Not expecting any wonders from the Zimbabwe side. They made a weak team if I compare them with Bangladesh team. I doubt if they will be able to win this match. Bangladesh has already won the series.
Just checked the score and it seems Bangladesh are cruising, 182 for no wickets and it's only 33.2 overs. In the 2nd ODI Bangladesh gave a target of 323 runs and Zimbabwe were very close to chase it down (318) so considering that, this cruising may not still safe if the total runs do not go over 320+.

Not sure if it's the pitch or the bowlers are bowling low quality in this series.

And there is a rain delay , if anyone has bet over 300 now it will be difficult even if the overs aren't reduced . This is why weather plays an important role in betting ( especially cricket ) . Bad luck for Zimbabwe in the 2nd ODI , I thought they would pull it off and make the this final ODI much more interesting . None the less , waiting for the T20 series now.

3rd ODI begins and Zimbabwe asked Bangladesh to bat and would be disappointed with this call as they have post the highest opening partnership of 182/0 before the rains interrupted the match .  33.2 overs have being bowled and Das has hit another century and batting on 102 and Tamim on 79. I think if match starts it may reduced the overs. Zimbabwe might just want to pick up quick wickets now so that even if DL come into picture later they can have advantage .

SA in the end won it comfortably by wickets . Malan 129 not out helped SA to ensure that he stayed till the last run is scored and help them to win the series of 3 match by 2-0. Final match is on Saturday and SA would want to make it a whitewash . Ngidi 6 wicket haul for 58 also ensured that OZ do not pose a big score on the board .

The Australian total was not bad. They made 271 in 50 overs. The surface at Mangaung Oval was favoring batsmen and bowlers equally, and in such circumstances it was not a bad total. It was the weak bowling which cost Australia the match. None of their bowlers, including Starc and Cummins could trouble the South African batsmen after the initial success.

Honestly I didn't expect SA to take 2-0 lead and winning the series. I didn't watch the match, but was only checking the scores. So when I saw that AUS were losing wickets at regular intervals and posted a score of 271 runs, I thought a good opening start is needed for SA to win the match. But then de Kock got out in the first over and Malan/Smuts were scoring at 3 runs per over. But they went on to build a beautiful partnership resulting in the win. It looks like the partnership was built up slowly and nicely, if they can build such a partnership in ODIs when can't they manage to do the same in Tests. I know it's a different ball game. But still why can't they be a bit more resilient in Tests.

I think I saw the pre-series odds of 3.4 for SA to win the series . I wish I had taken it , but none the less I had a bet on SA for the second ODI and they didn't disappoint ( Although I am pretty sure Aussie fans will be kicking the chairs ) . I have seen on multiple sports forums that Cricket is dying in Australia , it was hard to believe that at first but after looking at the crowd in Big Bash and now , it seems true .
The fact that Aussies are playing like this doesn't help building fan base in Australia but none the less , kudos to SA for winning the series .

I don't know what is going through the minds of Janneman Malan and Jon-Jon Smuts right now. The required run rate is almost 6 runs per over, and these guys are scoring at a rate of around 3 runs per over. And the funniest part is that the spinners are bowling right now, with leggie Adam Zampa and left-armer Ashton Agar going through the overs quickly.

Relax!!!
They are playing just fine they are trying to built up a partnership. Plenty of overs left nothing to worry. They only need good five overs to correct the duneate. The score is well within the reach. South Africa needs a good partnership at this stage.

The match is well poised as SA needs 108 runs in 90 balls and 7 wickets in hand . Malan is batting on 70 and Klassen is on 40 and if they stay on wicket for next 5-7 overs SA will inch closer to victory and if OZ can take this 2 wickets quickly match will come in their side . It’s going to be interesting how this 2 batsman take on from here. Will one start to hit and make quick runs it will just continue to take singles and two’s.
Well played by South Africa in start I was sure Australia will be on for 310 to 320 but batting collapes just because of Ngidi's good bowling and they restict them on some good chaseable target Malan playing his 2nd ODI complete all things for them with very good knock look like this is going to be whitewash.

It was a comfortable win by the South Africans. They won by six wicket. From the beginning they dominated the match with their balling and restricting the Australians from scoring big. They have won the series and now they will go for a complete white wash.

Hmm.. perhaps you are right. Both of them tried to push up the run rate after I made my post, but Jon-Jon Smuts got out during that attempt. The Australian captain has brought in his best bowler (Pat Cummins) and he is trying hard to pick another wicket. South Africa is looking comfortable now, at 95/2 after 22 overs. The advantage is with them currently.

2nd ODI begins between OZ vs SA . OZ winning the toss and decided to bat first . They dint started that well and have lost 3 wickets for 94 runs in 15.4 overs . Run rate is good but now they require a good partnership to build a innings so that in the end they can accelerate the scoreboard . All three wickets till now is taken by Ngidi. He is bowling really well and great to see the fast bowler causing some trouble le for the batsman to play .

217/4 is an achievable target for South Africa, if they play sensibly and calmly. If South Africa wins this match then they will win the series. Good balling by Lungi, he took 3 wickets for 46.

Finch and Short both innings of 69 runs have helped OZ to score 271 runs in 50 overs . Thought he score is not that big but wickets that is going to matter for SA. If Oz can take couple of quick wickets early on then they can put the pressure on the remaining batsman . On other hand SA would want to get a good start so that they would be able to win this match as well .

Anyway, if the series indeed starts then we might see a one sided series? The current South Africa team is too weak for India.
True that it will be one sided match but don't forget that South Africa is leading the 3 matches ODI series (1-0) and the win was a big one for them (SA won by 74 runs). If they can manage to win the series they will be very confidence and have a great fight against India too.
Rohit and Virat not playing so it should be good content.

@pakhitheboss i doubt that but if it happens then its okay too, good for players as some of them can use rest before the IPL.

More bad news coming out from Noida. Schools will now remain shut till March 9th. March 10th is an official holiday in india, so basically till 10 th of March school will be shut. I fear South African board might cancel the tournament and this situation can also affect IPL.

Very ugly situation in the making.

Things presently are getting only worse as new cases is being found in the entire world and as the dates are nearing for IPL definitely it will effect it and not sure if the dates could also be postponed as next tournaments etc is already schedule . Might be few players may not come due to the rapidly rising of virus unless by Mid March things started to get much better and able to curb it .

I did not anticipate Zimbabwe to fight till the end, i was expecting an easy win for Sri Lanka
I was thinking about wagging a bet on this match but the odds were too low to make and hence i opted out and now i wonder what would the odds be when it looked like Zimbabwe was trying to chase the big total, i guess it would have been crazy good valuation when the run chase was close, another reason was that the Zimbabwe players are new to me as i have not seen a single match they played .

Outstanding match today between Zim and Bangladesh and the way Zimbabwe middle order batsman played and attacked it looked a different team all together . It was unfortunate that they ended on a losing side by just 4 runs chasing a score of 323 runs .Tiripano blistering innings helped Zimbabwe to come so close to the chase and yet just missed the win.

Yes it was really excited to see such performance from Zimbabwe because they was loss the match with only 4 runs chasing target of 323 runs I thought they can get thrilled win at end but unfortunately Zimbabwe has lost the game at end.
