Just published post-implementation 2-phased transactions specification: https://nxtforum.org/general/2-phased-transactions-post-implementation-specification/ . I don't know whether it will be in 1.4 or a later release as 1.4. has too many implemented features to be included probably: Monetary System, Coin Shuffling, dividends, alias deletion, Voting System, 2-phased transactions. But I would be happy see businesses around Nxt starting to think about using 2-phased transactions. For example, with Bitcoin's multisig and 2-phased transactions it's possible to provide signature escrow service without money holding on escrow's side.

A world of Nxt-based businesses could be changed a lot with Voting System(https://nxtforum.org/voting-system/voting-system-got-massive-updates/, https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/getting-voting-system-out-the-door/) & 2-phased transactions. Distributed shareholders voting, money spendings controlled by shareholders etc

good news kusthi, thx!

2-phased tx in 1.4 would be great. Nxt multi-sig is an important feature IMHO, so the sooner the better!

Topic: Buy and Sell Bitcoins for Cash Deposit Into Bank Account

I'm considering dabbling in buying and selling bitcoins for bank cash deposit if anyone is interested. Lets start out at say 5% over spot for purchases and 5% under spot for sales and see how it goes.

It's a little bit more than coinbase charges but you won't even have to have a bank account for purchases and you wont need to do any of that onerous registration and compliance stuff for sales. I'm basically going to treat it like I'm a localbitcoins vendor. This service will be for friends not the whole world. The moment it gets big enough that I start getting worried about drawing the attention of the jackboots I'll just raise my prices until the volume comes back down low enough for me to feel like I'm safely flying under the radar again.

I bank at wells fargo. If sufficient interest is shown than ill expand out and open accounts in other popular national chains.

Anyway do leave me any feedback you deem valuable. Thanks!

Where did you find the info, that 1.3.2 would include the marketplace update? I always thought that 1.4.0 will bring it.

apologies - i was simply relying on the info here https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Digital_Goods_Store which gave the impression that the 'marketplace update' was already included

Recap:

Asset ID:10294386916428132892

The USDbitfnx asset ran successfully for over 100 days and has achieved a compounded 9.15% interest in those 107 days and 833$ paid out and 52$ pending dividend.

Now we can calculate the average yearly return, that we can expect with this asset:   1.0915^(365/107) = 1.348 = 34,8% yearly interest!

Reminder: USDbitfnx is a USD backed asset, that has deposits on Bitfinex and uses that USD to participate in the swap market on that site. This currently yields 34.8% yearly with USDbitfnx's swapping strategy. The balance is always 100% and this was/is audited by Damelon.

There are two ways to get USDbitfnx:

- Send NXT or BTC to me, those will be sent to Bitfinex and exchanged for USD, you will get USDbitfnx tokens into your account.
- Buy them on the exchange.

(Both ways are also open for selling/redeeming the asset)

Why would you buy USDbitfnx?

- With USDbitfnx, you can speculate on falling BTC and NXT prices
- Gain more interest than on a bank account via dividends
- Trading gains (this asset was once sold for 17 NXT, now it is worth over 50 NXT, so much volatility)

Update: I have placed a sell order with the issuer account. Once someone buys USDbitfnx from that offer, the NXT will be immediately sold and transferred to Bitfinex.

I've installed NRS v.1.3.2 and all ok, except that the latest version of the Marketplace isn't being displayed:

https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Digital_Goods_Store

Instead I get this:

And this:

I assume that's because the 'NXT wallet' (i.e. the windows interface to the actual NRS core) I'm running is out of date.

How do I update it?

Thanks  Smiley

Buying Qora for 12 satoshi each / Selling Nxt for 6600 satoshi each / Exchanging my nxt with your qora at a ratio of 1 nxt = 550 qora / Send me a private message if you're interested in any of these deals

Alert

Don't trade with renat0. He's a scammer. He approached me with an offer of buying 100M Qora for 13 BTC. I sent first and he disappeared for 3 days. The last PM I got from him is: "Sorry for what I've done to you. I'll pay you, just don't know if in 1 week or 1 year.". It shows that nothing unexpected happened. He intended to scam me right from the start.

If anyone has any info about his real life name/address, please PM me. Few months ago he told me that he's 24 years old from Brazil. That's the only info I've got at the moment.

Why wouldn't you use Escrow?

Oh my, i was thinking of buying some Qora with his offer which was good. But then i could not download the Qora wallet, so i did not proceed. Thank goodness me!

you are probably lucky that the QORA wallet didn't work for you. I strongly suggest reading up a bit on the main QORA thread and considering if the kind of people there can reasonably foster a successful coin. Look at a few of Renat0's posts, and the other main characters there.
OMG, fking the RENAT0 , I thought he is trustful ,now out.
