Got to know Aus have not played an ODI since WC. Hope they struggle now lol.
India will be having an advantage in this series but Australia is playing well right now and the entire series depends upon how Australian batsman is going to deal with the Indian pitch and i think they will not come up with a green pitch that could aide fast bowlers and i am expecting a batsman friendly pitch in this series and i will be surprised if the matches are not high scoring matches.

The series between India vs australia they are going play in all three matches pitch will be high score pitch like Chinnaswamy stadium Bangalore, wankhede Mumbai,
And today we have match in wankhede Mumbai so we can expect high scoring match there maybe it will be very difficult to control the australian top order batting lineup because we know they are very good hitters let's see how   Indian bowlers going to attack today.

This is going to be very interesting. I want to see how well Mitchell Starc adjust with the Indian conditions. He is someone who depends a lot on pace and swing, and therefore the lack of grass shouldn't matter much. And also, I want to see younger Indian pacers such as Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur bowling against the Australian batsmen. They have performed well against the weaker teams, and this will be a real test.
The series against Australia will be a real test of character for all the players, some were able perform well against weaker teams but the touring Australian team is in great form and it is a real challenge for India and after a long time i am seeing good odds for a match and i am expecting a tough match and high scoring one as batsman from both the teams are in good form and since the series is in India i am giving the edge for India to win the series.

Ind VS Aus 3 ODI series is starting with in 20 hours. Squad is set for both teams and we can hope for good contest as both teams are strong competitors.

Fun Fact : Mitchell Starc featured in 85+ ODI games for Aus but played only 1 ODI in India back in 2010 (Debut series). so his 2nd ODI game in India after 9 long years.

Australian Squad: Aaron Finch (c), D'Arcy Short, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, Kane Richardson, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

Indian Squad: Virat Kohli (c),Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul,Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami.

The fact was really unknown and also this would be their 1st ODI after WC . So things might be little shaky for them though they have being playing cricket well in other formats but paying ODI with Indian and that too on India would be difficult .

Wankhede is lucky for MI and the Indian team and it's winter so hoping to see runs more than 350-400. Aus has won 29 ODIs against India in India in total 61 matches so hoping to see this series won by India now as they have a well settled team this time. Missing Dhoni. He should have played for his team in ODIs atleast.

Finally India will be having a competitive team after a long time, even with weaker teams India used to get defeated in a game in the series and what happens when they are facing a good team like Australia and with the return of Bumrah their bowling is great and how the Indian batsman are going to face the Australian bowlers decides how the series will be as Australia never had a good series in India in recent times but now things are different with the return of Warner and Smith in the team.

Ireland lost their 3rd ODI yesterday. That means that the West Indies whitewashed the series 3-0. I know that the Irish board is not very rich and the players are not getting much opportunities. But that's the way it is in cricket. If you want sponsorship and advertising revenue, then you should showcase your caliber by defeating the big teams. They managed to do that in 2011 World Cup, when they defeated England. This enabled them to get some good deals. But after they were granted the test status (in 2017), their performance has been mediocre. The other associate sides have performed better than them.

Blaming the players is a bit too harsh. I do agree with it. The board should give these players more opportunities to play with international players and they will surely improve. Their circumstances have not allowed them to improve their performance.
If these players get the exposure with world class international players then they will learn from them and improve without a doubt and playing in franchisee cricket will get the best exposure like the IPL but the problem is that you need to have the minimum standard to get selected. Playing against tough teams will help them but will it improve their techniques is still questionable.

Also I feel the criticism directed at Ireland players is a bit harsh, because you’ll need to understand that they were never pros in this sport and it’ll take them quite a while before they can offer some serious competition to their opponents.
I agree with this statement as you cannot blame them for not winning, they need to find good bowlers if they plan to have a competitive edge against top quality batsman, new teams like Afghanistan has Rashid Khan and other similar world class bowlers and they need consistent batsman while the other countries like Ireland has batsman that could change a match but are not consistent and they lack a world class bowler, if you are to challenge top teams you need to have an extra ordinary player and the rest of the team will revolve around him.

^^ Oh boy just checked the scoreboard after reading few comments and it was really nail biting match. my bad i missed it, Where are you watching this live? i might check out last match or may be T-20 series.

I watch all the matches live or at least watch the full highlights. Ireland was very close to a win but West Indies managed to win by just 1 Wicket.
The Last ball was hit for a six making WI cross the line. It was a nail bitter thriller.

Alzarri Joseph was well deserved Man of the match.

Ireland once again proved that they are the ultimate chokers of world cricket. I was watching the match live on YouTube (WICB made the live streaming available for free). They needed 5 runs from the last overs, with just one wicket remaining. Hayden Walsh and Sheldon Cottrell were batting and Mark Adair was given the bowling responsibility.

All Ireland had to do was to keep Cottrell on strike. He was struggling to give strike to Walsh and Adair missed two simple chances to run him out. If Irish players perform like this, then I don't think they will remain in international scene much longer. All Adair had to do was to collect the ball and strike the stumps (batsman was miles away in both the cases). He missed, in both the cases.

They are not playing a lot of international cricket and that might be one of the reason they missed out on this simple opportunity. This what is called lack of international cricket exposure and experience.

On a serious note Ireland should be given more international cricket exposure and only ICC can schedule more matches for this country. They have a lot of talents and they prove this whenever they are allowed to play against big teams. If they are not given the exposure, they will only remain an underdog team.

It also depends on Irish cricket board, they should negotiate with ICC and other boards for the team to participate in tri series or single series tournaments happening around the globe. Blaming ICC won' t help.

Why will ICC allow them to play more matches think realistically guys, ICC is only interested in making money and advertisers won’t pay top dollars for Ireland matches hence I don’t expect Ireland to play lots of international cricket matches anytime soon.

However if Ireland board is smart enough then they can send their top players in T20 leagues and focus on helping their players become global stars once this happens ICC will automatically schedule more international matches for them.

Also I feel the criticism directed at Ireland players is a bit harsh, because you’ll need to understand that they were never pros in this sport and it’ll take them quite a while before they can offer some serious competition to their opponents.

A much awaiting ODI series between Australia and India beginning in 4 days from now. Here is the brief schedule.

(Source:- Cricinfo)

This series will be way much better than the just concluded T20 series with srilanka, which was an absolute disaster for the fans and the team. I hope we get to see some pressure games in this series.

This is going to be a real cracket of a series as both team are really the top teams at this point of time and India slightly have advantage as the series is being played in India. Also, first match is in Mumbai where it is going to be a batting surface and anything above 325+ runs would be a good score.

They can't escape criticism by giving these sort of excuses. Ireland is in the privileged club now and they are one of the test nations. In terms of funding, they get much more than what other teams such as the Netherlands and Scotland are getting. They are now playing regularly against top teams such as England and West Indies, which is an opportunity that is not given for the other teams.
What is the point in criticizing if the selectors are not able to find the talents that are world class to play cricket because only a few followers in Ireland as it is not the most popular sport. The most popular sports are Rugby, Gaelic handball, Hurling, Gaelic football, Golf and people are interested to play these sports rather than playing Cricket and that is the biggest problem that they are finding it hard to find good talents.
