The truth is that almost every gambler gambles with the expectation of their bets working to their predictions regardless that in the end, it doesn't really meet their expectations. After a gambler have placed a bet, they start having a picture of a possible winning in their head more especially those who gambles on sporting events like football because after they must have literally gone through the statistics of the both teams they want to stake on, and got conviction of what the outcome may likely be then they will have the feelings that it won't be a wasted bet. Everyone literally gambles with full confidence of their bets.

"No bet is a waste" I believe is a statement that is absolutely irrelevant as long as gambling is concerned. I have shared my point of view on this topic several times, and maybe I initially supported this, but my stand have changed after giving this topic a deeper thought.

I can tell you that the majority of us have nothing to learn from our previous bets, it is important we understand that gambling is not the same as trading where mistakes are possible, and traders can learn from the mistakes they made with previous trades.
Gambling is completely different, mistakes are very minimal with bets, almost non-existent, and what this mean is that, when we bet and loose the bet, it is simply what it is, a lost and that's it, it may be a waste of time to start looking for a possible mistake in the bet to correct next time.
When that next time comes, and you decided to bet the other way as a way of correcting what you assumed to be a mistake from the previous lost bet, you still may loose the bet, which means that no mistake was made in the previous bet.

Winning in bets is luck, and this is all I can say.

Among the three, it's 1 that isn't good, but you have to apply wisdom to the rest as well. You who gamble with the hope that you will be lucky one day and you who gamble for fun (perhaps it's what you like (hobby)) must ensure that you use a small amount per wagering not to ruin the party.

Sport bets is not like normal casino games when we can use the same strategy many times before the strategy can become outdated. In sport bets, things are quite different here and I don't waste my time trying to use the same strategy that earned me a lot of profits because the opposite is always the case. It is better to keep trying random strategies to make money especially in sport bets than using one through out. It is not all about the amount of bets we are staking in a day but ability to understand the team we are choosing and the probability of them winning to benefit us.

A sports bet involves betting against a live game so the same strategy may not always work. Because at different times the coaches of different teams train the players in different ways, so it can be seen that many times a team wins the match which is unimaginable. If you are completely right about that and it is very normal to lose because one mistake leads to another and another bigger one until it leaves you without money and probably leads to addiction, and that is very sad, I do not recommend that a person who has control problems go to a casino, because that will be an embezzlement for that person's economy, on the contrary, a person who does not control himself well has to go to other means of fun and entertainment, something where the addiction is not so serious, go to other more common activities where there is no danger of losing money.

Winning or losing has nothing to do with intelligence or an IQ level, but deciding what to do is directly related to that, that is, if you are a person with a high level of intelligence you will make the right decision regarding gambling, so, one should not believe oneself intelligent, unless you manage to determine it, it is like someone who says that gambling is not an addiction problem, get a psychological medical exam, it is the same.

This whole thing about gambling is very funny, because at one point I think every true gambler knows this that the hose always have an edge over you and no matter what you do you can't outwit the house but for some reason their is always hope that you get to win that jackpot that would make you kinda satisfied which is also not possible because even with such luck, it stills takes great discipline not to lose all back to the house.

Well, thanks for explaining what he meant, because I could not figure it out at first and I think it is very true what you say. People allow expectations and the possibilities of money to underestimate de value of the money they already have, in order to pursue risks and craving for more profits, gambling is the ultimate consequence of the craving of people for multiplying their money as fast as possible, but at what cost?

It is easier to see the value of the "birth we got at hand" when we compare our personal situations to those who are less fortunate than us and need to resort to short-selling themselves in order to survive, if we kept that mentality, it would be a little easier for people to practice responsible gambling and not to fall prey of addiction. Just my personal opinion though...

Someone should better explain this important note to this fellow because if you think you can beat any casino or should I say out win the casino then you are probably just joking and believe me by the time you realize this you would be long into debt or even become a serious gambling addict.

I'm not sure he is even a gambler, because a real gambler would know that the house always have advantages over the games. The casino is designed to win a certain amount of games as they literally own them. You can't beat the casino they let you win as you play being fair, when table turn and probably you might have risked too much thinking you got this and understand the theory like @ AGULIS said, you definitely will end up loosing too much to the casino at that point.. the house wins wether we like it or not, we might just be lucky to get some reasonable amount of wims when luck is on our side..

It doesn't matter, he might be gambling once in a while but still does not know the rudiment of the game. He is certainly wrong to have thought that a certain means exists that gives the customer an advantage. If that is possible though, it should be termed a "due advantage" judging by how the house has been dominating. But I'm afraid, there is no such thing, the house always wins. The tiny exception is in sports betting where the two parties have an equal advantage, the house can't tweak anything against you, but they are only on the advantage because most gamblers bet wrongly.
