Is anyone watching the match of Bangladesh Under-19 Youth? Looking at their performance, it seems that they are very talented. They will lead the Bangladesh national team in the future if they are managed properly by the board.
Bangladesh U-19 team is playing against Afghanistan U-19 team. Bangladesh also won the previous match. In today's match, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat. They lost all their wickets to collect only 101 runs. For Bangladesh, Naimur Rahman has taken 4 wickets with only 14 runs in 10 overs.

I am not surprised by the poor performance from Afghanistan, because a lot of turmoil is now ongoing in that country. The players are not being able to concentrate fully on the game I guess. But both the matches were quite close. And Bangladesh batting looks very brittle. In the first match, they managed a total of only 154 runs, while in the second they lost 7 wickets while chasing 102. Afghan spinners (Shahidullah Hasani, Izharulhaq Naveed) caused a lot of issues for the Bangladesh batsmen. Three more ODIs remain. Let's see how Bangladesh fares in them.

I would say this is a good sign for a lot of talented young cricketers from SENA countries who are struggling to get into their A team or even in the T20 franchise. They are getting a good opportunity to show their talent and also earn a decent amount of money. Their performance will also encourage a lot of local young talent to become a cricketer.

Including foreign players is good for the foreigners themselves, but from what I have seen it discourages the natives from taking up the sport. I have noticed this from Europe and East Asia. When teams like Germany and France were fielding native players two decades ago, there was a lot of interest from the natives and growing number of children were taking up cricket. Now most of the European countries field teams that are 100% made of Indians and Pakistanis and I no longer hear stories about children playing cricket there.

It is just ridiculous to import foreigners on tourist visa and then ask them to wear jerseys of different nations to whom they have no connection. None of the other sports, apart from cricket permits this. In all the other sports, only citizens can represent a country. And some, like Basketball even have a limit on the number of naturalized citizens. On the other hand, nowadays a majority of the "national" cricket teams have zero citizens. What sort of joke is this?

Papua New Guinea scored only 62 runs in 19.2 overs. They have already lost 4 wickets. Although I did not think they could win by batting for 272 runs. Even then, if Papua New Guinea can score 200 runs, I think it will be a good collection for them. But now looking at their batting I think they will lose all their wickets in 130-140.

International cricket is moving heavily towards richer boards such as USA and UAE, who can import mercenary players from countries such as India, Pakistan and South Africa. Even here in this match, PNG was fielding a 100% native side. USA didn't had any citizens in their playing XI. But you can clearly see that PNG is not being able to compete against the United States. And this is repeated across all the regions. Even in Europe, teams with 100% expat sides are thrashing those with native players. Same in Asia as well.

In order to strengthen their middle order, they need to kick out useless guys such as Andile Phehlukwayo and promote Wiaan Mulder and George Linde higher up the order. The same can't be said about Sri Lanka. Apart from a few individual performances every now and then, the Lankan batsmen doesn't seems to be in good form.
Although harsh, I agree that Andile Phehlukwayo doesn't add that much value to the team as someone like a certain Cris Morris does. They lose a lot of players to the kolpak deal where local players are playing in England as locals. I saw Simon Harmer playing there and then even Rilee Rossouw left for the deal because he was not given enough chances at the international level. It's important the cricket board of South Africa understand the value of retaining skilled players.

To be honest, though, a lot of this happens because they don't have a culture/interest in cricket as much there is in countries like India and other Asian countries.

Hey guys can someone tell me which platform or where is this match being streamed online? I have no clue where to watch. After reading all the comments it seems this match is interesting. Is this a test or a one day match and apart from USA which other teams are playing?

It is a tri-series, and Nepal is also taking part. If you are from the sub-continent, then you can watch the matches on Fancode App. It is a mobile app, but you can cast your mobile screen on TV and then watch the matches on your television. The subscription fee is ₹399 per year (around $5).

There are too many streaming platforms for cricket nowadays, but I would say that Fancode is worth the money. Here is a comparison of various streaming platforms and their annual fees:

Fancode: ₹399 per year
Hotstar: ₹499 per year
Sony Liv: ₹999 per year
Prime Video: ₹999 per year (no sports, only movies and TV shows).

I have subscription to all these platforms on top of Cable TV. Subscription charges for various TV channels are as follows:

Star Sports 1 HD: ₹269 per year
Star Sports 2 HD: ₹269 per year
Star Sports Select 1 HD: ₹269 per year
Star Sports First: ₹14.16 per year
Star Sports 3: ₹56.64 per year
Sony Ten Sports: ₹761.78 per year

The second ODI between Papua New Guinea and the United States of America will take place shortly thereafter. There is no cricket match to enjoy today so I will enjoy this match. Papua New Guinea will perform on the group stage of the upcoming T20 World Cup. So I'm interested in watching them play this match.
Both teams are very weak. If we look at the ICC ODI rankings, we can see that the United States of America is ranked 19th in the rankings, and Papua New Guinea is ranked 20th. However, USA collected 44 runs in 14 overs and they lost 3 wickets. Since both teams are very weak, it is not possible to say that the match will be won. At any time, anything can happen.
@CryptoBuds I wasn’t even aware that USA had a team for cricket, and now I’m actually planning to see this match as I want to see how they’re playing. Lastly USA have scored 75 runs and have lost 4 wickets, hence if they score 250 runs then I feel that they’ll be able to defend it.
I learned last month that the USA has a cricket team. I was not aware of this team before. However, I still have to watch today's match. With the help of Jaskaran Malhtra's 173 runs, USA collected 271 runs. Jaskaran has scored 173 runs off just 124 balls. He hit 6 over-boundary in the last over. A new record for him. He has hit 16 sixes in the entire match. Extremely impressive batting.

Jaskaran Malhotra's unbeaten innings of 163 was the reason why the USA team was able to give a huge target when the other batsmen of the team failed completely. Jaskaran Malhotra’s innings were really very exciting. Jaskaran Malhotra is a USA player but his birthplace is India. He joined the USA national team in 2019. He is the wicket keeper + batsman of the team.

I did not see the innings but Jaskaran Malhotra literally played a lone innings of 173 runs while the second best score is 22 runs and seven single digit scores Cheesy.
I saw the scoreboard and it looks funny to see that only one batsman was able to change the match. Not sure what to understand from this performance as i am not aware of the strengths and weakness of these teams and i have not watched any of these matches either. 7 players not even crossing double digits looks strange in the scoreboard and yet one performance took the team to 271 runs and what is crazy is that he hit 16 sixes which might be a record.

Amazing to see someone play such incredible innings in a sport where the USA can compete. In his first ODI century for the USA, Jagaran Malhotra makes a lot of noise. He scored 173 on his own as well as 271 as a team. It's pretty cool to see how the cricket game is growing in the U.S. He just became the second player in ODI history to hit 6 consecutive sixes in an over, after Herschelle Gibbs.
Good for Jaskaran Malhotra that he got to play International cricket for a country while many cannot but i am sure if he was in any other Asian country especially if he was in India where he is born there is no way he will be getting selected to play for India simply because of the competition.

Anyone watching the first ODI between Zimbabwe and Ireland? Subcontinent fans won't be much interested, but these matches are part of the Cricket World Cup Super League and therefore very important for both these teams as far as qualification to the 2023 ODI World Cup is concerned. Zimbabwe has started strongly, with Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine smashing the Ireland pacers all around the park. This is a golden opportunity for Ireland to pick up some valuable points, but so far they are not performing up to the mark.

As expected Sl won the series, they are a far better side than the SA. From the beginning, SA batsmen were struggling to play the ball. Good tight and precise balling by the SL bowlers, fielding was also very good. 203 was not a big target to defend but SA batsmen have had no clue what was happening in the field.

I don't think that Sri Lanka is a better side when compared to South Africa. The first two matches were close, and SL won the third match only because the track provided too much support for the spinners. And I still regard Sri Lanka as the weakest side among the 9 test teams in the first division. They are in a never-ending decline. The national cricket board is not in talking terms with the players and the domestic structure is in shambles. A series win, just by preparing horrible surfaces doesn't matter much in the long run.

I think so. But if we look at the two teams very closely, both teams are trying their best to get back on the truck. But they do not have enough talented players now. They have to create players or find talented players. With such an unstable team, they will not be able to perform well for very long. Their ability will be understood in the World Cup. But I think the South African team from Sri Lanka is strong because the South African bowling lineup is still strong enough. Sri Lankan pitch spin is helpful. So the South African bowlers did not perform well.
