I've been using BitInstant regularly for 8 months now and they have never been anything but fast, fair, and genuinely honest and trustworthy.  I just used it again today (not knowing about all the issues people were having), and I actually never even received an email with an OrderID or Quote ID, but I stupidly didn't notice and did get an automated Zipzap/Moneygram deposit slip, and deposited the money.  BUT, I have no doubt that BitInstant will get everyone sorted and is doing so as fast as they can.  I would be pretty upset if I had hundreds of dollars held up for over a month like that one earlier poster, but if it makes anyone feel better, I think this is a case of some bad luck going down with their server side software (glitches, sql database problems, who knows) and that can make it take days or weeks to track down every single transaction.  

That said, I sure hope I get an order ID or something soon.  I did contact customer service, but I've been waiting, uh...6 hours, and it sounds like I may be waiting days.  That's unfortunate, but I trust BitInstant to resolve my and everyone else's stalled transactions as quickly as they can.  


To BitInstant Support if they see this: I have not even received an OrderID, but I have a Zipzap receipt and payment slip of my deposit, along with my email and the Mt.Gox account number I wanted it sent to.  Please get in touch with me when you are able to (please help people who have been waiting for days before more recent orders like mine).

The exact same thing happened to me today as well. Only my deposit was supposed to go directly to a bitcoin address as that option was available when I printed out my deposit slip. No answer yet from any of my inquiries. I'll keep updating things as I find stuff out --  

And why are there no notifications warning of any problems on their website to prevent someone like me from getting jerked around like this?

It was a total of 1 week for my transfer. I used MoneyGram to Mt.Gox. Good luck everyone.

Earlier today I made a CVS cash deposit to MTgox.  It was for 113.95.  I have my Mtgox account id and account number which is tc101 and 253365.  I clicked the next page before i got a chance to print the account number and order number.  I sent an email to support a couple hours ago, but am looking through this forum for some help.  Thank you in advance.

So I made a cash deposit at my local CVS using bitinstant to zipzap to my mtgox account and got an email from bitinstant about 30 minutes later saying that the transfer was complete and i thought that it would give me a coupon code for mtgox however it said the funds ha be deposited directly to my mtgox account. however when i checked my mtgox account it said i still had no funds added and even now 5 hours later there is still no funds added. I emailed bitinstant support but no response yet. I just want to know that the funds will be transferred soon hopefully because of a tight budget i really cannot afford to lose this money. is there anyway to check and see if it is still being transferred or what? thank you in advance!
Btw i did put in my mtgox account number correctly and my bitinstant order id is e7272294-7c3f-4a13-8f5b-fb4f6bee9df3

Funds have finally made it into my Mt.Gox account. Very appreciative for their efforts through all this. Hoping everyone else get's their issues resolved.

Bitinstant should be blacklisted here. Their forum accounts should be banned and there should be a sticky thread from an admin explaining that they are not a reliable company. There is no excuse for this shit. They gave it a good honest try, and had the best intentions, but they've failed. For this community to continue to support them is unacceptable.

If anyone feels like they've been scammed vs simply looking for customer service, post in that thread.  Too many people have posted in this thread saying that their money is gone, and had they only seen this thread first, they wouldn't have sent money.  Maybe if it goes to the more public sections of the forum, we can save a few people some money.

I was also given the response of the next few hours from a support agent named Rachel and I desperately need those bitcoins so I am posting here hoping someone will see this and see just how many people are in the dark! This is crazy! Fix these problems asap, BitInstant! What is wrong with you people?

I too have had money taken from me by BitInstant and they have not held up their end of our contractual agreement, I have contacted customer "service" multiple times and seem to only have received a form email in reply assuring me that my order was being processed manually "within the next couple of hours", more than a day ago.  Does bitInstant have any intention to remedy these issues or should I think about trying to organize a class-action suit with others who seem to be in this same boat?  Yankee???  Anyone?

I used Bitinstant yesterday, code from Bitstamp to MtGox, it worked well, but it was only for about 20 USD, to test out the waters, I'm glad I didn't try with larger amounts.

This is NOT looking good for Bitinstant. Hope they're just swaped and not crooks!

Just double checked. All the info i input was correct. The money was sent to a mtgox account instead of bitstamp. This is a very urgent issue and i am positive time is of the essence. My money was given to someone else.

you better get a hold of mtgox and tell them to freeze that transaction asap.  If that money hits the wrong account your shit out of luck.
