As wesley pointed out counterparty, mastercoin and ripple do not list the asset.

Yeah, and no one uses those exchanges. We NEED to bring back the list of Assets, right now the AE is completely useless to a new user.  I can't even find a list of account ID's for the assets.  It's useful to be able to search listed Assets.  Here is a mockup by farl4bit that I think is a great way to organize:

I like the idea of alphabetical order, since there will be a lot of assets.

I like a different one (sorting by last trade).

So, we should have a way to sort by whatever people want.

first 2 bars ready to ship to the first person who can acquire 10 tokens Grin

pictures will be posted shortly

I'm curious. The .1 you sent me, what does that equate to. .1 oz?

it sure does.

so how many do I need to get a bar?

-bm

10 troy ounces is the minimum order. i set it like that because i wanted to make it so simple that customers could just buy the tokens, send them to me along with their postal address and get silver. that means shipping has to be built in. which means there is a built in transfer of value from people who make smaller orders to people who make larger orders. i cant do away with that entirely without actually charging for shipping, but by setting the minimum order to 10 I mitigate it substantially. That way i can keep things super simple and my customers never even have to think about shipping.

ya that's one way to do it, probably better way is to just charge a fee if you want to cash out.

currently, your OZ is trading at 22.849 usd, which is well above spot price 19.42 usd (atow).  It's going to be hard to market that.

-bm

charge a fee in what? tell them that they have to understand some arcane fee structure in order to acquire silver? tell them that they have to send me 11 ounces of silver tokens inorder to aquire 10 ounces of silver? or that they have to send nxt also? im trying to make this simpler and more user friendly than any service that has ever come before it.

yes the price is high because right now there is only one seller. monopolies tend to yield high prices. more sellers will be coming online shortly. there are packages in transit that just haven't arrived yet.

Anon, could you include a link in the Asset description with a realtime NXT price for 1 oz silver? E.g. get a current price, divide by bitcoin-price, divide by nxt-price. Then display that. That would be great...

I don't know how to do that but ill give 1000 nxt to the first person who can give me a little piece of code that I can insert into my web page that would maintain a constant, real time, updated price of silver in nxt. if someone wants to take this on, please use bitstamp for the price of bitcoin and bter for the price of nxt.

What's up with BTER. The top NXT Bid = Ask (7800). Shouldn't that auto fill?

The client doesn't list them for free, people paid 1000nxt for that.
I'm pretty sure almost nobody would create assets without visible list.  "AAAshare", "Apple", "badPonzi", "Dragonball", ...

In this dictatorship-like decision, developers effectively expropriated many asset issuers.

As wesley pointed out counterparty, mastercoin and ripple do not list the asset. No one does.  1000nxt is not enough. That's less money to advertise spam (links in description) for ever as assets to all future client users than spending it on google addwords.

Plus it's not scalable. This list will grow indefinitely for ever very fast if spammers find it profitable.

On the other hand side, there are many other shops out there. And people buy/sell what they want. They do not need Eadeqa to tell them what to do. They are mature enough.

I am not telling anyone what to buy and what to sell.  People are free to issue 100s of scam assets and others are free to buy them.

Why should the client list them for free? They issue the asset they get to advertise it. The client doesn't have to list anything by default.

If I want to send money to someone, I do not find their address in the client. I find it by other means (email, ask them, search for them). Same should apply to assets

I as a buyer/seller what to see that damn list of all assets available at some place. I do not care where but I want to see them especially because I already found interesting things.

It should not be up front but it should be there.

Which shops? Online shops like amazon or physical shops in a mall? If online shops, they are not selling virtual "assets" issued by anyone anonymous. They can also ban accounts and do chargebacks.

Banning accounts... so what. This is one thing.

Hmm? What do you think shops are selling?

Plus assets are not removed. They are not just displayed in the client. Asset issuer is the one who needs to advertise and tell his buyer about it

every main street shop have advertisment baners for every passer by to see it in case he come in and buy something, even if he didnt intended.Just seems like nxt dont want that money

Assets are not products in shop. They can be issued by anyone and all of them could be fake/scam/or spam

Even names can be duplicated 100 times by 100 people.

All the assets, sorted by trades for instance...

Funny though, its shows that NXTdrop has 10 million shares - it has 100 000, with potential of being divisible for 2 decimals.. If it goes to moon Smiley

Exactly. People should decide what they buy.
