Way too clever on making some millions on a short fight. Exhibition match with Pacquiao? - that's some sort of smart-ass decision and as being said there would be no reputation would be on stake here but at the same time both fighters would earn some easy money.
Definitely a smart move from him. High offer which a fight that wouldn't move any of his record of zero loss although it can make him a lot of money after the fight. I'm sure that there's still hype between the two fighters and they can't waste the opportunity of making that much. As long as there are people who would love to watch and fly to Japan immediately once the match has been settled.

But in regards into the situation we cant still able to enjoy the fight since everything would really be just like a show-off or warm-up.  Grin
Fans still would enjoy the fight and mostly Floydie.

I hope Mayweather will not run away around the ring because it is only an exhibition match. No need to count on punches or anything but just fight toe-to-toe. Anyway, there will be no belt at stake so he should not worry if he loses this one.

That's his bread and butter, not to be hit that's why he really hasn't taken any damage throughout his career, but majority of the boxing fans doesn't like that at all. Regarding the exhibition, why not full 12 round fight with Manny though. Pacquiao is against any similar exhibitions and I doubt that he will bite into this one. He will taint his legacy if he accepted an exhibition or fix match with Floyd.

Manny all ready stated in an interview that he is not interested in Mayweather's proposal of an exhibition match. It would be more boring than their previous March if this happens and I doubt they can make more money from this.

Can someone update me on the status of the exhibition match? Floyd Mayweather was OK with the idea and he gave his consent for the 5-round match. However, Manny rejected it, saying that he want a full 12-round fight and not an exhibition match, which in his opinion is designed to fool the fans. I have to say that Manny is right here.

Floyd have been involved in exhibition matches after his retirement, and he was reportedly paid close to $12 million for one against Tenshin Nasukawa (that fight was a sham, and lasted just two and a half minutes). Back then, a lot of the guys were accusing of the organizers of rigging the fight. Perhaps Manny is aware of this fight and the negative reaction that came after it.

I reckon an exhibition match would be similar to a small ICO, pump and dump with a quick exit scam. A 12 round full match would be similar to a multimillion dollar ICO like bitconneeeect hehehe.

That famous and unforgettable foot work of Floydie.  Grin

But give that moment to him, that was his strategy and it's pretty effective on his side. Most of us really don't want to see that again but on this exhibition I think that he won't show that foot work again as this match is going to be more chill than an appointed match.

I hope that once this fight is ready, he'll treat it as the other matches he had seriously not the exhibition type.

Ofcourse he will not because Manny Pacquiao don’t allow him to do so as the exhibition won’t be happening according to the Filipino Champion

Floyd always make the fight by fun and not by “True action” so the thing is Manny don’t like the way he controls the bought so either he take the Manny’s condition or the fight will never happen just to fool the viewers

Is a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao exhibition match in Japan actually possible?

Floyd Mayweather came out over the weekend claiming he was working on a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. But is it all just smoke and mirrors?

https://www.mmamania.com/2019/9/15/20867779/is-a-mayweather-vs-pacquiao-exhibition-match-in-japan-actually-possible
I don’t think this exhibition game will be happening because Manny Pacquiao claims to be wanting the fight as a real fight and not this 5 round exhibition game

Last night in all media outlet in Philippines the Fighting Senator stands strong and asking Mayweather’s arrangement to be a real fight and a “Round2” of their fight

Pacquiao says that the exhibition game will only “Fool” viewers and fans as this is not a fight thy wanted to see.

I’m looking positive that this is just a media Noise so people will be interesting more for their matches awaited Fight for the second time.
I guess the reason why Floyd Mayweather doesn't wan't to take a full 12 round fight and just an exhibition match because with an exhibition, regardless of the outcome, his record will remain zero loss and he will still earn money. With that in mind, does this mean Floyd Mayweather is now afraid of Senator Manny Pacquiaos capability even at the age of 40? With the 50 record of Floyd Mayweather, there's only 2 boxers whom he gave a second chance to fight him and those are Jose Luis Castillo where both fights happened last 2002 and Marcos Maidana on 2014.

LOL, regardless if its just an exhibition fight, he will not change his strategy, he will just continue to run until the fight is over, and he will win by points.
We cannot expect too much from Mayweatheer, how much more than he is not getting any younger anymore, old fighters have nothing to prove anymore, if they will fight like an exhibition fight, they will just fight for money and will stay defensive rather than offensive which what we like to see.

I don't think Manny would want this, it's better if there's a title here at stake, if its just an exhibition fight, if one players loses, he can always makes and excuse that it's alright to lose because this fight is just to give fun to people, and it's a no bearing fight where they will risk their reward and their belt.

If this is the only thing that Mayweather can offer to the people, I think he disrespected the fans here because he is fighting a champion and he will make a lot of money, fans here deserves a normal fight that will be added to the stats of real title world boxing.

Now an exhibition, I thought that there's no more fire and smoke already for this discussion and rumor. But Floydie came out and making things possible so that the hype would be alive again for this rematch.
If it's an exhibition, I think many would still love to watch this fight of them. As long as it is Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch, tickets will be sold out again.

Yeah, saw that somewhere else, check Floyd twitter account, never seen anything.

I guess this is still a rumour and Floyd has no intention to fight him unless it is on a exhibition match? That's pathetic.

But who can't blame him, he has tons of money, just look at how he brags it in twitter and instagram.

I guess it's really hard to separate the name of the two, one really needs each other to make more money.
It's his attitude to show his elegant way of living and he can make tons of money with just a small exhibition without anything to bet on for his reputation.

Just like the last exhibition match of Mayweather, it only took seconds for him to make millions of money. And I think he's thinking the same thing by just spending few minutes of his life for this match without anything at stake.

Yeah, because people are still debating who is the greatest between them although Mayweather already beat Manny when they fought years back.
People were not contented, they think Manny was rob, or Manny lost because he injured his shoulder, now that he is fully healthy, people wants to see them fight again. In addition, people are still think the possibility because although Mayweather have retired already but from time to time he has an exhibition match with great fighters too. Mayweather has to come back and risk his undefeated record.

Is anyone going to want to shell out this kind of money maybe in the SAUDI dessert  Tongue

Floyd Mayweather might return … for a billion dollars, says Andre Ward, who suggests Canelo rematch

https://www.scmp.com/sport/boxing/article/3025718/floyd-mayweather-might-return-billion-dollars-says-andre-ward-who

Andre Ward has said he thinks Floyd Mayweather could be tempted out of retirement again – if he’s offered US$1 billion to get back in the ring.

As usual, Mayweather is always on the money purse instead of giving his fans or the fans of boxing what they really wanted. Wrestling would be much more exciting to watch than 2 old men that just cares about the money and one of the figher is just going to dance anyway on his battle on all 12 rounds.

That's your opinion but majority of the boxing fans wants to see this rematch happened, they could demand a lot of money, but it's up to the promoter if they will approve it, besides they are all in business and no promoter would approve the demand of a fighter if they will not earn more than they gave if the event will happen.
