I don't think Afghanistan made the wrong decision to bat first, the Delhi pitch is a good batting pitch. What I am curious to see is whether they can give a good target to India. They have already lost two wickets, Gurbaz got out because of a clever catch taken by Thakur. The current run rate is below 5 which is bad on a batting track. They need to up their tempo otherwise they won't be able to get a decent score on the scoreboard. I believe anything above 280 by Afghanistan will not be that easy to chase for the Indian batters.

At first they lost 3 wickets quickly, but now Afghanistan is playing very well. At the end of 40 overs, the team has collected 211 runs. The team's run rate is now 5.27. I would say it has a good enough run rate. Afghanistan squad has several hard hitting batsmen. I guess they will be able to score at least 80 runs in the last 10 overs. A target like 290-300 is more likely to deliver.

Today's bowling of Bumrah, Yadav and Jadeja is very controlled. But other bowlers are giving plenty of runs. The pitch is quite spin friendly. It will be difficult for India to deal with Afghanistan's spin bowlers today.

It's really hard to predict with this team whether they can score big or not. Because they are the kind of team that can break down at any time, some one think that they will be able to score 250 runs but it may be difficult for them to score even 200 runs they are totally unpredictable. It is difficult to trust the team. So far they have managed to score 118 runs so today's match has the potential to turn into a big score as they still lost only 3 wickets. If they can somehow give a target of more than 350 runs then Afghanistan can be expected to win the match. We will be able to see a lot of drama before we get to that position so it will be very difficult to expect a win even though Afghanistan are in a good position at the moment.

LOL. after their heavy defeat against New Zealand, now they have something to cheer about. The main issue with England is that they don't have a quality spinner in their team. Adil Rashid is not up to a level, where he can create difficulty to world class batsmen. And without a good spinner, they can't win matches on Indian pitches. Anyway, since they won against Bangladesh, now they have the momentum with them. So we can expect them to perform well in the remaining matches. For them, the next match is going to be against Afghanistan.

Bangladesh lost to England thanks to a devastating innings by Dawid Malan. Had they dismissed the opener early on I believe England would have been restricted to 320. Despite a good performance yesterday, luck favored England, with several balls in the air from the start and chances of being caught but not being caught and Bangladesh missing half chances for several run outs. If they could have kept England between 300 and 320 runs, then Bangladesh would have done well in this match.
You may say how good it is to have a target of 300 to 320 runs where Bangladesh could not score 250 runs, when the target was less then their pressure was less so that they could bat with a cool head which Bangladesh batsmen did not get. Another thing is that Bangladesh lost four early wickets which set them back a lot in the game.

The team structure of the Bangladesh team is basically loneliness. Because Bangladesh could not play the entire match on its own this season is the most painful. Because they often perform poorly against big teams, but they are happy to win against normal teams. The players of Bangladesh have absolutely no patience because they have been losing wickets since the beginning of the game. I didn't like the team formation at all due to which Bangladesh got this result. Because leaving out the experienced players and adding new players to the national team squad is the biggest mistake.

I agree with you, Bangladesh cricket team has suffered a massive collapse due to the addition of new players by removing the skilled old players of the Bangladesh team. As good a performance as can be expected from an accomplished old player. That performance is never expected from a new player. Cricket pundits of Bangladesh team think that new players can bring better success than an old player. The pundits of Bangladesh cricket team never want to accept the fact that the Bangladesh cricket team is going towards decline due to the exclusion of old skilled players. Afghanistan's innings depends a lot on the opening partnership. If the opening pair can do well then they can bat till 50 but if the opening pair is out early then it is not possible for them to bat 50 overs. Afghanistan will not be able to survive against India for long with India's bowling lineup. India is undoubtedly going to win this match. If India win the toss in this match then they will choose to field first. Yes, you are write if they can't control them in the first 10 overs they would never win this match but seems like they were ready even for the 400 target just look to them winning the match by 6 wickets and 10 balls likely 2 overs before they over the match. If baber azam had not out through the catch they would have won that match very early but somehow the lost their captain's wicket they didn't panic and showed the best performance in which the two players Rizwan and Abdullah a massive scored 131 and 113 which shows that they were ready for this before coming to the ground. There was no mistake in Bangladesh's decision but their mistake was in their performance. Most of the matches that have been played in Dharamsala so far have been won by batting in the second innings and the average score per innings at Dharamsala is around 230 to 240 where England have scored 360 plus runs which is why Bangladesh have not been successful in chasing such a big margin.

In the first 8 matches in the World Cup tournament, most of the matches were won by all the teams batting in the second innings. Basically, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan wanted to take this opportunity. Had Bangladesh bowled in a controlled manner early on and if they had not lost four early wickets in the second innings, this match could have been much closer.
