Will this board ever get any BIOS updates?  Other bug fixes?  Where would we even go to download BIOS updates?
If the are faults octominer should be able to be able to address with a firmware update probably just download it and chuck on a USB

Thanks, can you confirm the case will come with rails (for rack mount) and a cover?

I'm certainly interested (and sick of low quality risers), but it all is about the 4U case for me.

Once I get picture of the case and how the 2200 watt PSU fits, I will probably place an order today.

Thanks!

Great. We will have the pictures up soon!

I missed that. Thanks!

Also, I have an APW3++ PSU. Can you put the PSU inside the box or nah?

Gonna use this rig with 8 Zotac 1070TI. Hopefully they'll fit.

APW3 Dimensions: 220mm*108mm*62mm
Octominer SERVER PSU: SIZE: 150*270*90mm

I think it should fit - We are all still waiting on more details/pics from Octominer regarding the chassis - I think its the same one in their youtube video

I'm interested in buying the board + 8GB ram + the case/rack/chassis.
I already know they're Delta fans. But can you please tell me what kind of fans the actual chasiss will have? Maybe fan model?

Also, if you don't mind can you download a dBm meter app on your phone and tell me how loud this will be? And if you feel generous, maybe check the power consumption with a Kill A Watt or something and post it here?

Thanks!

At the moment we are considering NMB MAT 4710KL-04W-B56 or Delta AFB1212VH fans for the quieter version of the Octominer rig. I will get testing samples in a few days and post results here.
Currently I am running 0.45A  Ong Hua HA1225M12S-Z fans that are around 35dB in the test rig 4U case with 8X GTX 1060, mining Zcash with an overclock and undervolt, ambient temperature is 27 C and the GPU temperatures range from 58 to 63 C and it's pretty quiet. Previously I had Delta AFB1212SHE fans, they provided great airflow but were really loud, around 60dB, temps with the Deltas were in the 50-56C range.

If anybody has any other fan recommendations then I am listening  Smiley

We will have the 4U rack mount chassis in the shop soon. It will come with 7X high power delta fans, the fans are loud but have really high airflow and are very efficient at cooling. For testing purposes I switched them out for more quiet ones on the 8X 1060 GTX test rig, temps were around 55-63 before. Now with the quieter fans the temps are 65-72C.

If I buy one with Pentium CPU at tomorrow when you will ship to me ? Is your first batch out of stock already or some of them still available ? I will try to build cheap ultra quite shitcoin miner with 8x 1050 2gb at home use. Also do you have dimension drawings of your mainboard. For bolting holes locations and backplate location ?

What is the maximum length GPU card that will fit? Is this suitable to 1080ti?

Yes, 1080 and 1080 TI can fit. The more important thing is the thickness, the GPU has to be less than 4.5CM and we recommend less than 4CM for optimal airflow. Length wise all 1080 and 1080 TI fit.

octominer are you able to add the option to purchase the case without the fans or with the quieter fans?

I want to order but not keen on the loud Delta fans

OK, got it. I will get back to you on this question on Monday. We plan to add the silent fan and no fan option for the case, but right now we are not sure we can get enough of the cases in February. I will confirm with the production department and get back to you soon.

Almost at the end of the month so any update on when they will start shipping?

Shipping for the next batch will happen between Feb 5th and 8th.
Only around 150 boards left right now for that batch, almost all sold out.

Octominer, are there any photos of the chassis? How many power supplies does it support? Is it rack mountable? (Includes rails?)
Thanks!

We will upload the chassis photos tomorrow. It can support up to 2 PSU , depending on the PSU size. Currently it does not have rails but we plan to add that feature in the future.

Octominer,

On your website I see you sell mSATA drives.  Is there an mSATA slot on the board somewhere that I'm not seeing?

-TBT

Yes, it does have an mSATA slot, it is between the second and third PCIe slot.
