It's all cool. You guys are doing wonderful work, constant innovation 24/7.

The problem is that people don't know about NXT, most of them don't even know that it exists. It's like playing Mozart masterpiece in a cave.

We have to let people know about NXT, which my campaign is meant to do:
https://nxtforum.org/nxt-promotion/nxt-revitalization-plan

However you guys should promote it too, I may achieve success in promotion, but we need to promote it from all angles.

We have to get like 250-500 new members /day, so make sure others promote it too. Non-stop social media promotion is also needed guys Smiley

Shuffling Sunday !
Come and test out the 1.7.2e CoinShuffle feature this Sunday, 13-12-2015

Ladies and gentlemen: the core devs have asked me to organise some serious testing (on TestNet) for the CoinShuffle feature in NRS 1.7.2e.
The target is to get as many participants into shuffles as possible, and to generally stress test and bug hunt in 1.7.2e.
What else do you have to do on a Sunday, eh ?  Shocked

What you will need to do:

Set up a TestNet node using NRS 1.7.2e

Set up a TestNet account, and get some TestNXT on the account.

Start your TestNet node up early on Sunday, and at 16.00 UTC, log in to your accounts and get shuffling.

Leave your nodes running for as long as possible, preferably 24 hours at least.

Report your experiences with the shuffle system.

What you will get :

The devs will give you some love, CoinShuffle will get some serious testing that we can document and use for PR. We may even find some problems and get them fixed before CoinShuffle goes live.....and the NXT Foundation/TNSSE will provide a very slightly generous bounty pot to be divided among the CoinShuffle testers.

Shuffling Sunday NxtForum Thread

Looks cool, it would be nice if it would be implemented in Supernet.

I really want to see a lot more new features upcoming and included there. Smiley

Good to see that there is a new start of the wiki.

Sad that translation service is not rewarded anymore or at least for some time. Will help to translate parts when rewards are getting paid again.

Hi all - posting finally some news!

I migrated the Wiki server last month, but we were waiting to place a redirect in the old wiki.nxtcrypto.org subdomain. Since the holder of nxtcrypto.org hasn't reached back to us, and we cannot wait any longer, you'll see a manual redirect in the old wiki.nxtcrypto.org site index, leading to

http://nxtwiki.org

which is the new URL for the Nxt Wiki in the new server managed by the Nxt Foundation. Please update your links!

There is a LOT of updates work to do, so...
  • We're looking for serious contributors with good knowledge of the latest NRS and proficient written english. Knowledge of Wiki markup syntax is a bonus, but not required, since it is quite easy to learn.
  • We have received the funds still available for Wiki bounties, so update jobs will be paid.
  • Since the Nxt Wiki needs some thorough updates, rather than a lot of random small patches, we prefer to have few committed people who can address one or several Wiki pages exhaustively (the FAQ being arguably the biggest undertaking). If you are interested, send me a PM.
  • We also need new Wiki Administrators.
  • At the moment, content updates are a top priority and only specific bounties will be offered. Translation work is welcome, but the base by-contribution-point bounties are suspended for the time being, at least until the Wiki is in good shape.Translations require revisions as well, so it makes sense to translate from a proper source. Another reason is that the automatic rewards by number of contribution points can be abused.
  • All pending base bounties for the last months will be sent in the next days, following the last applied 10 NXT/point rate.
  • I'll post shortly a list with the priorities to review in the current Wiki, with bounties included. Those will be in principle assigned in a first-come-first-serve basis, but we reserve the right to reassign a job to another user than the first requester - for reasons of page quality and delivery times solely.

Of course, if anyone wants to already suggest pages that need a clear revamp, please post away Smiley

I'll post more details later on during Friday,  including technical info for those who have never used TestNet before, how to use CoinShuffle, and the exact size of the bounty pot. In the meantime, spread the word......

A brilliant idea has came to my mind while I was cooking this afternoon.

We should have an NXT sub-reddit Smiley

Now, somebody please go and create it.

Like https://www.reddit.com/r/NXT/?

It is not very popular. And it's not visible on the Cryptocurrency portal @ the Non-Bitcoin cryptocurrencies section:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/wiki/communities

(Ltc,namecoin and monero is listed there. NXT is not)

So if you would have not posted that link i would not even know that there is a NXT reddit. So maybe it should be listed there.

More marketing won't speed the implementation of NxtAT, it is perceived safety of it that is the issue.

I dont know  about that, but NXT in general could use a few advertising rounds.

I know a few sites where you can buy cheap and effective ads and get 100-200 new members for relatively cheap cost.

I still think NXT needs more marketing

There is nothing stopping the completed, open source NxtAT project being implemented in Nxt in the future once the turing complete concept has been proven safe in the wild.

Marketing ......etc

You know I tried NXT for one of our colored coins and it was a little confusing.  Plus the number of confirmations that it wants can take a long time on a network with that few nodes.  I appreciate the effort but will wait a bit for it to get a little higher popularity.

Ok, there are  alot of people how can clear up any confusion. Were you trying to use the asset exchange or monetary system for your coloured coins?

I don't follow the bit about number of confirmations. What were you trying to do? You only have to wait 1440 blocks if you want to forge. You can spend/move your tokens after 1 block and these come around every ~80secs on average (in NRS 1.7 this will be 60 sec). I don't see how the number of nodes effects this.

A little more detail on your post would help.

So you think NXT evangelists should troll the BTC and Altcoin threads with FUD? It's because people will ignore the NXT trolls in the ETH threads just like the ETH/Monero trolls are ignored in the NXT thread.

No, that was not the point.

My point was that the ETH and Monero shills have an attitude atleast to promote their agenda.

Yes their tools are: trolling, shilling and FUD-ing, so they are wrong.

But nontheless they have a goal. NXT seems like a bunch of devs creating things, that nobody knows about, because there is nobody promoting it.

NXT needs an organized advertisement campaign fast.

This is the whole point of the Tennessee project. (or a good part of the point)
