England are 246 all out!
During this match, David Willey played a brave innings that helped England to reach a reasonable target. Today, he's the man who made the difference; England was cruising before he entered the picture. It is indeed a good total for England. It would take some effort on the part of India. As Kohli has a great chance to shine, I'm hoping it will be a great contest.

I don't think England will be able to collect as much as 246. They lost 5 top-order batsmen by 102 runs. I thought they would lose all their wickets before 150 like in the first match. But I'm totally surprised to see England's performance, they scored 246 runs. I guess England will win this match. Let's see what happens. However, the Indian team has a lot of talented players.

If South Africa gets direct qualification which team plays the qualifier. As of now we've got 8 teams for direct qualification. India being the host it directly enters. Other teams under the seven are England, Bangladesh, Afghanistan Pakistan, New Zealand, West Indies and Australia. Every team looks like they're in a strong position.

It looks as if Sri Lanka may not make it. The big surprise is that of Afghanistan. They are in a very comfortable position, with almost guaranteed qualification. That means that out of the 9 tier-1 test nations, one more nation (apart from Sri Lanka) may fail to qualify. And it looks as if that honor may go to either West Indies or South Africa. West Indies recently lost an ODI series to Ireland, while South Africa forfeited 3-match series against Australia. All the other tier-1 test nations are in a comfortable position.

Bangladesh played very badly in T20 but did very well in ODI. Bangladesh is very perfect for playing ODIs.I don't think they understand the situation on the field well in T20.We got proof of that in the ODI match.

It seems to me that Bangladesh tends to give a lot more importance to the ODI format than to the test and T20 formats. So, the performance of Bangladesh is also better in the ODI format, compared to any other format.

But, I really think that ability should think about improving in the shorter formats of cricket. The formats will be getting shorter day by day, because that is what the audience wants to see, a good amount of action in a limited amount of time.

England vs India - 2nd ODI
Since India are in form, their winning chance is much higher then England. In today's match, they have decided to bowl after winning the toss, in which case they will do well in chasing. If England want to do well, they have to be given big targets, otherwise it will be more difficult for them to win. Current run rate is 5.45(40 run) without losing any wicket. This is really a good start for England.
England had a good start, but there is wicket fall at some time interval. First wicket fell at 41 runs. Further Chahal have taken two wickets and Mohammad Shami have bowled out Butler. Now England is in a critical situation as the team isn't able to create partnership. At the end of 19 overs England have managed to score 87 runs losing 4 wickets. Now Livingstone and Stokes in the crease.

They are now 5 wickets down and it seems that the England team is collapsing again. There are still 24 overs remaining in the innings and i am afraid that England may not be able to play all the overs and may be all out before the 50 overs mark.

Yuzvendra Chahal took  3 wickets and he still have 4 more overs to bowl today.

if India manage to win the match today, they will win this ODI series too.

They stand at 11th position and losing 30 points due to this move. This could blowback if they fail to improve their standing, in such case they have to play qualifier for the 50 overs WC.

South Africa may still manage to secure direct qualification. If they lose the 30 points from the cancelled tour, then they may end up with 49 points from 16 matches. They just need another 3 wins from their remaining 8 matches. Fortunately for them, both Ireland and Sri Lanka have been pathetic in the Super League so far. So it won't take much effort to overtake them. BTW, did anyone noticed that Afghanistan is currently placed at no.3 on the Super League points table? They are assured of direct qualification to the 2023 World Cup.
This doesn't sounds that risky so i guess it's fair to say this is a calculated risk from the Proteas.

Nice to see Afghanistan at top 3 but i don't remember them playing with any top ranking teams. More surprising to me is that Bangladesh is also bossing the point table.

India : England

What is your prediction about India vs England's 2nd ODI, which will be held today? England lost all wickets for just 110 runs in the first match and India won the match without losing any wicket. England conceded a humiliating defeat. Will England's players continue to perform poorly? Or today we will see the England team in a disruptive form? But I am optimistic about England's performance today. My guess is England will win today.
From a big loss England will surely make a comeback. For now England will take advantage of the lord's ground. Over the last few matches England is making an agressive batting. The batting order is very solid, but things happened completely against them. This time England will surely fine tune themselves for a better performance. From the bowling side too it is a failure not taking a single wicket. Altogether we can see a double strong team and India on the other side will play in a relaxed way.
I used to think of England as a strong team.  But now I don't see them as a strong team.  If England and India play 5 matches, then it will be seen that England will lose 3 matches.  I think India is a much stronger team than England.

After having one of the worst results, suddenly change in performance and fortune amazing for Bangladesh and great for their fans because with these two wins smiles are back, and now they can feel proud.

Bangladesh's two-match ODI series win was a surprise. Because they could not win any match in the Test and T20 series. Couldn't even play well. No one could have imagined that they would make such a grand comeback in the ODI series. However, Bangladesh played very well in both the matches. Hopefully they will be able to continue this continuity in the last match and win as usual.
If Bangladesh tries, they can play well.  If they play a little better they will win this match on any given day.  I think Bangladesh will play much better in the next game and will they be the winner.  Best wishes for them.

I have seen the poor performance of the Bangladesh team in T20 and Test series. No player on the team has consistently performed well. But in the ODI format, I see another Bangladesh team. Bangladesh dominated and won both the ODI matches. Their performance in today's match was remarkable. They lost just 1 wicket and reached the target. I have not seen such a good performance of the Bangladesh team for a long time.

Even still many questions are looking for replies but surely a positive change can give some hopes alive which is good for any team suddenly look like West Indies is losing their touch and Bangladesh is having some big magic in their hands like we watch in Sri Lanka vs Australia in fourth day when all Aussies collapse like crap and give historical win to home side here all going in favor of visitors which is good signal.

West Indies v Bangladesh second ODI match.Congratulations to Bangladesh team for winning two ODI series in a row. After losing the Test and T20 series, they won two ODI series in a row. Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das won the match easily without any pressure. We can definitely say that Bangladesh team is perfect for ODI series

Bangladesh 112/1 (20.4)

West Indies 108/10 (35)

Bangladesh won by 9 wkts
West Indies batters are struggling to play the spin. Both in the first and now in the second ODI. Toss also played a crucial part in this win. Good comeback by Bangladesh after losing the Test and T20 now they have won the ODI series.
West Indies players need to weaken them with spin. But Bangladesh played very well. Bangladesh played more good than what was expected.

Nothing surprising tbh.

In a near future franchise cricket is going to dominate the bilateral cricket, except PIG-3 as they still generate enough revenue for each others from such bilateral series. We have recent example that Aus and India about to go for 5 test match series in BGT soon.

LOL... this is going to be a big mistake by CSA. Franchise cricket works for the big-3 teams due to their large market. But that is not the case with smaller boards such as South Africa. By trying to imitate the IPL, they will end up with huge losses (and that is exactly what happened with their first attempt, the Msanzi Super League). My advice for them is to realize that franchise cricket is not everyone's cup of tea. Already the franchise cricket domain is oversaturated and more leagues will only result in mounting losses.
Yeah that scenario is very much in play also their league is clashing with some cash rich UAE's league so this could possibly add another roadblock for the Proteas but at the same time they will earn more than enough in comparison to some random ODI bilateral series, let's see how it turns out next year. Although they didn't cancelled Test series.

Edit

They stand at 11th position and losing 30 points due to this move. This could blowback if they fail to improve their standing, in such case they have to play qualifier for the 50 overs WC.
