Well we don't know his lifestyle behind boxing, actually we did, he is so extravagant and buying expensive toys, like cars and jewelries, and we all know that this kind of lifestyle is not sustainable in the long run that's why I have a hunch that we wanted more money today and he can get it by fighting Manny Pacquiao.

what i see i this scenario is "planted" everything that has been in the media eversince is designed to get the Pulse of the people if we want another match or not and they win because the eagerness of every people tells them that another big money is on the basket

Business indeed. There's no pride for Mayweather anymore as he retired undefeated. While with Manny since he have a successful journey with his political career this rematch is no longer a priority for him. But as usual, if money talks and the call huge $$$ speak up, attracting this two fighters
to return to the ring and make this rematch happen. Who knows but possibilities still there, money is greater than anything inside promoters mind.

True, I doubt that Mayweather is out of cash, he is one of the three sports personalities who have earn $1 billion, the other two are Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan if I'm not mistaken. Maybe he realised that there's no point of accepting exhibitions in Japan because that's not what fans wanted him to do. If he wanted more money, he can simply fight either Conor or Manny that's is. But the real money fight for him is obviously Manny Pacquiao.

Yeah, I read this news too, and I'm not surprised though, he wanted to make a lot of money so instead of fighting for exhibitions for merely millions, why not fight Pacquiao when he can make like $200m-$300m? And he says he will beat Manny Pacquiao again so I guess it's the right decision for him.

You are right. Also, Floyd vs Conor happened two years back, when the market conditions were more favorable. On the other hand, Manny vs Floyd was in 2015 when the situation was a bit more difficult. There is a lot of hype for any potential rematch between Floyd and Manny and I am sure that the overall revenue this time will be much higher than what they got in 2015.

Another thing to consider is the revenue generation. The fight between Floyd and Conor generated much more revenue, when compared to the fight between Floyd and Pacquiao. So for Floyd, it is always better to fight Conor rather than Manny. And in case Manny wants this fight to move forward, then he needs to give in to the demands made by Floyd. Nothing wrong in that. Floyd has the advantage here.

I don't know where you get your numbers but Floyd vs Manny is still the highest grossing PPV numbers in history, and Conor vs Floyd is just #2.

Of course Floyd will always be the A-side in any fight and not even Manny can complain about it. And remember that Manny is still under contract back then and if I remember it correctly, the split is 60/40 which is fair in my opinion.

I will lock this thread today and will unlock again only if there will be a clear indication that a fight between this two legends. All I can see now is nothing but trying to keep the talks alive but FM is not interested anymore. FM might be interested but not today or this year. He looks at this fight as an option only, maybe if he has no exhibition fights left he might consider.
