India are a very stable team and their bowling lineup is just awesome. It is very difficult to win by chasing a high run target against a good bowling lineup. And the biggest thing is that after losing badly in two series, the England players are now mentally upset. They need to be stronger mentally if they are to win against India now.

Their morale seems to be down. The way they lost the first match is the perfect testimony to this. The current England side doesn't have the ability to perform under pressure. If things go against them, they quickly lose motivation and end up losing the match. And this is happening regularly despite the presence of experienced players such as Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes in the team.
England's approach was right, it's just they need to assess the situation at certain stages. India continues dominate but England keeps losing their control over the game. The circumstance as of now I have doubt if Morgan don't play England hardly will get any win in remaining of ODI series.
Still, two games remaining, probably they now understand about the pitch and also weather conditions so it would help them for the better approach. I won't say that there is a lack of good players in ENG team but don't forget not every time a team can win a match series and this is happening in India so obviously, they are having a better advantage than ENG.
The England team has been in India for about 50 days and has played 10 matches. Haven't they able to adapted to the weather yet? Didn't they understand the condition of the pitch yet? You have to admit, the England team is really failing to perform well. They are playing badly, and the players are not in form. The Indian team is doing great on their own ground.

I thought it would be a tough job for indian bowlers but I was wrong. As usual shardul thakur was good, he took 3 wickets. Krishna proved he can do the damage. As usual kumar showed he is still in the game. All of a sudden I think the Indian team is playing exceptionally well. I thought England would easily reach tha target as they are capable of but I might have under estimatedthe Indian bowlers.
India is exposing the batting order of England when they are under pressure, they lost the last two T20 matches chasing high scores and India was able to pick wickets at regular intervals to put pressure back to the players and the same happened in the first ODI. England needs to find a balance in the position and role of the players to win against a tough India.

The England opening strategy worked and so is the reason they were able to put a partnership of 135 runs and then loose the next 10 wickets for 116 runs was not the best situation they wanted, the run rate was par with the target but England started loosing wickets at regular interval and India once again pulled off a victory which i thought was impossible when the England openers were dominating every bowler.

If Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow had remained for another 5 overs, then England could have won the match with relative ease. England made so many mistakes in this match. Even during India's innings, England was firmly in control until the 40th over. India was struggling at 205/4 at the end of the 40th over and 5th wicket also fell soon when Hardik Pandya got out. But then there was a shocking display of wayward bowling from the England bowlers, which allowed India to score 111 runs from 9 overs. And it proved costly for them when they came out to bat.

There is nothing wrong with the England strategy of going all guns blazing in the initial overs. The Indian bowlers were hit left right and the center and made in to pulp. Both the pacers and spinners looked demoralized at that point. But then none of the middle order or lower order batsmen could continue the good work which was done by Roy and Bairstow. They started defending and the Indian bowlers made a grand comeback.

@Vishnu.Reang this match proves the proverb right i.e. slow and steady wins the race, here team India posted only 65 runs in 15 overs but made sure they understood the pitch well before accelerating their innings, however England decided to fire right from the start and then started to play in overconfidence. Furthermore do you’ll believe that dew is no longer a factor, because even with India bowling second they managed to pick 10 wickets for the victory?.

It is surprising to see the England bowlers failing continuously against the Indian lower order batsmen. During the test series they struggled against Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin. And this time they are having issues against Krunal Pandya. Sam Curran in particular looked clueless out there. He bowled well during the first 8 overs, but then conceded too many runs in the last two.
Powerplay -only 4 fielder outside the circle helped the Indian cause- mixed this with couple of bad delivery every now and then and we have a recipe for disaster. Its batting wicket so England going to get some runs also.

In the last 3 months debutants performing quite well for India. Gill, Nattu, Sundar, Ishan, Surya, Axar, Krunal.
315 is not a big target for England and also because the track is good for batting. I think Indian bowlers have to try very hard to defend the target. Still it is very early now let see how the match turns out, pretty excit as I believe this should be a close match.

I thought England will run away with the match because they got a really good start and i even placed a small bet for England to win after seeing that start and their star studded batting lineup.

Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are back in form after a string of failed innings and Krunal Pandya batted well and picked up a wicket on his debut and Bhuvneshwar Kumar is always the miser with his accurate line and length and Shardul Thakur is a master against left hand batsman with his slower balls and variations.

India have won matches from a losing position several times during this series, while England have lost despite good starts. At one point, England were cruising at 135/0 after just 14 overs. At that point, the required run rate was under 5.50 per over and they had 10 wickets in hand. And from that position, they somehow managed to lose that match. The England team management need to introspect about the strategy.

Taking the match as deep as possible is important in every format of the game because couple of overs can change the total course of the match so yeah ENG need to think about their strategy of approaching towards such kind of game because 300+ is not really a huge total which need 10 runs an over for the first 15 overs but their openers did it well while all the remaining others failed to hold the wickets.

Bairstow is in beast mode and bullying every one, its also shows that how beautifully English bowlers bowled in the 1st powerplay against the Indian openers.
You think hey we got the breakthrough but then Stokes comes in, then he goes. You think again wow!! Only to realize that next 2 batsmen are Eoin Morgan and Jos buttler  Grin Grin.
India need to keep thing tight in the middle order..

LORD THAKUR !!!! haha
Not 1, Not 2 it's actually three wickets for the Lord Takur and it seems he wanted to seal a permanent spot in all the formats of Indian team because he is becoming the wicket-taking bowler for team India in recent weeks.

Eng already lost 5 wickets, at some time they are in dominating wickets but they kept losing wickets back to back in the quick overs made them into be trouble. Can they still have any chances after such furious start?

Bangladesh has given a target of 272 runs to New Zealand. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl. They may have thought that Bangladesh would have a batting disaster like in the first math. But that did not happen. Bangladesh has played well enough. If Bangladesh bowlers are able to perform their duties properly, maybe Bangladesh will be able to win the match.
A smart target but poor display of fielding lead them today's game. Their bowling and fielding departments didn't perform well that's why they lost this match otherwise they would have won the match. I watched 1st innings, it was satisfying to watch Bangladesh batting that helps post a great total on the board. Overall Improved performance but have to be more clinical in fielding.
Bangladesh batted very well compared to the first match. But their bowling was very weak. They did a lot of fielding misses in the match. I could not find a skilled and experienced bowler in the Bangladesh team. The whole team is in a state of turmoil now.

India will most probably win this one unless their bowlers mess up big-time. Bhuvi will probably be the X-factor.

Also, Dhawan - 98(Sad) and Rahul - 62. This is why I called them great assets currently and Kohli along with the team management made the right choice silencing the critics.

Instead of whining about their failures here and there, it's better to focus on their achievements in all formats of Cricket. This is why I strongly believe that these 2 players deserve more chances in the future.

"Silenced the critics?" They got a dozen chances and finally they performed. The difference is that the younger players such as Shaw, Gill and Kishan were dropped after just one bad performance. Anyway, now their slot seems to be confirmed for the rest of the year and let's see how that works for them. Prasidh Krishna had a disappointing debut, and he gave away 37 runs from 3 overs. Apart from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, other bowlers are conceding too many runs.
Finally he took The wicket of Roy, Eng is still in the dominating position because they just need another 183 runs in the next 35 overs so Ind need more wickets which will shatter the Eng batting line up for sure. Good to see that Dhawan and Rahul is getting their form back and the debutant Krunal was excellent in the final overs.
