There are very rear chances of international cricket in AFGHANISTAN in decade or two. Afghanistan will continue to play its home series in other counties. Majority of there youngsters play cricket in Pakistan before getting selected in national side. Let's hope peace prevails in Afghanistan and we see quality cricket there.
A few players from Zimbabwe and Bangladesh have participated in the Afghan domestic T20 competition (Shpageeza Cricket League). And this is the closest Afghanistan has come to attracting foreign players to it's soil. But after the 2017 season, hardly any foreign player participated in this league. And given the current situation, I don't think that it will be possible for the next one decade at least. Afghanistan was emerging as a very strong team, but now their future looks very uncertain.
I was surprised to know that Shpageez Cricket league would take place this year despite Taliban taking over the country. This means domestic talent might still pop out through these leagues in place, but obviously, their exposure would be limited to Local players only you can't even expect that Zimbabweans would play considering the circumstances.

There were chances that after regime change ICC might cancel Afghanistan membership but that didn't happened luckily as new regime ensured that woman cricket will be allowed. Foreign players were comfortable under usa sponsored government in Afghanistan but now I don't think any player will dare to go there.
Obviously home tours for Afghanistan is a myth, even though India has given a few of their grounds to Afghanistan as their home grounds and I am sure UAE is always available as a venue for them just like Pakistan uses it.
