always a drop before a release, but usually it doesn't go below 4200

Dollar amount has been stable for the last 90 days. Before that would have to take into the precipitous drop of BTC to its current levels.

I wouldn't be surprised people are still pricing crypto in dollars, it still has a few years before a mainstream breakthrough. In the meantime, Nxt picks up core devs and third party devs still keep building (Jones' wallet aimed a noobies, Slothbags decentralised app store and DNS system (decentralised internet), JL777 Supernet projects, multiple new wallets...) and NRS 1.5 being tested.

[speculation] It will be quiet for a few more months yet. A big BTC washout of capitulation will happen before new money flows into crypto. [/speculation]

Yeah, it is kind of annoying.
Stupid price.......grumble, grumble.

Still, NXT has all of the tech up and running to allow people to do pretty much anything they can imagine with crypto, the community is as amazing as ever, and we have a lot of very interesting stuff coming up. Even a small PR campaign is in the pipeline........ Grin

Building something real is always going to be a long game, and NXT has only been up and running for just over a year now. We're in a good place, so any further price drop is just an opportunity to buy more NXT in.

Not ded, but certainly depressed, and certainly depressing to watch. Only a matter of time before it gets some love, but for now, more down.  Sad

Does anyone have any idea why my transaction with 469 confirmations http://www.mynxt.info/transaction/6572373837824290066 is showing up as an unconfirmed balance in the destination address here http://www.mynxt.info/account/1571292249217699638?

It's the name of an internal variable - "Unconfirmed Balance". Just programming stuff.

@TheCoinWizard

Just checked with the admins.....the SSL certificate for NxtForum expired this morning.
Problem should be solved pretty quickly, and shouldn't present a security risk, so you can just allow/force your browser to connect without too much risk.

While I'm here, heres a list of weak passwords used to create NXT accounts:
http://pastebin.com/5LNjyrUa

All of that list have been cracked, so do not use anything on this list as a passphrase for anything. Ever.

Indeed, the people who are in charge of the SSL certificate have been notified and are working on it.

As of today, I am getting this message trying to go on the nxt forum...
Am I the only one getting that?

Moving away from maritime disaster, heres a little toy I just recieved from the lads at Coingecko:

Yep, it's a very cool NXT price ticker......you can embed it pretty much anywhere using the following code:

Code:

Titanic was firing off signal rockets for the first hours of the sinking, but they were either white or red.

The green light is most likely to be the starboard navigation light of one of the 2 ships closest to Titanic: probably the SS Californian, which had stopped for the night, less than 20kms away, after warning Titanic of ice ahead (no radar back then, so rolling at full speed at night into a known ice pack would not be a great idea.).

Could also be the Carpathia, which (unlike Californian) did roll at full power to assist Titanic, but as they were 100kms away didn't arrive until 2 hours after Titanic sank.

What is that green flash near the left bound?

My guess is the rescue flare (if they were available at that time).   Second guess is a buoy signalling a danger ahead (eg: the iceberg that was hit).
