I agree that no bet is a waste. My reason behind is that every bet we have the chance to win. Just like betting in lottery, our ticket has a chance to win the jackpot price no matter how small it is. Thinking that a $0.5 bet can win more than $20k is a good reason enough to gamble such amount. And I think it is worth to try than letting the chance or opportunity to hit a jackpot since $0.5 can't make us any poorer but hitting $20k+ is a life changer especially to a gambler from a developing country.

The annoying thing about gambling is that many people get caught up in cases like you bet and you don't really expect, but then you get a win and you think you can bet again to win another match, so you lose and lose the money you have won before, and after that most people think that before I won once and succeeded maybe I will try again for the third time by re-depositing again, but in the end lose and afterwards do not accept the loss.
Maybe if thinking in a scenario of betting and then not expecting to keep losing, one would be able to ignore the loss, but not those who have a different scenario.
