I already asked here about your backend security https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/is-anybody-using-ownr-wallet-5227411 and people are still optimistic about closed source solutions
But i will ask once again anyway. Are you planning to make your wallet open source or at least do an audit?

We intend to reveal the code. Partly. When the product is closer to what it's meant to be, with the enterprise and dev functionality, and most of the options for users are implemented, so that we have what to show indeed  Smiley Once again, there are no fully open source wallets: if it reads 'open source', it doesn't mean you'll see something but frontend opened. At least it's true for more solid, multifunctional products

Does OWNR wallet plan to increase the number of its partnership agreements? Will the project be cooperated with exchanges, banks, companies, or some financial projects in the future or will the partnership with Bitfinex remain the only one?

For what reason? If just for building their marketing campaign - it's ok. They may include more features and list coins without other parties.

For sure all these collaborations are always done for hype and PR. That's not so bad, I hope Ownr got lots of users after agreeing with Bitfinex.
Marketing is very important in our days. So, i happy too see every real and useful partnerships

Bitfinex users were provided an option which was not available to them before as a result of this collaboration. So saying it's just for hype would be an exaggeration.

It was in respect to my comment above that i asked this question. Even though OWNR themselves maybe a small player, bitfinex is a big fish. Don't you guys have some sort of B2B marketing thing. The people involved from Bitfinex's side should be known public personalities. You can always find one of their team members to talk about your service or do an AMA when you launch a new product.

At the moment the partnership with Bitfinex includes only one option - purchasing USDT with card for Bitfinex users, so it's hardly worth a separate AMA, we believe. But it's going to be expanded in the foreseeable future, so shedding light on the people behind OWNR (but for CEO and CTO) may be a good idea indeed.

Talking about publishing some open source part timeline - considered to be done in 1st half of 2020, most of efforts are involved in development of more fundamental functions for users.
Well i don't think there needs to be any timeline for making it open source partly. It is either open source or it has to be trusted and closed source. All these exchanges are not open source yet people trust them because of their history. The option for any such service as yours is to maintain impeccable customer service and preferably have a traceable and trustworthy digital identity.

And in regards of partnership with Bitfinex (if Im right to understand you) all the glory goes to both CTOs. Some ideas of our CTO Sergey are publishe in this manner from time to time

Hello. Thanks for choosing Bitcointalk for the promotion of your wallet and your plan to onboard further services around this. I have joined your Sig campaign and have a few questions.

In the beginning of the ANN thread there was a talk about wallet being closed source to which you had been quite candid in accepting that due to the competition and the way crypto is working (especially for Alts), this is not possible. I followed that thread and OmegaStarscream shared this post where you have mentioned that you will open source some part of the code. Do you have any tentative time line for that? In the meantime, Do you think a third-party security audit would be way to do it?

The bitfinex announcement page has also mentioned that they have partnered with OWNR wallet. Can you shed some light on who are the people involved in this process in case they have a public presence or are recognizable from their contributions as developers. I understand that starting a service in crypto is a huge task with the challenges of trust and security. A service HAS to start somewhere and a history of great user experience is the only way to build trust. Good luck for the endeavor.

Hello amishmanish!

First of all thanks for your participation in Sig campaign!

I have reached out to the support regarding selling my BTC for SEPA since there is no way to do it through the website, but I still haven't received any response. Mind telling me what's the exact procedure to follow here?

Hi. Escalated it. Sorry for the delay. The support guys will get back to you soon

I don't understand where this usd/ltc rate comes from. On CMC it is now lower

You may check the explanation in this article

In short, there may be time lags for rates taken from CMC, and a minor fee is included, of course

We know what it’s like to have multiple wallets. That’s why the new OWNR Wallet release comes with the option to set the name for each wallet.

Manage your multiple Bitcoin wallets with ease instead of spending time to distinguish them.

I just made an account on your website and even though, there is a mention of SEPA on the first page, I can't seem to find how to make a sell order for it?

I'd like to get the details on this too.

If you'd love to use the SEPA transfer option, please contact us at info@ or [email protected] so that we can discuss the details. Currently it's done this way

Still can't get how you make an order and everything.
An order with SEPA or a regular purchase order? If you need assistance with the latter, feel free to DM me or contact support

Why you dont want to show your code base if you are non-custodial & secure?

It appears that they have plans on making their wallet (or at least some of it) open source in the future: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53770275

If you want a multi-coin wallet that is open source, you should either go with an HW wallet (Ledger/Trezor) or HODLER wallet.

We do. To be more precise, we are going to show some code when we are closer to the ecosystem planned  Smiley

Not sure that advertising other wallets in the project thread is okay though  Grin
