun Cheesy.

This is good. Can we expect to see Ninja tokens in the near future? Grin

It would be helpful, for example, to be able to select multiple boards or to exclude specific boards from the results. Similarly, let's say we want to search for (or exclude) posts from members of a specific rank. Would it be possible to put anything like that in search params?
I'm actually rewritting the entire website and something like this was already planned, but I'm constantly getting distracted with some other side projects (I've been learning solidity and web3 because it's pretty fun Cheesy).

@TryNinja, post search parameters are great but I wonder if you have any plans to expand the functionality?

You can exclude certain board if you want to search for one of the special board. But you can't exclude user ranks on every board you want to search because the search result will show all the users engaged on the board you are looking for. The solution might be that you have to specifically search for users by username or user id. Meanwhile, the future development of the site is still to be expected and we can exclude the user rank. Maybe @TryNinja will do it in the future if the need arises for its site.

I assume you tried putting the text between quotation marks and it didn't work, right?

How do I search for an asterisk without using it as a wildcard?
I assume you tried putting the text between quotation marks and it didn't work, right? I'll have to take a look at it later.

Definitely one of the most useful tools around BitcoinTalk.org.
Thank you Smiley

Ninjastic Space shows 28 results, but it's a bug that needs reporting.

Is it possible to add another functionality by tracking and archiving the location of each thread and add it to something like the "Post Changes History" section with archived links to each of the boards it has moved so far?
That would require me to track and scrape every single thread every X minutes/hours. It could be done if I had unlimited requests to the forum, but theymos already explicitly said that he doesn't want anyone breaking the 1 request per second rule.

  • From time to time, there are users that keep on moving their threads [more exposure] to boards that have nothing to do with their content...

    - I do know it's not directly against the rules but it's annoying and it does look like a workaround to rule #12.
    - It also saves the time that it takes to manually archive such threads [if I get lucky], each time that's being moved to a new board [it'll come in handy for reporting such users].

Do users have to post to get indexed ? Searched for a user id (he did not have any posts) and it came up empty
Yes, at least one scraped post. Everything shown is derivated from my posts database.

This ^

A new version will be coming out soon with some new options:
- BTC address balance <-> any fiat ticker;
- BTC amount <-> any fiat ticker;

There is also some new things being worked on the Ninjastic.space website, but I'm super busy right now with some other IRL stuff.

I was not able to find the value of 0.01 BTC as you suggested.. I was only able to find the balance of a USD value, not the opposite.

I think it is not possible to get the USD value of a BTC value. Is it TryNinja?

But the second {username} is not parsed.
Can you please check that?
Thanks, just changed that.

Thanks,
you were super fast!
Actually too fast!

This is what I came with in the meanwhile with a little bit text handling trickery. Maybe you want to think it is a useful addition to your output having a template to build links to major popular user databases.
