I love that 'the market is going to crash because fake Tethers!!!!one' narrative that some posters keep hawking. It's bullshit, and even though I don't think people should hold Tethers, it's for different reasons.
See it for what it is: clever FUD narrative they try to make sound plausible which they'll mention frequently while their shorts are open, and conveniently not mention when they're long. Tether purchasing power isn't enough to move the market as much as they claim, regardless of whether they're fractionally reserved or not.

The OMG team mentioned from the beginning it would leave it up to them to distribute the tokens or not.
It is, I believe, a matter of putting pressure on the exchanges for them to redistribute.
They're getting literally millions of OMG tokens from their users' holdings.

First, I love that OMG is doing this and I'll gladly accept this airdrop.
But with the ability to push tokens to all wallets,
could someone force an issue by spamming the distribution of junk tokens?
Is there something in place to prevent this kind of spam or is it just not in issue at all for reasons that I don't know?

omg is not really anyhow connected to china (thankfully) and it's volume on chinese exchange is low, so i'm not really worried about OMG at all.

Bitfinex. It's a fantastic platform. Easy verification, margin trading (3.3X leverage), it never goes down (i.e Kraken which seems to go down at important times in a manner that is suspicious), and has high volume.
Trading crypto-fiat is way, way easier to make money because you only need to gauge the sentiment of one volatile asset at a time. Arguably, all trading is inevitably done in crypto-BTC, if you assume that you are trading for the purpose of getting more BTC, or comparing to what your gains would be by just holding BTC. But, I still think crypto-fiat is the way to go.
I have literally never closed a trade at a loss when trading crypto-fiat, which is in stark contrast to crypto-crypto pairs.
