Yeah you're right mate and I really don't think that casinos really want to see their players fail because the more the players fail, the more people will turn against their company.
Most times greed is a major factor that leads to loss and if a casino can point out all of this caution to people, then I don't think they really wan to see their players fail.
Chasing after losses is another major problem and without mixing words, it's one of the major epidemic in gambling as people now gamble with money they can't afford to loss and when the losses comes, they now Begin to chase after those losses which in most cases always has a negative return.

I don't believe online casinos enjoy seeing a gambler lose money.
I don't think so if they really are they would stop the gambler from losing more, by restricting their account, but many of these casinos don't care, they don't have a limit on what a gambler can wage.

I'd like to believe that they only want responsible gamblers to patronize them. They believe they have a moral obligation to present some suggestions for responsible gambling to the general population. It is also logical to believe that if they could assess visitors for gambling addiction, those who failed the test
I'm sure they will not ask all their gamblers to do KYC and undergo a professional assessment and submit the result so they can continue gambling on their platform.

The following are some of the responsible gambling guidelines I found on Livecasino.io, Duelbits, TrustDice, and others. They all have the same idea
- Treat your betting and gaming as a form of entertainment and only use money that you have set aside for your entertainment.
- Do not bet or wager amounts larger than you are comfortable with.
- Do not bet or wager with money you cannot afford to lose.
- Do not chase your losses.
- Do not let your betting and/or gaming take up time that you would usually spend on other activities.

These are all just advice casinos still leave on the gambler's decision how much they want to gamble and how long they want to gamble, they really can't control the actions of their players and that's something that benefit them, you gamble they profit.

That is a recommendation from the casino for people before they register at the casino. Still, I don't think that those people will take the time to read but will register immediately so they can immediately deposit their money and play gambling games. Casinos provide advice like that because they have a responsibility to gamblers even though it will return to each gambler. If a gambler can be wise in gambling, he will not spend too much money, let alone use money that exceeds the limit. He will manage his money to gamble and will stop when he feels he has had enough gambling.
IMO, it's not necessary to read because if you are a responsible person, you already know the risk of gambling, and of course the possibility of what will happen to you if you will not gamble responsibly. A good example of irresponsible gamblers is those gamblers who are having big debts because they can't control their addiction, and eventually, they'll become homeless.

Any thoughts?

I believe that such advice comes more from regulation than self-imposed, although people running casinos are humans after all and while I don't doubt that there are those who put money above all else, there will also be those who care about the welfare of the customer.

1.Are you kidding me? Every casino wants gamblers, who constantly keep losing and losing money. That's the "meat and bread" of the gambling business. Every gambling business owner, who states that he wants more responsible/moderate gamblers and less gambling addicts to play in his casino is simply lying.

Yes, well, I understand you in part, but it is as if you were saying that all beverage manufacturers would prefer everyone to be alcoholic in order to increase their sales, and I think that is far from the truth.

2.For me, responsible gambling is implemented by some casinos because of two things:
-Maybe such "gamble responsibly" disclaimers are required by the laws and regulations in some countries.
-This is just another PR marketing gimmick, which has the sole purpose to make the casinos look more legit.
By the way, the tips mentioned at the bottom of your forum thread are really good. Gambling is entertainment, gambling is not a way to make easy money and/or get rich quick.

I also partly agree. I mentioned the first point above, but the PR strategy had not occurred to me.

I support your opinion. Online sites Commonly prefer responsible gamblers. Because they know that some gamblers manage to gamble well for a few days but they cannot survive in the long run. As a result, the casino site is relatively give the less important to those clients. A gambler should balance both his betting amount and bankroll. Betting more than you are prepared to lose never falls under responsible gambling. Again many gamblers try their best to recover their lost money which can be one of the causes of losses.

    -   Honestly, I don't know if I would be happy with a casino telling their gamblers like that, what do they mean gamble responsibly? In the eyes of the majority of the community in the world, gambling is not good and it does not bring anything good to the majority of gamblers.

Then it's true what some people said here that the casino is a business, that's the aim of that is the more that many gamblers deposit on their gambling platform, that's their profit. They have no losers because most of the time their house edge wins and if someone wins big that's only 1 in a million among the many gamblers who always lose, is this the gamble responsibly the one you always lose?

Casino is a business and in order for them to profit they need gamblers to play on their platform and spend money, the higher the better, because that's how their business work.

The guidelines are similar to alcohol and cigarette advertisement. They're reminding the customers to drink moderately and for cigarettes they're saying it is dangerous, but still keep on selling it despite of the harm that it can cause. It just depends on the people patronizing it on how they will let these products affect them. In gambling if you gamble and play in moderation you won't get a serious problem. I believe the casino has no moral obligation since they're not forcing you to play, it's your own will.

It would also make sense casinos prefer their gamblers to wager responsibly, because in the long term a responsible gambler can continue to come back and keep gambling on their platforms.

On the other hand, someone who is gambling compulsively will end up losing all their money very quickly and it will degenerate into problems that will make more difficult to keep a job as source of income.

Does anyone agree?

Regardless casinos do really care about this thing, the most important thing for us as players is just to gamble responsibly. Even if casinos do not have this in their website, we should responsible for ourselves. For me warning in any products/services is just a formality, it is created because of regulation, it can be regulation by the government, licenses, or any other related department.

Casinos do enjoy watching people lose money at their casino because that means they are getting profits, what they do not like is people ruining their lives and losing everything to them, and while this may come from a humanitarian motivation the most obvious reason is that this is bad for their business, as it is because those people we have regulations that are so harsh and if anything they force them to put in place all kind of measures which the majority of the gamblers do not need and will never use.

Why would gambling casino's would want that the gamblers become responsible ?

Also gambling sites may never care if gambler is losing his hard earned money, the money he can't afford to lose. They want gamblers to put each and everything in gambling and the motive of gambling sites is to get maximum deposits and wagering by the players.

Well, this is true that trust dice and few other have mentioned this on their site but i think this is done just for formality. They will never stop gamblers from doing this. If they were serious, would site implement such features that in case of excessive losses, the site disables the gamblers ability to gamble so that they can't chase loses. Or they may limit wagering / betting on daily basis, but they never implement these feature. They only want people to wager extensively and lose money in gambling.

I don't take that advice of them as a big deal. Regardless, that line of statement is always expected at most gambling sites.

They care for their users' money but I don't believe that's even their concern and priority to start with.

Business is business. It's no different from other product warnings.
Agreed, they care for the users money and they want their users to have a safer gamble. This safer gamble in my understanding seems to be without much loss. Only then the user doesn't feel down and continue to gamble. As said, end of the day it is business. We don't know whether this has been added on concern or just for the purpose of reminding the users about the risk.

I was surprised that someone put an emphasis on those gambling responsibly tips on the site where in the fact, it's just a normal thing that those advice needs to show as these businesses are in the gambling industry. Maybe that was even part of the things that their license providers asked them to do.

It's good to see that these gambling sites are doing that but we should not take it seriously to the point that we should think that the casino is taking care of us.  It's just a matter that they need to advise their users but why the hell they should care if we lose or not? Smiley

I believe that’s something any casino is obligated to do in first place and give advices to gamblers, it’s the enhanced picture of Cigarette packets where they say smoking kills and all other warnings about it but logically if every person listen to that warning there will be no cigarette factories and no smokers.
Surely there is respectful casinos where they care about people and wish everyone know how to gamble in a responsible way, as there’s casinos that even scam their users. We just need to pick the good casinos and enjoy responsibly. Since the casino’s support team will be working more hours trying to explain for irresponsible gamblers that they can’t help them with the funds they lost while gambling.
Not forgetting that half accusations of scam against casinos are made by people that are addicted to gambling and gamble in a bad way so whenever they lose big amount of money they start complaining and open cases against the casino

That's already a normal scene where casinos are putting disclaimers about what to expect from gambling. It's like other "sin activities" where there's always associated advice or something that reminds their clients/users not to push on the limit.

It's good to see that they are pointing out how to be a responsible gambler.

But in general, we should already know that during gambling, we should always stay responsible and have no need for any advice.

I don't know about you but from what I have seen, they could care less if you lose money. the fact that they've designed bonus promotions to try and bring back gamblers that have lost money on their gambling site and entice them to gamble again and hopefully continue gambling shows you that they could care less if you have lost money. also, the "gamble responsibly" you see is most likely part of the regulation that they'd have to follow.

Kinda reminds me of cigarettes. Their ads on every packet which states that cigarette smoking is a health hazard doesn't really deter the smoker, nor the manufacturers want the smoker to stop smoking. It's there because of regulations, and those that are into deep won't really think twice before lighting another stick. Also, these cigarette companies would still create a marketing gimmick that states that their cigarettes taste better than ever and all that type of stuff just to keep the smoker hooked. It really is no different honestly.

I dont believe that they would really be that too in concern and those guidelines and cautions or warnings are really just showing off that they are really that mindful or having the sympathize into those people who do lost up soo much money. We know on where these gambling platforms or companies do make money which is into those losing gamblers which it would be normal that they would really be that happy when it comes to see those people who do lost up that much.Im not saying that they are all like that but who do knows if someone is really that having a concern.
In most case which i do see that these are just cover ups just for them to make it look good into other peoples eyes that they do care.
I agree with you, in land based casinos, they won't let you play if they see you're too much drunk, they could lose their license if they are doing that but online casinos don't check that and allow anybody in any condition playing large amounts of money. If they really care about that they could make few tests and ask few questions before each gambling session.

It is also logical to believe that if they could assess visitors for gambling addiction, those who failed the test would be banned from signing up. Because they can't, they've created a section of their website with guidelines for responsible gambling.
I don't understand why it's logical according to you and why they are unable to assess gambling addiction of their customers.
