Well, Pakistan started this match nervously but they ended up with a very strong win by a big margin. This may be an eye opener for other teams in the tournament and they can't take the home team lightly.

But most of the matches will be played in Srilanka (except 4) and hence the home ground will be of Srilanka and we will see how the players will bat there on that pitch.

I am just going to be honest and not going to sugarcoat things at all. Nepal did not perform well. They had to show a better performance in the second innings to at least stay in the match. You cannot expect a team to win when eight players fail to score even 10+ runs. But to be honest, this type of result was almost expected by everyone. I don’t think anyone was actually thinking that Nepal was going to win the opening match of the Asia cup against Pakistan when Pakistan is playing in their home ground. Pakistan definitely got a big win in this match. But the main forecast for Pakistan is definitely going to be the next match where they will play against India. And we all know that match is going to be the biggest match of this tournament (if they don’t face each other again)

As now Nepal have collected only 82 runs with the loss of 5 wickets they may not reach their target today. The runs given by Pakistan may not go so far Nepal may lose all the wickets of Nepal within half a run and they will lose the match.

Oh wow, Nepal was not able to get even close to the target. Surprise surprise! I think we all know that Nepal is never going to get close to the target anyway. but I think we could probably say that we expected them to get at least a little bigger score. Eight players of Nepal ended their innings on a single digit score. That is just not good enough. Pakistan did definitely get a great win in their home ground in the starting match of the tournament.

But the next match is going to be a protest for Pakistan. They will be playing against India. And the match is not going to be in their home ground as well. So Pakistan better get ready for that match.

This wasn't a big deal. You know Pakistani team is at the top in the ODI ICC ranking and Nepali team don't have experience as the Pakistani team has. So I think there is no comparison between these two teams. And there are some big matches and Pakistan will play with them and than we will see that what the Pakistan will do?

Captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat against Nepal in the opening match of the Asia Cup, but two openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-Ul-Haq did not get off to a good start. Other than Sandeep Lamichhane, I don't think that anyone in the Nepal team has experience with top-tier franchise T20 leagues. Sompal represented the Winnipeg Hawks for a few matches during Global T20 in Canada. But he has been a regular fixture of the Nepal team for the last 5-6 years. Opens the bowling and bats down the order. I am still not sure whether they will get to 150. After 20 overs, they are at 88/5. A second spell for either Shaheen Shah Afridi or Haris Rauf should wrap up the Nepal innings without much effort.

The first match of the Asia Cup between Pakistan and Nepal. After winning the toss Pakistan set a huge target of 343 runs in loss of 6 Wickets in 50 Overs. What a batting performance by Pakistani Team Openers struggling to score and out in just 25 runs in 6.1 overs but After Babar Azam came and scored 151 runs a beautiful inning with 14 fours and 4 sixs. Ifthkar Ahamd also scored a median century in just 67 balls. He scored 109 runs unbeaten at just 71 balls and reached Pakistan total of 342 runs. Nepal has very poor bowling and fielding performance. While chasing down Nepal has current score is 84 runs in a loss of 5 wickets in just 18 Overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rouf both picked up 2, 2 wickets and Naseem Shah picked up 1 wicket. Pakistan will easily win this match by huge runs.

I thought Pakistan was under a lot of pressure from batting point of view. But later Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed were the main tools of Pakistan team today. But I can see there is no player in Nepal team who can sustain the match. The Nepal team is facing more pressure as time passes as the fall of four wickets threatens the Nepal team. I can say because the bowling line of Pakistan team is stronger than the bowling line of Nepal team due to which the game is more tough. If the Pakistan team has to win then they must have a good bowling performance today to take the team to the top of the victory. In such a situation, the Nepal team has faced a lot of pressure by losing wickets.

Nepal batted at a target of 243 runs and collected 73 runs after losing 3 wickets in 14 overs. Nepal's opening batsmen both performed poorly, Aasif Sheikh was dismissed for 5 runs from 5 balls, Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed for 8 runs from 4 balls. Rohit Paudel comes to bat for one down, he is out in 1 ball. So far Naseem Shah has taken 1 wicket, Shaheen Afridi has bowled brilliantly and taken 2 wickets. Pakistan will easily win today. But expect a good game from Nepal.

You have to agree Pakistan bowling line-up is one of the best bowling attacks in the world today. So I don't think Nepal's inexperienced batsmen will be able to score 150 runs against such experienced bowlers. However i can see Nepal is batting very well now, Nepal lost three wickets for just 14 runs, and at the end of 14 overs, Nepal collected 73 runs. Another thing is that Aarif Sheikh and Sompal are batting very well now, probably Nepal will be able to collect around 200 runs. However I expected to see a completely one-sided match, and so it is. Both batsmen and bowlers of Pakistan are playing very well.
