If New Zealand had any chances of winning this match, that vanished as soon as India won the toss and chose to bat first. Now I would consider it as an achievement for New Zealand, if they manage to keep India under a total of 400. At this point, it looks unlikely as Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are handing the Kiwi spinners (Mitchell Santner, Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips) with a lot of ease. Also, the New Zealand players seems to be struggling against the high humidity levels and temperature that is prevalent at Wankhede at this point.
Edit: Shubman Gill has retired hurt. Shreyas Iyer has come to bat now.
@Sithara007 while Rohit started very well but I had a feeling that he would lose his wicket soon and post that I thought team India would collapse but surprisingly they have played really well so far and definitely can score 400+ runs. Lastly while on paper it looks like team India should now easily win this game but chasing up to 400 run’s on this ground is not that difficult hence if New Zealand gets few partnerships going then team India will come under pressure.
