Warner just got his hundred. He seems to be in splendid form. Another 55 runs are needed and Australia is having all 10 wickets intact. A lot of praise was showered on the Indian bowlers during the past few months. But see how mediocre is their performance today. Bumrah is returning from an injury and it is understandable. But what about the other bowlers? They look clueless.

Australia proved that they can defeat India in their own game as the openers are attacking the Indian bowlers and they are cruising for a victory in the first ODI, i was expecting to be a close match but once they bowled India to a small score i knew there is no way that India could trouble the Aussie batsman to defend a small total but now famed Indian bowlers were not even able to pick a wicket yet and they might cruise to a 10 wicket victory.

It seems match is already slipped away from India now as they are 110/0 in 14 overs and now just require 147 runs in 36 overs with 10 wickets in hand. It should be very easy chase for them now as Warner and Finch are hammering the bowlers everywhere. Can India turnaround from here?

The Indian captain made the mistake of sticking on with the pace bowlers. Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Shami were conceding a lot of runs, and the Australian batsmen (David Warner and Aaron Finch) were making use of their pace to score runs. He should have called the spinners earlier. The run rate dipped once Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja started their spells.

LOL... Australian batsmen treating the Indian bowlers with absolute disdain. After 12 overs, they are 94/0 (run rate of 7.83 per over, with required RR of just 4.28). The number 1 bowler in the world (Bumrah) went for 7 runs per over, while Shardul Thakur conceded 32 from his three overs. But I would rather blame the Indian batsmen. Any total of less than 300 is not defendable at the Wankhede.

It seems 300+ was an easy goal but now looks like we will see a score of highest 280? I do not trust Pant much so considering him to be gone in any moment LOL
280 seems tough too since India is consistently losing wickets at this point. If Jadeja and Pant fall, I feel like they might reach 250 which will be an easy target for the Australians. They need to post something close to 300 to stay competitive at this point.

Its been a long time since Indian batsmen faced any quality bowling attack (almost 8 months after world Cup and facing Ban, WI, SL, SA) and when they did on batting pitch they lost their way completely, Although Indian tailenders doing okay job .
Good point you got there. Indian batsmen were getting this habit of facing average bowling and today on a sudden the table turned upside down. Now they are all gone for 255 runs and it will be interesting to see how the Indian bowlers perform against top batsman of Australia.

My horse has very good chance to win :-D

Rohit's dismissal costed them a lot and now with just bowlers left to bat and a low score below 250-260 will cost them this match. Aussies bowled the best today that even Kohli lost his wicket early. I just hope they cross 270 but it seems too unexpected at this stage.

255 all out  Cry

I don't want to be delusional as India have already lost half the battle. Now just manage to save the runs till the 48th over  Sad

India is shuffling the batting order to include a left hand right hand combination and they broke up the best openening partnership in the world in recent times which is KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma and the best no 3 batsman Kohli is moved to no 4. Shikhar Dhawan was struggling as he scored 3 runs in 22 balls and now he broke the shackle by scoring 2 boundaries and Shreyas Iyer does have the opportunity to perform well as he is a promising talent and i am hoping he will take advantage of the opportunity.

OZ winning the toss and decided to bowl first. I am quite sceptical with their decision as they have not played ODI from long and now going to chase. India is batting well with score of 128/1 in 26 overs. Dhawan is playing well and if he makes 100 India can easily surpass 300 runs + in the first innings. OZ needs to pick couple of quick wickets to stop them making big score.

Exactly what said that OZ needs to pick quick wickets and they did that beacuse of which India have lost 8 quick wickets for just 242 runs in 45 overs only .  Now interesting thing here is will India get all our first or will they bat 50 overs full .

Edit :- India could not manage to bat full 50 overs and OZ got them off before only and that too with score of just 255.

4 down now but I think India is still in a good track although Virat's loss is a big one. I have put my money on India. India's bowling is also good and they can also have a good time like Australian are having now. Looking for a good partnership from Iyer and Pant.
Iyer departed early. I don't really trust Pant that much and I think he might depart quickly too. Jadeja once again shoulders the burden now.

India 2 down.
This match is not going to be a one sided one. Both team knows their game even scoring a 300+ runs will not be safe enough against a team like Australia. My money on Australia by the way.

Sad to hear Dhoni is not playing, l guess new players will be tested. Wankhede is a batting track, team winning toss will bat first and set a target of more than 280 plus.
Dhoni is not in the team after the World Cup and whether he himself is not available for selection is not clear. If it is a batting track 280 runs is not a huge total in today's game and India does have the players to score above 300 runs and only then it will be an interesting battle.

Australia electing to bowl first. Let's see how muc Team India scores batting first.
India started with a boundary and i hope it will be a classic battle as Australia does have a good batting line that could challenge any team.
