It was unfortunate that they ended on a losing side by just 4 runs chasing a score of 323 runs .Tiripano blistering innings helped Zimbabwe to come so close to the chase and yet just missed the win.
I did not anticipate Zimbabwe to fight till the end, i was expecting an easy win for Sri Lanka but the Zimbabwe middle order played some outstanding innings and Mutombodzi and Tiripano took the game close with some entertaining knock but they fell short by just 4 runs. If the top order played well and gave them a good start they would have chased the total.

More bad news coming out from Noida. Schools will now remain shut till March 9th. March 10th is an official holiday in india, so basically till 10 th of March school will be shut. I fear South African board might cancel the tournament and this situation can also affect IPL.

From what I have heard, only two people have tested positive in India this week. Two of the schools have closed, since the child of one of the positive cases used to study there. That said, my friends in Delhi are saying that there is no sign of a lock down and the public transport is operating as usual. If things get out of hand, then the ongoing Ranji Trophy tournament might get postponed (semi-final matches are ongoing now).
Bangladesh ended up making 322/8. In reponse Zimb opener Kamunhukamwe fell for 51 runs and now on pitch Madhevere is on 39 and Sikandar Raza is batting on 31 runs. The task is big in front of them as they are 160/4 . They still require another 163 runs in 16.5 overs and asking rate is climbing close to 10. Only if this 2 batsman can play another 10 overs Zimbabwe might have hope that they are close to this chase.
Anyway, if the series indeed starts then we might see a one sided series? The current South Africa team is too weak for India.
True that it will be one sided match but don't forget that South Africa is leading the 3 matches ODI series (1-0) and the win was a big one for them (SA won by 74 runs). With the sudden increase of suspected coronavirus cases in india, I doubt this tournament will happen. In just two day more than 6 new cases have been detected. Till yesterday it was two.

It's too risky now traveling internationally and the fear is strong. If this does not turn as disaster then may be we will see the series. The boards should be well aware about this.

ICC needs to open its eyes. Every year, close to 12 million USD is send to the Zimbabwe Cricket Board by the ICC. And most of this amount get stolen and the quality of cricket in Zimbabwe continues to decline. At the same time, promising sides such as Nepal and Malaysia are struggling due to the lack of funds. My advice is to suspend Zimbabwe for an infinite period of time, and distribute the funds among the associate nations.
If it was that easy to do ICC would have done that already, i think they have cut short the funding and degraded their status recently, it is not that easy to claim that the funds are stolen just like that, either you need some evidence to substantiate the proof to completely stop the funding, if not it will be against the contract they have, i guess they have a contract with the Zimbabwe cricket board regarding the funds.Bangladesh lost two wickets because of their sloppy running between the wickets but Tamim Iqbal is still in the crease approaching his century against Zimbabwe and if they are able to score over 280 runs it will be a tough chase for Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh after winning the toss decided to bat against Zimbawe and the opener Tamin played one of the best innings of his life by making 158 runs. This has helped the team to reach 297/5 in 46 overs. If Mithun can stay till 50 overs then Bangladesh can aim for 335+ runs easily and would be a good score to defend.

This would be good opportunity for these two players. I think K L Rahul has more chance of leading the team. Prithvi Shaw will again get a chance, I am sure he will be replacing Rohit shetty as an opener.

West Indies once again proved that apart from the T20 format, they can't compete against quality sides in international cricket. They have some of the best T20 players in the world. No T20 franchise league is complete without the West Indian players. But this overemphasis on T20 has taken a toll on the ODI and test formats. They are losing even to weak sides such as Afghanistan in the other formats.
West Indies had a really good start with century opening partnership and then loosing the match is just a big mess they have to sort out, Angelo Mathews played an important role in the match with his bowling picking up wickets at regular intervals to put pressure back on West Indies and it is a good performance by Sri Lanka. The problem with West Indies is that majority of the players are tailor made for T20 who could smack the ball a long way and this West Indies team lacked Andre Russel nor Gayle even though he is 40 he could make a difference if he keeps going, West Indies needs to find young talents rather than relying on really old players.
Yes bro west indies has got a solid start from opening partnership score and I thought that when they are in 218/3 for 40 overs, west indies can easily chaise the target. But last 10 overs change the match because of great bowling performances from Sri Lankan and they can win the odi series with 3_0.

What a superb match being witnessed between WI vs SL , where the way WI started seemed that it should be an easy chase and in later on SL pulled the wickets and in last Allen fast paced innings of 37 in 15 balls almost bought WI to victory but wickets kept falling on other end and as a result SL pulled back the match on their side and won it by 6 runs . It was a real roller coaster ride both teams have gone through in the match .
