I just checked cricinfo and they are showing Live India Vs Pakistan Match ?  How is that possible ?

Sideeffects of locked down coming out very quickly  Cheesy Grin

Edit: This match was played nine years back on this day so just because of this they are doing this all today.

Not only cricinfo, but star sports was playing this full match (not highlights) on their channel.

Due to this lockdown, many people may lose their jobs like espncricinfo commentators who did the written commentary on all the  live matches, have nothing to do these days (except today  Wink )

Lol

Mental illness is another issue of quarantine.

Why add Live and mislead the viewers? Struggling to survive I guess that is why they are using such tactics to lure viewers and calm down the advertiser.

They are running a program called retro live from what i understand as i have seen many matches replicating old matches and copy pasting the old commentary with a live score card Cheesy, since there are no new contents they need to come up with something to make things interesting for the website so that they will have visitors and thereby have the revenue through advertisement.

You know what would be more funny and bizarre situation?

People betting on these games with full seriousness and then ending up on losing side by losing bet Grin
Peoples are frustrated with this all locked down so they want to do something interesting and if they are doing betting on this match its ok Wink

@JSRAW first of all that’s not possible unless the person has never watched cricket, and is dealing with a local bookie who’s clever enough to trick him into betting in this match. @BitSat19 this is not a live match mate it’s an old match so why would people bet on this when they already know how it ended?.

So it means there will be more of such matches ? I do not find them interesting. If anyone want to watch the match, the could better watch the highlights why waste time on watching each and every ball which is already been played. Soon people will be fed up of these old matches, as there is no comparison for the live matches.
Yes there will be more matches like that, the first match they did was the Benson & Hedges World Cup at Melbourne, Mar 25 1992 between England and Pakistan and the second match was 2011 World Cup 2nd SF between India and Pakistan, there is no clarity on what match they will be doing next but they seems to involve major matches during World Cup tournaments.
World Cup Matches those played in March and April as they are celebrating for sack fo this all Locked Down hopefully in next few days we will have Final of Word Cup 2011.

Even when i saw the first retro match showing as live i was thinking that they are playing the veteran matches during the time of virus scare and when i saw the scoreboard then i understood that they are just replicating the old matches and copy pasting the old matches as live  Cheesy.

Best ever Reverse Swinger was Sarfraz Nawaz he give good tips to Imran Khan and Mudassar Nazar then its shifter to others like Wasim Akram Waqar Younas and Aaqib Jawad now its all around the world its really change concept of fast bowling and bring some good charm for them but now Pakistan is going much behind as they are not bringing good bowlers.

Yes.. I researched a bit and found that it was Sarfraz Nawaz who invented reverse swing. According to some sources, he invented it along with another Pakistani fast bowler (Sikander Bakht). However, according to Shaharyar Khan, this technique was first invented by Salim Mir (who played for the Punjab Cricket Club in Lahore along with Sarfraz Nawaz). Anyway, it was Nawaz who first introduced it to international cricket (during the late 70s).
I never watch him in any format as he was retired very early but my father really love and believe this was one of best bowling spells by any bowler as he destroy Australia in MCG with his lethal weapon and change the game very quickly https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/17094/scorecard/63235/australia-vs-pakistan-1st-test-pakistan-tour-of-australia-1978-79

Exactly, 28 years ago on this day, March 25, Pakistan won their first ever One day International world Cup in 1992. It was a day to remember and a rejoice for the nation.  Smiley   Happy Memories.

The Pakistani team of 1992 was legendary. They were captained by their best ever captain (Imran Khan, who is now the Prime Minister of Pakistan). The Pakistani pace battery back then was probably the best at that time. They had bowlers such as Wasim Akram and Aaqib Javed. Even the batting lineup was very strong, including Inzamam-ul-Haq, Aamir Sohail, Javed Miandad, Rameez Raja and Moin Khan.

Although all of them were great players but if you remember the team was not so strong and to qualify for the last four, they had to depend upon the other matches result also had to beat the unbeaten NZ in their own home ground. The win in the Semi final against NZ was a miracle where Inzimam-ul-Haq who was fresh into team that time, played a match winning innings.

That was the time when Pakistan had really very good fast bowlers and who were one of the best in the world. As the years pass by once all this legendry retired then we dint had many who were there for a long time. Many came and gone for short duration but not like who had served the country for 10 years or so. Shoaib was one of them who was very quick and did well for his country.

Reverse swing was first invented by Pakistani pace bowlers during the 1990s (especially Wasim Akram, Aaquib Javed, Waqar Younis and Mudassar Nazar). It took more than a decade for the other players to learn this trick. And this gave them a huge advantage during that time, as the other bowlers (who depended more on seam, rather than swing) struggled on flat sub-continental tracks.

Reverse swing was once a forte of Pakistan cricket team. Till mid 90s they were dominating the cricket world with this concept of bowling. Then came globalization in each 2000 and famous Pakistani bowlers were hired as balling coach, these guys taught other teams this concept. Now except Pakistan all other teams have good bowlers.

This is why you should not reveal your trade sceret.
