Every player in the 2023 World Cup Team India played brilliantly. Their hopes of becoming champions ended after losing the 2023 World Cup final match against Australia. India's ODI squad has been reshuffled for the upcoming tour of South Africa with 13 of India's performing players rested for the 2023 World Cup. The South Africa ODI series squad has been announced under the leadership of Lokesh Rahul. Apart from Rahul, Iyer and Kuldeep are among the players in the 2023 World Cup And let's see the new face in 13 players

Indian team was played good in their home ground but before the final their all matches was good enough to defeat all the teams before. Even before they had already played enough good cricket against Australia in their match that was done before the Final.

Even for Australia the target was so easy to achieve and also now in the t20 series that is already played at their home ground. Australia played good cricket against the team India regarding the performance of Glenn Maxwell.
Rahul Dravi is the main Course of the Indian team. Rahul Dravi dressed the Indian team so well. Virat Kohli has been batting brilliantly since Rohit Sharma took over the captaincy. After winning the Asia Cup, the confidence of the Indian team increased manifold. 2023 World Cup India performed brilliantly. But unfortunately in the final match India could not bat very well against Australia. Rohit Sharma's team could not win the final match due to batting failure. As the 2023 World Cup ends, the Indian Cricket Board has announced the squad for the 5-T20I series against Australia, led by Surya Kumar Yadav. Indian young players are batting and bowling very well. They have already secured the series by winning three T20 matches. By winning this series, the Indian team will be able to forget the pain of not being champions in the final.

India is making changes in team and giving the chance to the new players which is good thing. Like you make a touch to T20I series. They are doing to their best to make a good team and learning from mistakes.
And I think that was the bad luck of Indian team in the final match. They tried really well but Unfortunately they did not. The luck was in the favor of Australian team.
Well, they are trying to their best to make a good team.

And you talked about Glenn Maxwell. He is the legend when he remained on the pitch he pulled the victory for his team. Like we can see in the case of Afghanistan and Australia's match. That was a great match. And then we can see in the T20I match. That was also an amazing match.
By the way that was a sad moment when the India lost the final match.

Remember Ambati Rayudu? I think if India had given him enough chances he could have performed really well for his country. I don't want any good player like him to go unnoticed and the way India is approaching things right now, it looks like that is more unlikely to happen.
Indian fans always say that, but that is what bound to happen when we have 1.5 billion and only 11 players can represent the national side, we can also add Sanju Samson in that list. But finally he got a spot in this series, hopefully he will get a chance to play.

Ambati Rayudu or Sanju Samson, when they have been asked about this their response has been always like they achieved more than they expected in the cricket career that shows how many talents are going unnoticed in the domestic level itself.

Thanks to the IPL which became motivational factor for the talents and get to play for a franchise and if they can shine there then possibility to take down a chance from there is less for selection committee.

Sanju Samson is a good batsmen from their side recently I have seen its performance which was quite good in the previous session of the IPL. While wee see the IPL there are more players that came up in the front. But we can see the more players which like cricket would be in the side of these IPL players which can't only play but they can show us the real cricket for which we they are already been famous for. Even the cricketers we have seen in the PSL are also good but when there came the IPL we would think of big players on the screen.

Cricket has become a batsmen's game now. Boundaries have become shorter and new rules for powerplay restrictions and noball has out the bowlers at a disadvantage. When a team scores 400 batting first and then goes on to lose that match, you know how biased this sport has become. And it's not like New Zealand is a weak bowling side. They had exceptional bowlers such as Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner in their squad. I am not sure whether this is the way for cricket to move forward. I would rather prefer some sort of equilibrium between the batsmen and the bowlers.
Recently india announced their ODI squads for South Africa tour KL Rahul lead the indian team and sanju samson wicket keeper. India changed their most of players who played world cup 2023. Virat kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Muhammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Muhammad Siraj not included in ODI squad. I think Fast bowlers are big challenge for team India becoz their senior bowlers are not playing. Their main spinners Axar patel, Chahal and kuldeep are in the squad. Their batters are Ruturaj gaikwad, Rinku singh, shreyas iyer, Tilak virma, Rajat Patidar and Sudharsan. lets see this new squad could won series in Africa

I would use the word rested instead of replaced because these players have been in action for the past few months and they need ample time to recover from the stress and everyone brought back in for the test matches that is where the real game begins.

ODI squad looks good especially Rinku has been given chance if I am not wrong, and hopefully he will seal a spot in the team if he does what he is doing in the Indian pitches on SA pitches too.

It is actually good to see that India is taking the health of players seriously, and giving the players rest who are performing consistently for a long time. And this will also create opportunities for other players to show what they are capable of. India has a big pool of talent. A lot of players can go unnoticed even after performing really well.

Remember Ambati Rayudu? I think if India had given him enough chances he could have performed really well for his country. I don't want any good player like him to go unnoticed and the way India is approaching things right now, it looks like that is more unlikely to happen.

Cricket is a game where having a time restriction is not good at all. Cause if you restrict the fielding team with time the bowlers are not going to be able to perform well. Because a bowler needs a little bit of time to get ready for the next ball. Especially if he is a fast bowler. Nowadays, I have seen some bowlers, even run back to his mark as soon as he balls his ball. That is definitely not good. But with everything, getting faster and faster, and ICC giving every benefit to the batsmen, this was definitely going to happen. That is also a reason why many teams want to have three spinners in the team. They can move on with the overs quickly. There was a time when the top teams had four fast bowlers in the team. Those days are now past.

I am not sure what can be done for the time restriction. ICC introduced the rule, as the media rights holders were complaining about matches getting delayed and overshooting the allocated timeframe. And obviously when the duration is being considered, the pace bowlers are going to get more when compared to the spinners. And this means that when it comes to selection, the spin bowlers are sometimes selected ahead of pacers, just because they will help the captain to finish overs within the allocated time.

I think the problem could easily have been fixed. Remember there are a lot of sponsors for football and a lot of companies are also dying to be the sponsors of big clubs. But if you think about it, football is really not that good of a sport to be the sponsor. Because in theory, football does not have any break. They only have one break of 10 minutes. Other than that it is straight match time throughout the whole 90 minutes. And in cricket, you can have a commercial break after every six balls. so should definitely be more profitable for companies. But the problem is football is played by almost all the countries in the world professionally. And cricket is honestly played by 10 to 12 teams. The other teams are just made out of India and Pakistan players. so if ICC did not have such a problem with promoting cricket to the whole world, I think they wouldn't have been under so much pressure on finishing the match in time.

I believe selectors are checking their bench power into this series which is good and now as they have huge pool with good bowlers and all-rounders giving rest to their few main players is also good idea because with these things can go in positive way and youngsters can also take good experience.

These all new batters are doing good job so they deserve chance into this series for the future most chances now after T20i World cup we will have good changes in white-ball format team for the India because now it's good time for looking into future and having all youngsters into their pool as well which will increase their quality and performance they can give tough challenge to South Africa which is having another disappointing end of their campaign into ODI World Cup.

You can add Umran Malik in that list because he can clock 155 consistently but not accurate as the legendary names mentioned but we also need to accept the fact the cricket is becoming batting friendly so we may not see such kind of bowling ever again in the history books.

But am I the only one who enjoys the solid defence from Rahul Dravid when balls bowled at him clocking 150kmph? Cheesy

I mentioned only those who are regular in international cricket. Umran Malik is quick, but then he is not even a regular for his IPL side. Anyway, nowadays very few few of the fast bowlers even try to bowl as quick as they can. The focus is on control, so that the economy rate remains good. Those who didn't did that got replaced, such as Dale Steyn. Another factor that has impacted the fact bowlers is the heavy penalties that are being imposed for slow over rate. Most of the pacers nowadays have shorter run-up, in order to save time.

Cricket has bees so fast now, as we can only see show from the batsmen side, but in the past their were bowlers who bowl like a speed of 150kph and we have seen them they have long hairs and when they entered the ground mostly the batters on the ground will be frightened as we can saw that Shoaib Akhter from Pakistan's Team. Not only he there were too many these days, we have also seen Bret Lee when he came to bowling mostly the batsmen will also be in the pressure position. Also Dale Steyn was one of the best bowlers of his era.

But now  we didn't see the charm in the bowlers and we can't see those bowlers who have some long hairs and have some stamina to bowl like what they have to do in the past against different teams. Now we can only see sixes everywhere and runs everywhere.

There are a few bowlers who can clock 150 kmph nowadays. Mark Wood, Mitchell Starc, Jasprit Bumrah, Adam Milne, Lockie Ferguson and Anrich Nortje are a few examples. But Lee and Akhtar during those days went up to 155-160 kmph. And they had better skills and wicket taking abilities when compared to the current generation of fast bowlers. Also, the focus has shifted to T20 cricket from test cricket. That means that the bowlers try to be as economical as possible and they are not willing to risk too much to take the wickets.

Akhtar, at his peak was almost unplayable. I still remember his first test match against India. That was played at the Eden Gardens in 1999. In the first innings, Akhtar ended up with 4 wickets, including those of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. All of them got clean bowled and one of the Indian batsmen told media that it was very difficult to even see the ball when he is bowling. He picked another 4 wickets in the second innings (Rahul Dravid, Nayan Mongia, Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad) to give Pakistan a rare test victory against India in that country.

Shoaib Akhtar was definitely one of the best bowler of his era. But the Team Pakistan didn't support him and the PCB didn't even support him in his last matches that he played in the World Cup. The World Cup that was played I think in 2011 . That was his last one in which he should be supported on the both side even from the team it has and from the PCB. But he was so sad when he was taking retirement from the cricket. Even he was the greatest pacer against the top batsmen. When he mostly came to bowl all the batsmen will be so scary.

Being a Pakistani we really miss Shoaib Akhtar. He was a good bowler. I remember that match in which he bowled and the batsman was Sourav Ganguly and Shoaib Akhtar Broke the Ribs of him.
Broke his ribs? Are you actually making fun of a cricketer getting hurt badly by another cricketer? If you are, you are messed up in the head. If not, I guess I misunderstood what you wrote.

Also, Akhtar is a legendary bowler for sure, but he did get destroyed by batsmen like Tendulkar etc now and then.

I agree with you that cricket has changed Nowadays. At present the focus is more on the batsmen and their ability to hit sixes and score runs. In the past we have bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar Brett Lee and Dale Steyn who were not only fast bowlers but also have a aggressive bowling style. When they on the pitch they mostly pressurized the batsman.

By the way we saw in the world cup now the 300 runs are nothing but in the past 300 runs was a big figure. And now 350 to 400 runs target is mostly common.
