im happy to wait the two or three weeks longer but i expect a bigger units as per the miners protection promise and in a time frame of the same i.e next week my miners ready for shipping they offer me a bigger miner due to roi issues then i expect it at the same time as when my origional unit

Well, they absolutely need to offer you a bigger miner!   Go to www.thegenesisblock.com to calculate ROI.  You will noticed that there is negative ROI after 6 months of mining.

hi amt i have a 520 ghs miner on order in the space of time its taken you to get your head round your issues and start shipping these miners btc diff has gone up 3 fold meaning people who ordered in feb/jan whom are still waiting on rigs have no roi window please coyld you explain how you mean to implement your miners protection and ship out either 2 units per order or double the hashing power as promised. in the state things are now if you dont warrant the protection that you offered as matter of course with every order then you will just recieve much more of a backlash from the mining comunity. please either reapond here or pm me with your response thanks.

Anything less at this point is unacceptable

Seems like it might be easier to order the components and put the thing into our own cases and cages. Not to mention cheaper in theory. Not sure how custom these setups actually are.

I took a look at the cages scattered on the floor there. They appear to be set up to mount into ATX cases. SO in theory they could be mounted into another better case. And the PSU looks like an off the shelf PSU. Nothing custom. Which is fine with me. I prefer to optimize my hardware for maximum efficiency. No stranger to building from scratch. I have built whole SAN arrays in this way saving some companies millions. And the best part is reliability. I don't cut corners so the hardware lasts (well hard drives are beyond my skill but easily replaceable).

But anyway the point is it looks like these cages could easily just be mounted into a better case for better ventilation. I still think the existing case is adequate now that I know the model of the case and its specs, but once you ratchet to turbo mode that could become a problem if enclosed. A single ventilation point at the top is a good start but not enough without more pushing the hot air off the fins which requires fans on the bottom pushing air up. And easy mod with some thing to hold the fans in place at the bottom of the cage pushing air up and away from the fins and out of the case.

I think since the hard drive fans are there they are in a poor position. Under normal circumstances they work fine as they are. But angling them so they face the left of the case blows more cool air into the case around the hard drive mounts. Not elegant but it works.

Also would need to look at the heatsinks themselves. Quality-wise are they any good? The milling processes on heatsinks varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. So I imagine corners were probably cut here too so its just good enough.  But again until there is a group of people with their hands on one there is no way to know for certain their performance levels and consistency. If it were me I would smooth them into a mirror finish so that they are at maximum efficiency.

At this point we really don't know what we are getting. Quality based on past builds of other hardware is questionable at best. But seeing as alot of these devices are first gen at best 1Ths being first gen, the quality is not going to be uber. But all said I would just like to see my miners in my hands. That would be the best thing of all.

It seems what they are shipping is really a 1T miner, not a 1.2T.

I see other miners that are sold as 1T that can be overclocked to 1.3T.

They do not advertise these other miners at 1.3T miners.

It just keeps getting more and more messy.

Are there any plans to send extra board or back plains, or are we expected just to be happy with this 1T? (if it ever ships)

all the more reason to fight these guys in court. They will NOT honor anything they promise. Im through talking to them. if you think they are difficult now just wait until there crappy hardware sets off all the smoke alarms in your house. do you really think AMT is going to honor their warranty? take them to court now or take them to court later.

IT'S NOT A QUESTION OF "IF" YOU TAKE AMT TO COURT. IT'S A MATTER OF "WHEN" WILL YOU TAKE AMT TO COURT.

If i were to receive another rig from AMT, FIRST thing i would do is remove it from it's case, BEFORE i turn it on.  The cases and configurations they are using are nothing but a waste of space and add extra cost.  just do the antminer thing, and ship without a case.  who cares what it looks like if it works.

It's important that the whole setup be grounded to avoid any electrical issues or surges.

I agree though, the case was a complete waste of time and resources.

The people in this thread need to come together and decide AS A GROUP: whether we want to "wait it out for AMT" or to file against them together.

At this point they are peddling shoddy vaporware. The build quality is pretty awful, and they haven't proved that they will stand behind any warranty or their infamous MPP. What will you do if the boards burn out after a month of running it? Hope AMT comes to the rescue? Good luck with that, or getting a refund at that point.

I know this situation sucks for everyone across the board, but I just don't see the benefit in waiting for these miners any longer. They will not ROI and based on their design, you'd be lucky to get a few months of uptime without some kind of issue.

Perhaps we can have a large meeting on a specific date where everyone jumps into a chat room or Skype to talk about this mess, and where to go from there.

I suggest sooner than later.

Steps have all ready been made. all you have to do is contact me.

clennel already has his lawyer on them.

another user has his lawyer on them.

I'm filing in small claims court.   I'll probably join with the lawsuit of one of these lawyers above.

I think some other folks have filed complaints with the FTC.

In short,  I'm not waiting.   I'm pretty much done with this company.

hey whats ur order number?

Mblackouts order number is #609 if anyone is interested.

Why don't you guys formulate a list of questions that are not related to your order numbers or deliveries/pickups because as you can see we are not answering those types of questions here. If you email [email protected] someone will get back to you.

i've just email them asking for arrangement to pick up my order....

The AMT 1.2TH plate looks like shit but if it functions then who gives a shit.

I like it, it looks pretty cool, looks better in person.  But you have a point.  the unit is hashing does it really matter what it looks like.  nope

How fast is it hashing? Any idea of it's power draw?

I am relieved that they did actually make the things. I've not been real happy with the drama I got myself in here Cheesy

Actually, that brings up a few more questions: Are the boards AMT with A1 chips, or are they Bitmine.ch, Technobit, Huh Ok, I know they aren't Technobit cuz Martin already said so.
It has 5 blades... At 300gh each maybe giving it 1.5 not sure... Hopefully that's the case. How's your unit holding up bio?

One of the cards went south on me yesterday. Trying to determine if it's fixable. I started a thread about it in custom hardware... but it blew sparks out of a couple of capacitors, one of which is now a crater. The PSU shut down before much was damaged, at least. I suspect the card had issues for a while, since the other one running solo is consistently doing about 45 GH/s now, whereas the total between them was rarely over 80. Really solidly AT 80 until yesterday Sad

Martin of Technobit has said it probably overheated because of insufficient heatsinks and being in a tight case. I should have taken people's advice and ran 'em in the open air to begin with. Oh well, live and learn. I may be able to repair it, or sell it cheap to somebody who can. Sucks losing half my hashrate, though.

I told ya it was too hot for them in that tiny, poorly ventilated case.  Sucks to hear yours blew.  sounds like what happened when i first got mine.
