Version 1.3.0 works fine for a few minutes on a R9 390, but after that it shows that it only gets new jobs, but no hashing (doesn't show the hashing speeds anymore) and cards sits at idle frequencies. I am running win10 64bit and mining on miningpoolhub pool.

Can't get 1.3 to run at all on Windows 10.. can someone please post your bat file? Thanks.
I did set PTR to 1. RX470 cards.

Here's the bat file that works for me:
optiminer -s zstratum+tls://us1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 -u t1VR5EKqWHNyCW4KxzpbrD1AwVV7AvWJRqv.m5 -p x

I'm only getting 190-200 h/s in Win 10 64, RX470 1500 strap.. 240-250 is only possible on Linux?

Version 1.3.0 released!

New speeds (stock card, linux):
R9 Nano: 390 S/s
R9 290X: 285 S/s
RX 480: 260 S/s
RX 470 : 245 S/s
Well done. Running 4 ubuntu 16.04 rigs with each 4 rx470.
Stable so far, I'll keep you posted.

Version 1.3.0 released!

  • Further device specific optimizations bringing up to 30% increase in hash rate!
  • Fix crahes with optimized kernel under Windows.

Important: Version 1.3.0 needs GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

4rd and 3rd GCN generation cards (Nano, RX4*0) currently run slower on windows than linux. Therefore I recommend to use linux with fglrx (Nano) or amdgpu-pro (RX4*0) for those cards!

R9 Nano: 390 S/s
R9 290X: 285 S/s

Dear optiminer,

Thank you! It's working like a charm. 10% hashing speed increased.

To all Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!

Version 1.2.0 released!

Change log:
  • Fix memory leek and potential race condition.
  • Improved speed, 5-15% higher hash rate, depending on the device.

This version brings kernels customized for specific devices. Currently, GCN1.1 and GCN1.2 devices are supported that use the fglrx driver. For some of those devices the new kernels are not used automatically. If you see the message "Use 'experimental-kernel' flag to unlock a more optimized version that is still experimental for this device." it means the device should be supported but it has not been tested yet. To try the new kernel just add --experimental-kernel flag to the command line.

OPTIMINER HASH RATES--

Using version 1.1.0:
                               RX 470 --  190 Sols/s
                               R7 370 --  125 Sols/s
                               R9 280X - 220 Sols/s

Using version 0.0.6:
                               Rx 460 --  75 Sols/s

The 4GB RX 460 cards will not run very long on versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.  They run faster, but not reliably.  The rig crashes and freezes, and will not reboot with the watchdog script.       --scryptr

OPTIMINER VS. CLAYMORE HASH RATES--

The above rates for Optiminer are still current.  Comparing those rates to Claymore's Linux Zcash miner, I get:

Using version 9.2:
                           RX 470 --  220 Sols/s
                           R7 370 --  145 Sols/s
                           R9 280X - 220 Sols/s
                           RX 460 --  100 Sols/s

Too early to compare stability on the RX 460 cards.  Claymore's miner did not improve hash rates on the R9 280X cards when compared to Optiminer's latest version.       --scryptr

EDIT:  All of my cards, including my RX 460 cards, have been stable on Claymore's Linux v 9.2 for well over 24 hours.  There has been no fluctuation in hash rates.       --scryptr

[info] Connecting to zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6633.
[error] TLS handshake with zec-eu1.nanopool.org failed: certificate verify failed

Nanopool uses a self-signed certificate. Optminner does not accept this as it gives this it cannot verify that there is no man-in-the-middle attack.

Thank you, is there possibility (I have download the certificate) to tell optiminer to use them?

I might add the option to specify the pool certificate fingerprint on the command line. This would allow you to mine on a pool that uses self-signed certificates in a mostly secure way.
