Captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first. Bangladesh's batting disaster is not leaving behind. Bangladesh has lost 5 matches earlier due to complete batting disaster, if there is such a batting disaster with Pakistan today then undoubtedly Bangladesh will lose today's match. with PakistanToday, the Tigers will definitely try to change their position by winning today's match. In the beginning, Shahensha Afridi attacked Bangladesh's batting. Shahensha Afridi bowled three overs in which he gave two runs and took two wickets. Bangladesh collected 10 runs for 2 wickets. If the next batsmen of Bangladesh do not bat with responsibility then Bangladesh will be all out for 100 runs. So of course we expect from Bangladesh team that Bangladesh can play 50 overs today.
Cricket in Bangladesh is another level of fun, three wickets of Bangladesh fell before the start of the game, it means that we as supporters of Bangladesh cannot guarantee whether Bangladesh will be able to score 100 runs today. Cricket is in the blood of Bangladesh, so as a supporter of Bangladesh, I will support Bangladesh no matter how much I suffer. Even if the Bangladesh team is not playing well now, it is the only goal of the Bangladesh team to learn from this World Cup and play well in the next World Cup.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. Bangladesh has faced a tough run with five consecutive losses and Pakistan four consecutive losses. Bangladesh looking to turn the tide. Some believe a change in the batting order is needed, with experienced players like Shakib-ul-hassan, Musfiq raheem, and Mushfiqur leading the charge. Pakistan batting has been inconsistent, and changes are necessary. Three changes in Pakistan's playing XI. Fakhar Zaman, Agha Salman and Usama Mir have replaced Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammed Nawaz and Shadab Khan. Pakistan have restrict Bangladesh under 250 runs to win the match.

The point table looks way different than I had imagined before the World Cup kicked in.

I was hoping Poms would easily rush into semis and Pakistan to be in some sort of competition but here they are. One is topping the table from the bottom and in survival mode because of the Champions Trophy qualification. Another outfit is not doing good as well and seems to be interested only in drama due to an internal rifts and controversy.

Why the Poms do so poorly in India, while the Australians and to some extent the Kiwis don't face such issues? There can be an argument that some of the players are injured (such as Archer) and a few others are out of form (Stokes, Root.etc). But then they are always known as a well balanced side. What if Archer is not there, they have Wood and Woakes? And Willey is picking up wickets. But seriously I don't know what is going on with their batsmen. The same batsmen who scored tons of runs a few months back during the IPL are performing in a pathetic manner now.
Archer missing out the tournament wasn't the case as his exclusion was clear from the start. Maybe they completely failed to adjust with conditions despite having more than enough exposure in the IPL.

Also, their opponents (Ind, SA, NZ) are in prime form and smaller teams like Afg and SL simply outplayed the Poms. Collectively lack of form/confidence, plus, the opposition playing good cricket is the main reason, similar to pre 2015 as far as English cricket is concerned.

Despite Afghans beating SA team in early game, I don't think they have got much chances for the semis. From the looks of it we have qualifiers decided, and those are India, Australia, SA and NZ — although Australia played really poor cricket before but they have came back really well.

If somehow, Afghanistan manages in semi it'll be treat for them enough, I already see their videos on Twitter celebrating wins, imagine the celebration of the match that gets them into semis  Cheesy

There are still a lot of permutations and combinations. Today we have the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match. If Pakistan wins this one, then they may replace Afghanistan at the no.5 position (Pakistan is having a better run rate). But then, Afghanistan in their next match will be facing a weak Netherlands. If they win, then they will be left with 8 points. And Australia will have a tough match against England and they need to win that one. Things are getting heated up at the moment, and apart from India none of the other teams have guaranteed their semi-final slots.
Still there is no confirmation which teams will qualify for the semifinals except India. Because India is on top and remain on top and will definitely qualify for the semifinal. From now all teams have 3 3 matches left. So there is a big (?) That who will qualify for the semifinal. If SA will win from NZ so SA will also remain in semifinals teams list. By the way no one can say anything at this time.
But looking at the condition of play in the field and the points table, it looks like we can get New Zealand and South Africa in the semi final match. But this can change anytime because Australia has come out of a very bad position. If they do well in a few more matches and either of the mentioned two teams go back from their streak then surely there will be a change. I want to keep New Zealand ahead in this tournament. The way New Zealand batted against Australia in the last match chasing 388 runs, if they had a few more balls they could have beaten Australia. They have very strong batting line-up in this tournament. However, field calculations may change at any time.

Today is the 31st match of ICC World Cup Bangladesh vs Pakistan. After losing 5 matches in a row, Bangladesh will try to play well today to win. I think Bangladesh batting line should be changed. Experienced players should be allowed to bat first. I think Shakib, Musfiq, and Mahmudullah should be allowed to bat first. Especially Mahmudullah should be given the opportunity to bat at number 2 or 3 position. We have seen that in every match Nazmul Hossain Shant could not do well, his batting position needs to be changed. Also, although Bangladesh's opening batting did well in one match, it could not do well in any other match. Bangladesh could not score 230 runs against Netherlands, we feel very ashamed as a support of Bangladesh. The bowling line of Bangladesh is somewhat good anyway, but the batting line is very bad. However, Bangladesh must win these 3 matches to play the Champions Trophy. Today Bangladesh's opponent is Pakistan, today Bangladesh's batting line should be improved. According to the current performance of Bangladesh, I do not see the possibility of victory for Bangladesh. Pakistan has more chances to win the match today. Let's see if Bangladesh can perform well in today's match.

IMO, it is 99% confirmed that India, South Africa and New Zealand will qualify for the semi-finals. In case of Australia, I'm around 90% sure. But at least theoretically, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan also can qualify for the semi-finals if all the remaining matches go in their favor. 6 rounds of group phase games are done and we are left with just 3 rounds now. I hope that we will have more clarity once the 7th round is complete. If Australia wins against England, then they are almost assured of a spot in the semi-finals.

A target of 242 on this pitch was not enough to win. The pitch was completely batting friendly. Even then Sri Lankan batsmen could not do well. Sri Lanka's batting was very slow from the beginning of the innings. Sri Lanka would have been able to win if they had given a target of more than 300. 241 runs is a very low collection on this pitch. However, Afghanistan won the match as expected. Afghanistan batsmen have batted very responsibly. Except Rahmanullah Gurbaz, every batsman in the top order has been able to perform well. Azmatullah Omarzai managed to play an excellent innings of 73 runs off just 63 balls. Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi also batted very well.
Afghanistan team played this match without any pressure. All the players were looking easy and played decently. When Rahmanullah Gurbaz who got out in the first 4 balls with 0 runs. This was a pressuring moment for Afghanistan but Ibrahim Zardan and Rahmat Shah made 73 runs partnership. They both tried well to stand the team and they got success. After that Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai played well and atlast Afghanistan won the match.
Afghanistan beat First England, then Pakistan and now they beat Sri Lanka. Afghanistan have beaten 3 former ODI World  Champions in this World Cup. This is a very special team. Their semi-final dream is alive. In a thrilling cricket showdown, Afghanistan exhibited their prowess, clinching a commanding seven-wicket win against Sri Lanka. The brilliance of Afghanistan's bowlers, spearheaded by Fazalhaq Farooqi impressive 4 for 34, restricted Sri Lanka to a modest 241. After restricted Srilanka to 241, Afghanistan chase down the target easily.

This year's World Cup is mainly for India, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Afghanistan, because these teams are performing quite well in this year's World Cup, on the other hand, countries like Bangladesh, England, Pakistan and Sri Lanka seem to be in disarray. England and Bangladesh are performing so badly that England and Bangladesh could not pick up a win except for one match. However, there is a doubt whether Bangladesh will have any qualification to play in the Champions League despite the defeat in this year's World Cup. If Bangladesh is not among the top 8 teams in the ICC ODI rankings, Bangladesh will not have any qualification to play in the Champions League.

Rahmat Shah led Afghanistan's innings well until Rajitha managed to take his wicket, giving Sri Lanka a crucial breakthrough. Rahmat Shah departed after scoring his second consecutive World Cup fifty. With only three wickets down for Afghanistan, they are still in the game. After a strong bowling performance, their batsmen are doing a good job. Let's hope they can continue this batting form and reach the target.
Rehmat Shah has been dismissed, but he has already done huge damage from his side and hence his dismissal will not favour anything for sirilankan in this match. If we deeply analyse Afghanistan team their player really improving their self day by day in this world cup and mostly their opener Carry the inning at their top, but today things were not completely in their favour as gurbaz departure really early but just like Ravindra a lower middle order batter does a significant contribution for his team same things is repeated by afghan lower middle all-rounder omarzai by adding a crucial contribution of 73 with the help of 3 sixes and 6 boundaries.

I will be happy if the final match between South Africa vs India is held. These two teams are in very good form. Especially their batting order is very strong. Therefore, if the final of these two teams is held, the match is likely to be more competitive.
India's bowling order is superior in this case which would give them an edge in such an encounter though it would still be competitive indeed.
Currently, situation is very interesting because Australian fight back into this event with four wins is impressive, and now we have good nail-biting fight for the top ranks specially Afghanistan entry is amazing they are doing good job after beating three big teams and New Zealand collapse is also not good because most chances they are going to lose against spirited South Africa as well which will bring them to the fourth spot even still they are favorite for the top four, but things are going not good.

Australia is having good performance in last few matches even encounter against New Zealand was impressive but their fightback and confidence level is high with these wins which can bring them to the third spot as well but for the first spot look like we can go for the South Africa which is learning their lessons after lost against the Netherlands, but Australian needs to have some improvement if they want to keep things at their best.

Afghanistan team won by 7 wickets against Sri Lanka in today's match. In today's match, the Sri Lankan team batted first and set a target of 242 runs to the Afghanistan team. I think the target of 242 runs was not enough to prevent the Afghanistan team from winning. If the Sri Lankan team could score 300+ runs in this match today, they would have a chance to win against Afghanistan. Sri Lankan team has done worse in both batting and bowling in this match and Sri Lankan team players have done worse in bowling than batting. The players of the opposing Afghanistan team played very well. Afghanistan team players have performed well especially in terms of batting. Afghanistan team player Rahmanullah Gurbaz could not bat well but Ibrahim Jordan, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Azmatullah played very well. Ibrahim Jordan 39 from 57 balls, Rahmat 62 from 74 balls, run out. And Hashmatullah Shahidi remained unbeaten with 58 off 74 balls and Azmatullah 73 off 63 balls. In fact, Afghanistan deserved to win today's match. Congratulations to the Afghanistan team for giving a beautiful match

Afghanistan is really at its best, with the match-winning players they have now, and all the players of Afghanistan are playing cricket with their hearts and with their full energy, when we see them on the ground we can see their hard work on their faces that at which stage they were before and now they are playing massive cricket and represent their country, this is also a perfect example of the hard work we have seen from the Afghanistan Cricket Team.

Although Sri Lanka is not playing because their bowling was weak today and Afghanistan has easily reached the target. We can still expect more better cricket from the Team of Afghanistan. Best wishes to all the teams in the top 4 who are qualifying and the teams which are below the top 4 are doing their best to make a place in the top 4.

Yeh it's true that they are more confidence after chasing 280 around against paksitan without any batting struggle or any kind of trouble, while if we have a look at paksitan previous match where south Africa really struggle to chase 270 so you can imagine how well they improved thier play after few bad setback. Currently sirilankan team were looking in bad situation because they lose five of thier wickets by scoring just 168 in 37 overs which mean they will maximum score 60 to 80 runs more in reaming overs so again Afghanistan will get same target as same as against paksitan where they chased it easily so in my mind if sirilankan bowling factory able to show some magic they possibly they will be in the game otherwise if zadran and gurbaz make atleast 100 runs partnership then things will become more worse for sirilanka.
At this time when I am writing this post the Afghan team needs 11 runs on 39 balls and after completing this post they will win this match. They have proven themselves again, last time they beat Pakistan team, and this time they beat Sri Lanka, which both are strong. This show that they are improving, they are making every part of the team stronger, their fielding, their batsman, and bowlers are performing very well in this two matches. Gurbaz in this match did not perform and dropped his wicket on zero runs while the rest of the players made a good run. The three players without Gurbaz and the person doing bating is outstanding making the match comfortable and relax. In the bowlers, Faroqi got 4 wickets in this match just imagine. I think they won the match so congratulations to the Afghan team supporters.
A proud able moment for the Afghanistan as they beat three former world champions in one event which is impressive from them now they have next game against the Netherlands which is also looking into their favor with their current form and consistency I am feeling sad for their lost against Bangladesh because if they have won in this match then surely things could be interesting for their chances into last four but now it is looking no easy, but they are able to stay into top seven which could be another amazing stuff currently they are at the fifth spot ahead of Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka were not good at batting and after having just 241 runs on board their bowling were also not good which give them any chance for the win all top order batsmen done things which responsibly which is impressive here we need to work from the English coach Jonathan Trot which done good job in last few months and bring this team at this level.
