Security is far more important than any match or series. However, the strange thing is that how come they felt their is security threat just before the match ? They should have not come to pakistan if they were not comfortable playing here.
Also they now want to abandon the whole series without give explanation of who gave the news about the threat and all the details. I think there are many unanswered questions here.
The explanation will be New Zealand might have got some intelligence information that there will be a terror activity in Pakistan, if not why do you think they would cancel the tournament when the entire team is in Pakistan and their neighboring Afghanistan is in turmoil after radicals taken over power and it is their genuine concern that something bad is going to happen.

Earlier Sri Lankan cricket players were targeted and for them they show how escaped with injuries and no one lost their live. So if there is intelligence information about a terror attack they will pull their player.

It is well understood that Pakistan's security threat is one of the most frustrating aspects for its people. Pakistan had literally recovered from the inability to host home games when NZ postponed the series. There are many people who are not happy as they want NZ to respond in a clear way. Not sharing the threat and taking unilateral action is not the way the world works. Doesn't this response constitute a source of humiliation for Pakistan and disgusting?

This all is clearly indicating some very shit conspiracy because there is no threat or anything like this they are showing we are powerful, and we can do these things when we want BCCI is powerful board so ECB have nothing to do against them just taking some good money, but Pakistan is really critical for last 2 decades, so they are paying price for this all.

This is not the first time we are witnessing this. England called off the South African tour  and then Australia did the same.
Similarly New Zealand decided not to play in Pakistan and we might see that England also cancel the tour to Pakistan (England tour of Pakistan in doubt as ECB reassesses security arrangements).

I am sure sooner or later, ICC, BCCI and ECB will regret for all this manipulations when they will be left alone.

Looks like PakvsNZ tour is cancelled.

I don't know if all this is planned or who are behind this but one thing is for sure that there is no security threat in Pakistan.

You can't refuse to play the game with baseless argument unless you are afraid to lose.

Its a bad day for cricket. Shame on New Zealand Cricket board.

The below tweet by Sohaib Akhtar says it all...

@Umer bhai This all was preplanned because now ICC and Big3 heading for IPL they need more money and this series was not profitable for them. On other note we have many conspiracies against Pakistan after USA defeat in Afghanistan this was also big factor in this all.

^^^ New Zealand Cricket took the decision to postpone the series just few minutes before the first ODI was played, because they received some information from the NZ government that there is significant threat of a terror attack. The entire contingent is now preparing to leave the country. Big disappointment for the cricket fans in Pakistan, because the Kiwis were visiting that country after a gap of almost two decades. Babar Azam also put up a statement in the Twitter, saying that the pullout was not justified.

This is very bad news for Pakistan. Because no country is interested in going to Pakistan to play a series. After a long time, a big team like New Zealand is interested in playing with Pakistan. The government of Pakistan should tighten security very much. As a result, no untoward incident can happen. The Pakistani government may have been indifferent to this.

@pakhitheboss indeed Pakistan will have a strong advantage due to the home factor, and New Zealand will have to play their best game if they wish to win this game. Also I personally feel that Pakistan will defeat New Zealand easily, but is there anyone here that’s expecting the opposite if yes please share your reasons with us?.

Pakistan need to work hard for a win. New Zealand is right now one of the top teams in world cricket. But this time they have sent an inexperienced side, and they fared poorly recently in Bangladesh. For players like Colin de Grandhomme and Scott Kuggeleijn, this series can be considered as the last opportunity to make their mark felt with the national side. The addition of Matt Henry will strengthen their bowling attack, but the spinners need to provide adequate support (Cole McConchie, Ajaz Patel and Blair Tickner).

Pakistan vs Newzealand ODI series starts today. The match will be played in Rawalpindi Pakistan. I am not sure but I think this is the first time an international team will be playing in Pakistan this year. 3 ODIs will be played between them and I think Pakistan will dominate this series as it is played in their home ground.

The turmoil started on August 15th, what it has to do with their performance now? Will they be allowed to play the WorldCup is a big question mark? The British government has already said that they will not recognise the new government in Afghanistan. ICC might follow go ahead and ban this team from playing any kind of cricket in the future. This tournament might become their last.

It's just a matter of time before they are banned from all forms of sports. What happened to apartheid era South Africa will happen to Afghanistan as well. But that said, I don't think that the ICC will ban them from the world cup. Any action is likely to come after the tournament, since there is not enough time available to replace Afghanistan with another team. But Australian cricket board has already said that they will be cancelling the test-series against Afghanistan. BCCI's position is going to be important.

Is anyone watching the match of Bangladesh Under-19 Youth? Looking at their performance, it seems that they are very talented. They will lead the Bangladesh national team in the future if they are managed properly by the board.
Bangladesh U-19 team is playing against Afghanistan U-19 team. Bangladesh also won the previous match. In today's match, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat. They lost all their wickets to collect only 101 runs. For Bangladesh, Naimur Rahman has taken 4 wickets with only 14 runs in 10 overs.

I am not surprised by the poor performance from Afghanistan, because a lot of turmoil is now ongoing in that country. The players are not being able to concentrate fully on the game I guess. But both the matches were quite close. And Bangladesh batting looks very brittle. In the first match, they managed a total of only 154 runs, while in the second they lost 7 wickets while chasing 102. Afghan spinners (Shahidullah Hasani, Izharulhaq Naveed) caused a lot of issues for the Bangladesh batsmen. Three more ODIs remain. Let's see how Bangladesh fares in them.

I would say this is a good sign for a lot of talented young cricketers from SENA countries who are struggling to get into their A team or even in the T20 franchise. They are getting a good opportunity to show their talent and also earn a decent amount of money. Their performance will also encourage a lot of local young talent to become a cricketer.

Including foreign players is good for the foreigners themselves, but from what I have seen it discourages the natives from taking up the sport. I have noticed this from Europe and East Asia. When teams like Germany and France were fielding native players two decades ago, there was a lot of interest from the natives and growing number of children were taking up cricket. Now most of the European countries field teams that are 100% made of Indians and Pakistanis and I no longer hear stories about children playing cricket there.

It is just ridiculous to import foreigners on tourist visa and then ask them to wear jerseys of different nations to whom they have no connection. None of the other sports, apart from cricket permits this. In all the other sports, only citizens can represent a country. And some, like Basketball even have a limit on the number of naturalized citizens. On the other hand, nowadays a majority of the "national" cricket teams have zero citizens. What sort of joke is this?

Papua New Guinea scored only 62 runs in 19.2 overs. They have already lost 4 wickets. Although I did not think they could win by batting for 272 runs. Even then, if Papua New Guinea can score 200 runs, I think it will be a good collection for them. But now looking at their batting I think they will lose all their wickets in 130-140.

International cricket is moving heavily towards richer boards such as USA and UAE, who can import mercenary players from countries such as India, Pakistan and South Africa. Even here in this match, PNG was fielding a 100% native side. USA didn't had any citizens in their playing XI. But you can clearly see that PNG is not being able to compete against the United States. And this is repeated across all the regions. Even in Europe, teams with 100% expat sides are thrashing those with native players. Same in Asia as well.

In order to strengthen their middle order, they need to kick out useless guys such as Andile Phehlukwayo and promote Wiaan Mulder and George Linde higher up the order. The same can't be said about Sri Lanka. Apart from a few individual performances every now and then, the Lankan batsmen doesn't seems to be in good form.
Although harsh, I agree that Andile Phehlukwayo doesn't add that much value to the team as someone like a certain Cris Morris does. They lose a lot of players to the kolpak deal where local players are playing in England as locals. I saw Simon Harmer playing there and then even Rilee Rossouw left for the deal because he was not given enough chances at the international level. It's important the cricket board of South Africa understand the value of retaining skilled players.

To be honest, though, a lot of this happens because they don't have a culture/interest in cricket as much there is in countries like India and other Asian countries.
