I might lock the topic in the next couple of days since I read somewhere that Manny Pacquiao has no plans of having another fight for the remaining months of 2019, which means a possible fight with Floyd is not in the horizon. But I am still hoping for this 2 to meet again inside the ring.

Mannys son already had a taste his first loss via unanimous decision.
Yeah, there's no point discussing this anyway if we're all just getting rumors and opinions about this potential match. But once official and confirmed that they will have the match, you're free to unlock this topic and discuss things again.

Moving on with other fights, I think that's all what we have to monitor.

Floyd Mayweather might return … for a billion dollars, says Andre Ward, who suggests Canelo rematch

https://www.scmp.com/sport/boxing/article/3025718/floyd-mayweather-might-return-billion-dollars-says-andre-ward-who

Andre Ward has said he thinks Floyd Mayweather could be tempted out of retirement again – if he’s offered US$1 billion to get back in the ring.

This is too much for us fans, Floyd is pressuring us to pay him just for him to get back fighting again, this clearly says about his name Money, the greediness of money. Well, hopefully we won't be able to see this happens because with this big money at stake and it will still result to a boring fight, it would result in painting negative image to the boxing world.

I just think that US$1 billion guaranteed for him is just impossible, he should just enjoy his retirement than asking this amount when he doesn't deserve this.
Is what it is but if you put yourself in his shoe, you'll understand that for him to cancel some of his schedule and spend limited time with his family while he spend much time preparing himself for the fight the money involve have to worth it.
You call it greed but he sees it as business statistics.
Actually this depends on the promoter, asking $1 billion could be too high but if the promoter of the fight sees it possible, he might get this money.
It could probably be his biggest paycheck in boxing and probably the biggest in boxing history, so the likelihood of this happening is very less.

He is not a Legend anyway, Manny is more deserving to ask for this amount if only he has a great marketing people behind him. who knows how to hype a fight just like Mayweather is doing. Manny being able to fight a lower class boxer like Lucas Matthysse and Horn, that's too humble on going down but his price also did go down doing it.

Will Manny Pacquiao succeed where Floyd Mayweather failed?
The Filipino boxer hopes PAC Token cryptocurrency will be a knockout

https://www.scmp.com/magazines/style/news-trends/article/3025324/will-manny-pacquiao-succeed-where-floyd-mayweather

Filipino WBA welterweight champion launches digital currency at Sunday’s free Manila concert and hopes fans use it to buy merchandise and interact with him on social media

I already heard of this PAC token before, but thanks that finally he was able to launch it successfully.
This guy has diversified his money and good thing that he is pro crypto, I don't think Manny is so smart, he is just lucky he was surrounded by smart people.
As i remember where Floyd mayweather do introduce Centra project but eventually failed up.I havent checked out PAC coin yet on what this coin is all about.
Hopefully this one isnt just being supported not just because on the hype or just bought up the coin because they idolize Pacquiao too much.lol
Floyd was only a promoter of Centra, along with DJ Khaled, the ICO was a success, but later the project was declared as scam because the team violate the rules in the US, IIRC, these two has been penalized for what happen because they promoted the project.

PAC coin is different, it's Manny's own coin and he is promoting his own project.
Actually there's an old news on that, https://business.inquirer.net/247580/manny-pacquiao-invests-cryptocurrency-firm-is-set-launch-pac-coin
It was just launch lately.
Mayweather do really loves to waste up money on shitty ICO's just like this one: https://shitcoinoffering.com/stox-ico-mayweather-gotten-another-scam/

Im wondering on what platform would PAC coin would use? Erc20? Probably.

I thought this PAC coin is already dead because I don't heard about it since last year and now it finally launch many spectators I know are waiting for this especially those who supported and promoted it since from the start, Pacman is everywhere from boxing to basketball and now to cryptocurrency, what if in the future fights of Manny this PAC coin will be the main currency to use as payment? Sounds interesting right?
I can only see him at least 3 more fights in the future before retirement, I think it will not be use more on his fight, but maybe if he will continue promoting boxing, we will see this coin useful for the fights he will be promoting.

This isn't like a coin that has great potential, this coin is more like focus on Manny Pacquio's activity, but maybe they might add some use case of the coin in the future, but I don't its attractive as ETH or BNB which is really useful globally.

I think this is irrelevant to the topic.

You can create another thread for this on the Altcoin discussion and let's have a conversation about the PAC tokens that will be given away and created under Pacquiao's name. We were also aware of how Floyd failed his advertisement with Centra ICO before.

AFAIK, after the concert, there will be PAC tokens to be given away for free.

But if these kind of cut continues, won't they abuse that system? Let's say Mayweather, he is a great and talented boxer but usually, he's fights are not that kind of matches that will make the crowd wild like Manny's fights. Manny is also litting up the crowd with those flashy moves and the punch fest while Mayweather just punch and pedal back.
I don't think that there's an abuse that will happen if this cut system will continue. Both parties agreed to sign a deal and they are aware of the cut that they'll take before the match.

Let's just accept differences and strengths between their fighting style. I'm not a Floyd fan but if it looks dull to you, that's where he's good at. It looks annoying for the fans but that's really effective on his side.

Floyd will not agree to 50/50 split.

If that happens and Manny agrees to have that percentage of split, I don't think that Floyd will do the same decision. IMHO, The first fight that they have was able to happen because of Manny's adjustment not Floyd's desire to fight him.

That is the reason why I don't want to bet in this fight.

Floyd's goal usually is the money he will be getting in the fight. It is clear since in the last match these two boxers managed to get a lot of money especially Floyd Mayweather. Manny helped a lot of people, I know that Floyd did too but Floyd is just getting back in the fight for the money, not the pride he has as one of the greatest boxers of this era.

People knows Mayweather a lot, the fans like this rematch so Manny will have a chance to win and will become the best boxer in his era, with Floyd having an undefeated record and was able to beat Manny in their first and only fight, there's a lot of arguments from fans that are going to happen if there's a debate on who is the best player, but if this rematch will take place, this would be the final say on who between the two is the best boxer.

Therefore, let's help this fight to be realize, it's gonna be one of the biggest in boxing history though it's expected it's not an explosive fight as these are already oldies fighting for the pride.
We cant close this issue though when it comes to the best boxer on this era. This would really be a fight for pride but Mayweather would do this just for money but on my own view he wont really make any rematches further yet he would see that having a zero loss until he retire sounds pretty amazing to look on.Im pretty sure that he knows on pacmans capability when it comes to in-fight thats why he's clever enough to win up the previous fight by points.

Arum to Pacquiao: Fight Mayweather or retire

http://fightnights.com/2019/08/30/4639/arum-to-pacquiao-fight-mayweather-or-retire

"He shouldn't fight Spence, and he shouldn't fight (Terence) Crawford," Arum continued. "Wait for Mayweather. I don't know (if the fight happens), but that is the only fight I think he should fight."

Good advise but I don't think that Manny will can listen to Arum now. Yes, it's a dangerous fight for Manny but we have seen that he is still on top of his game and just beat a prime Thurman. And that is what Manny is doing for many years now, waiting for Mayweather but it seems that Floyd is no longer interested . The only thing that will really lure Floyd out of retirement is a bigger pay check than the first fight.

I agree with the advise of arum, but he should give an advise on Mayweather too because we know Manny is always ready to fight Mayweather, but it's just Mayweather who are playing this possibility just to get for a big pay check, probably bigger than the past fight.

Manny fighting a younger opponent is very risky, let's reflect on his last fight, he won, but he got hit badly by Thurman, what would happen if he fight a better boxer than Thurman?
