Really good news!
I'm glad to hear Gnosis is back, looking forward to hearing from him.

The Privacy Solution thing you guys started is pretty amazing : ) I wish you well with pushing through!

 Wink

So refreshing to see real development. Great work on all your projects!

It might soon be time for the community to push on to get on more exchanges (with volume). Do anyone think that we might be able to lower the required "bribes" if we present the innovations to the exchanges? Short term it could bring them some volume, but focus should be on the real world adoption anoncoin actually might achive in the coming months/years.

I'm not sure whether it's good to adopt more exchanges. Sure more people might be aware of it, but in the end the Volume will split and divide to each Exchange, which is not a good thing at all.

I believe one of the reasons Bitcoin got so successful was the Price and the rise in price, this was easier to accomplish because back then there were fewer exchanges for Bitcoin - that's my thinking...

I'm not only thinking profit here, but we can't deny that price and the rise of it is one of the most powerful reasons for people to go on the Anoncoin website, to look on the Forum, to contribute.

What do you all think of BitXBay, the first decentralized marketplace? Here are two short articles about it:

https://exploreb2b.com/articles/bitxbay-the-worlds-first-decentralized-and-anonymous-marketplace
http://coinbrief.net/bitxbay-bitcoin-decentralized-market/

I spoke to the developer by email, and he would like to add support for anoncoin, but for a fee of 1000 usd. I'm not too happy about paying to play. At the same time, though, the project appears to be underfunded, so perhaps this fee would go to a good cause.

I really think that it would be great to associate Anoncoin to these darkmarkets from the start. This might be a good opportunity. He claimed that anoncoin integration would take a month, perhaps less.

I'm willing to commit 10,000USD towards building a darknet ANC marketplace/exchange once AnonCoin Implements ZeroCoin

What is the advantage of associating anoncoin with darkmarkets? All of the resulting mainstream publicity would be bad and most people would use bitcoin anyway. Is there some benefit though?

The association really doesnt matter either way. Originally all bitcoin was good for was buying illicit goods.

The reality is that clearnet is deeply flawed when viewed from a privacy perspective. I believe in a community free from the invasive spying of big brother and i think anoncoin is an excellent medium of exchange for such a community. A darknet marketplace and exchange would allow the community to be self sufficient and not rely on clearnet services. The benefit is independence and thats all we're really asking for anyways.  A self-sufficient, anonymous, unregulated free-market.

Anoncoin has its own four page section in my book called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Reference Book.  Here is the thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptocurrency-the-alt-ernative-beginners-reference-book-483187

I will document all major historical events for ANC as well as the current coin specifications.  I have been working on the book for a few months.  If you would like to help fund this future publication, here is my ANC wallet address:

ANVLEZMHZYZRtS9mT4WNxunwLN7xi89imD

How many confirmations are there per transaction?

Here is the preview section for ANC:

I'll send u some Smiley Should be on it's way! Feel free to use my real name with my nick as middle name which I started with after breaking the anonymity.
Might be worth reading this, http://geti2p.net/en/blog/post/2014/08/15/The-privacy-solutions-project and with recent news it seems that Orignal is joining in on the Zerocoin implementation.

When do you plan to release the book? Hoping with Orignal we would be finished with ZC before you press it. Also please provide a link when I can buy it Smiley

I plan on releasing the book before this Christmas. I will be applying the finishing touches to all coin sections in OCT/NOV time Smiley

I think we should be looking in this direction. There are several distributed marketplaces under development. OpenBazzars looks intresting. its beta release is at hte end of the month. https://github.com/OpenBazaar/OpenBazaar

also something based on OT might be the best option. http://opentransactions.org . they say they are going to implement voting pools which would essentially eliminate risk of theft. http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Voting_Pools
I think that there are two directions that we could take (or both).

First, we could try to get ANC incorporated into the biggest open market platforms, such as OT, OB, and BXB. In the end, we would likely end up being just one of many altcoins being accepted, which is better than nothing.

Second (as suggested by K1773R on IRC), we could just fork one of these to be an ANC only platform (most likely OT). If we did this, to distinguish it from the "better known" markets, I think that we would have to go for 0% transaction fees. BitXBay (and probably the others, I haven't looked) have built in transaction fees that go to the developers, which kind of bothers me.
I didnt say it should be ANC only. I was talking about forking, mkaing it working for ANC and send a pull request to upstream. This way we dont have to spend somuch money. Just the usual approach if you want something to be merged into an open source software.
ANC only could also exist of course

In Brazil for example, a marketplace like ebay (named mercadolivre there) take a fee of 10%.

That is robbery.

Congratulation on all this projects, and good luck in work! : )
This only can be win-win for ANC.

Btw, most of us wait for ZC news..
I know you are working on that,
but give us something..

Gracias   Wink

And here u get them. I was in talk with orignal now, which is maindev on "Purple I2P" as it now is named. Since I've helped him a lot with the C++ router, and uses much time on ZC because of all the math (waste when he got degree in math. if he help me now, I can help him more afterwards, removing a lot of time I'm using to study the new math). He would probably help me now, which in the end will speed both developments up, since I help him a lot now, but could have done more if it wasn't for ZC. Since he knows math and I know the Anoncoin source, it could go quickly. We have discussed a lot development and delegation of tasks lately, and it was here this was now mentioned. But we will talk more on Monday. If this is the result, it will be win-win for all parts  Smiley

Also, Awesome as hell!! I connected with i2pd, now Purple I2P on IRC 23:15, and it's now 01:48 and still not disconnected, nor has i2pd crashed!! It was also there the discussion took place Smiley

I will get back when I can confirm more with post on sigterm Smiley
Do you know if Gnosis is still working on ZC or did he quit?

Gnosis is still doing the RSA-UFO stuff.  Smiley He just doesn't got time to write code. However, it seems like it's decided that I and Orignal (I2Pd main dev.) will finish the Zerocoin implementation now, with Gnosis's RSA-UFO implementation. Orignal got a higher math degree himself and Zerocoin seemed like an easy task for him with help from me who already know how Anoncoin works, or coins in general for that matter. Smiley - But I get back to you guys on Monday (when he was going to read whitepaper) or later with more about what's going to happen.

Much of this is because it would benefit both projects since I can do and has done a lot on i2pd as well. I'm writing first server node as proof of concept now. Next is profiling, after profiling it's stable enough to be the underlying transport layer of Anoncoin. Implementation methods already discussed! Grin

A lot of people don't trust or respect the Anon branding.  My personal view is indifferent but I do admire some of their work.  Although there is a lot of uneducated and ignorant people waving that mask around even if it is with the best intentions.  Using official Anon branding may backfire, but it could also pay off if you get a lot of their hardcore supporters onboard with this project.  I've mentioned Anoncoin to a few of my hardcore crypto friends for a good while now and some of them are really put off by the fact that Anoncoin uses the official Anon branding.

https://twitter.com/TheAnonMessage had 83,600 followersuntil they got yanked yesterday.

https://twitter.com/Crypt0nymous has 94,300 followers.

https://twitter.com/YourAnonNews has 1,200,000 followers.

And past articles like 2012 http://crooksandliars.com/diane-sweet/anonymous-beats-reddit-win-time-100-po show the collective has quite a lot of grass roots.

Are your friends put off by what exactly?

http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/02/false-flag-operations-exposed-new-snowden-leaks-show-spy-agencies-disrupt-discredit-dissent/

I think that they are put off by the fact that Anonymous leaked the wrong name of the police officer in Ferguson. That is a pretty serious screw up.

Maybe that was a screwup, and maybe they chose a person who had never even served on that department in order to force the hand of the local Sheriff.... just saying.

Each person who uses the Anonymous symbol does so on their own. They don't speak for anyone else. The name released on that twitter by the same one(s) who released audio was bryan willman. The actual officer involved was darren wilson.

Apparently a fake facebook page was set up by the police dept to draw away people looking for that officer. A photograph of the officer who shot the person was available hours after the shooting, and was seen by those who leaked that name.

Do you understand that Anonymous is not a group? The only people who try to encourage others to perceive anonymous as a group are those that are trying to discredit it.

Hi Matthew,

Please see the FAQ. Anoncoin is not directly associated with Anonymous. The logo has been changed, which will be updated elsewhere once Zerocoin is implemented and the new web site goes live.

https://wiki.anoncoin.net/FAQ

A person has to laugh. Do you understand that Anonymous is not a group? And also that most people who hold anoncoin do so for its use of the Anonymous symbol, not for anything to do with zerocoin? You are destroying any value anoncoin has.
