Anyway, the man of the match is the captain of the West Indies whose name is Shai Hope. What a play by him.

Defeating a second string England side, who themselves are not doing very good recently is not going to matter much.

If you have noticed the erratic performance of the West Indies players then you must have noticed why their performance is erratic. They have enough power hitting batsmen and good quality bowlers in their country but none of them want to play for the national team rather they are more interested in playing franchise tournaments only. The West Indies Cricket Board cannot pay the players properly as it is natural for the players to play cricket despite the decision of the cricket board when they get the opportunity to earn crores of rupees. If the West Indies Cricket Board had given salary allowances or perks like other teams then this team would have performed as before and not qualified for the World Cup but would have performed much better.

I mentioned in a previous post on ODI Cricket that if West Indies' two players Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer can be set on the pitch then they can win the match. Both of them made good contributions in yesterday's match. Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 109 off 83 balls in the last match. His final finishing was impressive. They were under pressure in the last two overs of the match but Shai Hope brought them out of that situation. He also managed to score a century. Along with him, Shimron Hetmyer also gave a good innings of 32 runs off 30 balls. The West Indies team is definitely hoping that they will enter the cricket again in a new approach.

The West Indies team as we know it was much stronger than before when their old players were in their team. But in the middle, when the old players retired, the team started performing very badly. Due to which they did not qualify for the World Cup, however, we have seen the young players of West Indies win the first ODI match against England. However, although the England team won the World Cup in 2019 but qualified for the World Cup in 2023, their time has passed with the worst performance in this World Cup. The first ODI match against the West Indies, as England have been underperforming since the start of the World Cup, also ended in a very poor performance, leading to a loss against the West Indies. shai hope batted brilliantly where he gifted the West Indies fans with a magnificent century, while England's veteran on the other hand failed to take a single wicket but scored 98 runs. It's really sad for the England team that despite being an experienced player Sam Curran couldn't win for the team instead they had to lose, but maybe they will try to win the next match against West Indies.

Yes, England could not win because of the failure of England's bowling line. England's batsmen performed well, setting a huge target of 326 runs which was enough to win. Especially Brydon Carse and Sam Curran these two very bad performance England lost. Sam Curran gave 98 runs before the end of 10 overs, Brydon Carse gave 73 runs in 9 overs. England's bowling line needs to be improved in the next match. West Indies win the 1st match to lead the series 1-0. The 2nd match will be on December 6, England must win to level the series. England will look to do much better in the next match, we expect the second match to be much more competitive.

Due to lengthy ODI worldcup players are tired and not willing to play test or ODI. England had a terrible odi world cup and there team even didn't qualified for next champions trophy due to that terrible performance. Despite that terrible performance they send another team which is more weaker then the one that participated in ODI world cup and result is evident from first ODI.

I completely agree with your analysis of England's recent defeat. Their lack of good form, as evident from their performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup, set the stage for challenges. I was not expecting that performance from England because we have seen that what the England did in the ICC World Cup. In the England team I still didn't see a best player except Harry Brook in this match he only made 71 runs otherwise no one go above 50 runs. By the they made a good target of 326 runs.

But on the other hand I am surprised to see the performance of West Indies. Alick Athanaze made 66 runs and after that the player of the match Shau Hope the captain and the wicket keeper Played really well and made 109 runs. In these 109 runs he hit 7 sixes and 4 fours.
With this West Indies won the match.

They have three matches series. Let's see what the England will do in the next 2 matches. West Indies played well I hope they will win the series to.

England batters perform well and scored a decent defendable target against a team who haven't even qualify for ICC ODI world Cup named west indies, I taught they will continue thier bad form the way they continue in entire world cup but I think they really work hard on thier weakness and really improved thier self's. Now today things were same bad for England but later some firey innings from brook and some tale under batter managed a good target but but but bowler runied entire thier hard work and struggle because some worst performance from thier bowlers especially curren allow thier opponent batter to settle down build partnership and due that they almost chased down the required Target. Now thier set batters are on crease and required just few runs which they will easily chase down and won the first match
