Not only he there were too many these days, we have also seen Bret Lee when he came to bowling mostly the batsmen will also be in the pressure position. Also Dale Steyn was one of the best bowlers of his era.

But now we didn't see the charm in the bowlers and we can't see those bowlers who have some long hairs and have some stamina to bowl like what they have to do in the past against different teams. Now we can only see sixes everywhere and runs everywhere.

Yes you are right there was a time when players did a hard performance and reached only 200 around the target but at that time all the teams had the best bowlers who took many wickets and gave the lowest score to them, like Pakistan had Shuaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, before them, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Srilanka had Malinga and in the same way other teams had also their best players. But now the cricket world is ruled by the batsman they give the highest score and also chase a huge target. A live example in the recent World Cup where Maxwell did 202 runs by himself while he was injured just imagine how a person can do such a big score with an injury. Now cricket is going towards more advanced and in the coming time, I think there will be more speed in the matches and maybe the batsman can cross the 500 targets.

I know a lot of people are going to talk trash about me and my opinion, but I honestly think that a big reason why cricket has moved to a certain demographic like this is because of India. Honestly, before India had so much power over the ICC, the rules and everything seemed to actually be in a pretty balanced state. That is also a reason why a lot of great bowlers were being produced by a lot of countries. But now there is no respect for any bowler in this game. Now it is about who is less bad in bowling. And what I am going to say next is not aimed towards India. Because people in general also like to see fours and sixes. Probably that is also a reason why ICC has made so many decisions to actually favour the batsmen in the game.

@Patrol69 you’re talking about the era before T20 came and disrupted everything because 250 - 280 runs was a perfect score for many teams and often we would get results in the last over which was fun to watch. Lastly I’m not sure how the ODI format will evolve because in its current state it’s getting boring to watch it and ICC needs to innovate to make it exciting to watch.

I think as cricket is progressing and cricket is getting faster and faster cricket is becoming more difficult for bowlers. Now, whether it is T20 cricket or ODI cricket, the batsmen make such runs that the bowler does not understand where to throw the ball. Ishan Kishan is also there, but he didn't played too many matches during the ODI World Cup. But you are right. Surya and Ishan are the only Indian players who were part of both the squads, while there are at least half a dozen such players in Australia. And this might have contributed to their fatigue (even before the world cup, Australia played an ODI series against India). Anyway, they came back strongly during the third T20I match. Maxwell rescued them from an almost assured defeat. Now Australia still has a chance to win this series.

Yes it was a very happy day for the Australian team and a bad day for the Indian team. Because Australia was won the ICC world cup and India lose the match.
