"15 available / 5 sold"

Nice one.

You know, I'm not opposed to people making money. I really have no problem with that.

But when you become no better than Butterfly Lab, and put pre-ordered, pre-manufactured, untested stuff on Ebay, that's when I have to call COMPLETE BULLSHIT !

Have a nice day. Oh, and don't even try the "It's not me" defense. It's not gonna work with me.

Just because he found 5 suckers does not make it ok, at least in my view.

Like I said previously, I have no problem with people making money. But taking advantage of a community open source project, and putting stuff up for pre-order, when we actually KNOW it doesn't even work yet, is pretty slimy to me.

Just because people WANT to be taken advantage of, does not mean that I have to sit idly by, and watch it happen.

I've said my piece. To each his own. This is not a flame, it is simply an observation. People may do with it as they see fit.

"15 available / 5 sold"
I saw the "Item location: Portland, Oregon, United States"
Maybe it is somebody even forum members here who try to apply their account to sell pre-orders

Even if you just post the prices here in the forum, could you make them available? Some of us small-time miners are working to get funds in order.  Grin

I'm guessing the boards are soldered by hand? Possibly a machine is used?

It takes a certain technique to solder IC chips like Assics by hand. Sort of a swipe from left to right instead of soldering each pin individually.

60/40 Solder with tin and lead is what I always use. The flux is cleaned off the boards with alcohol and then sealed with Humiseal.

So the assembly house does not solder on the 6-pin power connector? Interesting.

What software are you going to run the K16's with?

Are you providing software along with assembled boards? Assembled boards are nice, but if there is no software to run it, there is no point in assembling it.

Are you going to donate some boards to software developers for them to write it (Bkkcoins, Ckolivas, etc)...Huh

Nice work.
Looking forward to seeing the mining performance

Sorry for not being to update the prices in USD. We have been busy assembling the first Klondike 16 board for testing.

We have successfully assembled a Klondike 16 board. Here are some pictures:

Its still missing one component (a capacitor), that we will be getting on Monday, and the power connector, which arrives on Monday too. We will start testing this next week.

Can any EE's comment on the board?

according to the official website of TerraHash, there is an option for the power supply. Does the power supply is universal at the voltage of 12V?

Can you speak about any issues you had while soldering the chips or any other info you can disseminate?

It looks like your solder process went well. Did you use leaded solder?

I have exactly 7BTC waiting for 64 board, and that news about usd payment are damn bad to me. I invested a lot (for me), and now, if they convert the price, I will have very hard time to buy anything... Please stick with the original plan. Many people are not prepared to changes.

I'm sure you can still buy them with Bitcoins as they stated. They are only adding other ways to pay like Pay Pal. And for those that are wondering the USD price multiply the Bitcoin price buy the average Price in USD per Bitcoin.

So if you buy 8 Bitcoins worth of equipment you will pay 8 times 115 =  $920. Unless Pay Pal is charging them extra fees.

I'm just concerned that it could be a complete fraud.
