We need to have few things in mind as we are playing bilateral series in ODI format we will never have Super Over because this is only for the T20l now as we have this first game ended in tie this is huge booster for the Sri Lanka because they were playing against full strength Indian side and things were clearly favouring visitors for having easy win after restricting Sri Lanka on 230 runs in 50 overs due to quality bowling.

In reply, we have good start for the India as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill give have 75 runs in just 12 overs but after this we have mini collapse which hurt Indians badly specially at the end players were overconfident which give bring problems for them, and they were not able to end this game as mostly were expected 189 for 6, and then we have 230 for 10 this was big below for them and good fightback for the Sri Lanka they have good all all-rounder Dunith Wellalage 21 years old having good impact on Sri Lanka with bat and ball he needs to be consistent for the future.

Despite the low score in the match, there was great excitement. Sri Lanka's short runs might have pointed to their defeat, but that was not the case. I think Sri Lanka has been able to show enough skill here. Their bowling was so good that they restricted India to few runs. I wouldn't call India's performance as a team very good in this match as it was supposed to be an easy win for them but it didn't happen. Although neither team lost but there was a chance for India to win. Rohit Sharma was the only Indian batsman who batted with a strike rate of 123. A major factor in not winning the match was the incompetence of the batsmen. Kuldeep Yadav scored only 2 runs off 10 balls and this is where the biggest loss of the match took place. Hope India get a very easy win in 2nd ODI.

I think Shivam Dube has the good role in the team, he made fewer runs but important and crucial runs, that was the last stages of the game and he came to play in the end that is why he has to play well and he played to perfection.

Hitting boundaries and cover drive to calm down himself and out from the pressure but the another try for the hunger of runs were expensive when he tried to play the ball down then he got the LBW OUT and then the INDIAN team had all out. Also, Kuldeep Yadav was also a good option for them but he also didn't play well because from somewhere he could bat well but not last night.

Well, I have to say another thing. both of the teams also had given 8 runs as extras. So neither of these teams actually had any kind of advantage from each other. this was really unexpected because India was in a very good position to win the match. India started to lose wickets very frequently. if anything, Sri Lanka started really bad and somehow was able to reach 230 at the end. This should have been a very easy target for India. but congratulations to the Sri Lankan team for actually being able to make it so hard for India and eventually not letting India win. But in the end Sri Lanka was able to not win but draw the match.

Actualy they are going to celebrate light this is a win for them. Now there is a genuine chance for Sri Lanka to actually draw the series as well. because this is a three match series. Sri Lanka will have to win only one.

The Sri Lanka team always don’t take the good start but in the end, they play so good. I think they have to change their opening pair and also as we have seen in the last matches, the Sri Lankan team and players are not managing all the steps to win a match. They lack either in bowling or batting and are not consistent.

Imagine in this match, they bowled well, the result would have been different. Now I am sure you will see good batting by the Sri Lankan team in the next match or maybe poor bowling. I would say if the series was India's home series India would probably have given their young players a chance. BCCI would probably not have kept experienced players like Rohit and Kohli in the squad. But this is Sri Lanka's home series. It will not be easy for India to win against Sri Lanka at home in Sri Lanka. We got proof of this in the first match itself. This is why BCCI kept Kohli and Rohit in their squad.

Considering the pitch, the Sri Lankan team managed to provide a big target. It was difficult to bat well in the second innings on this pitch. So even though the Indian squad was strong, it was difficult for India to win by batting at a target of 231 runs. Even so, India's two openers got off to a good start. Rohit Sharma's innings in particular was very important. If the subsequent batsmen were able to maintain some consistency then it would not have been a difficult task for India to win this match.

The bowling of the Sri Lankan bowlers was good in this match. Especially Asalanka, Wellalage and Hasaranga bowled very controlled. After losing the wicket of Shubman Gill for 75 runs, India quickly lost two crucial wickets of Rohit and Washington Sundar. And even then no other batsman in the Indian squad could stay at the crease for long.

Even if India doesn't win the first match, I think we will see India win this series. Indian players will definitely learn from the performance of the first match. And India will try to perform better in the next matches.

The first match turned out to be a very exciting one. India ended up with a tie, in a match which they could have won otherwise. It was the first match in the series, so I believe that they were a bit complacent. Charith Asalanka on the other hand was the surprise package. The Sri Lankan team has really performed incredibly, it must be commendable because of the good performance from the bowling side. Due to pressure from the bowling side, India lost all the wickets, Mohammad Siraj scored five runs off 11 balls for India. If he could have tried then surely they should have supported the Indian team's victory with the bat. But the Indian team also failed in this aspect, so the Sri Lankan team lost 8 wickets and all the wickets of the Indian team fell.

So in many aspects the victory definitely goes to the Sri Lankan team, and the performance of the Sri Lankan team was the most interesting for the audience because of the unbelievable performance of the Sri Lankan team. I have rarely seen such a competitive match in the game of cricket, I was really shocked Charith Asalanka he bowled a truly magical performance. Two wickets fell in the last two balls of his over where the Sri Lankan team had a really interesting time.
