Which will be similar loudness PER FAN to the Antminer S5/S7/S9 fans, same design and RPM level if not the same exact fan model.

Nowhere near that sound.  This is 70db and like a deep sound

hey I have an idea here..

think this would fit?

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500414

I can get   490 sols using  140 watts

that  mobo  would be unreal with  8 of these nvidia pushing  3900 sols

if I lower clocks I can do  414  using 126 watts.    one card and the entire rig.

which means maybe 105 watts for the mining of zec.

Man  I would love to get that mobo.  load it with nvidia's and mine zec.

there is also a GIGABYTE GTX 1070 MINI ITX OC Card, which will 4 sure suit into the chasis of B+ Smiley you just need proper airflow to keep em cool

how many zotac or gigabyte 1070s can we fit? more than 4? how thin are they and how thin are the panda 470s?

you cant.  they come in the panda

and the mobo is also custom.

I would love to get a mobo from them.

They wont sell it I tried.  I WILL GET ONE THOUGH!

well you have 28 of them.

pulling 1 and putting the 8 gpus aside as spares for the other 27 pandas make sense.

you could put  nvidia 1070's  should get you to 4500h with about 1200 watts used.

you would know you have an upgrade path for the gear.

Thanks for offering all these updates  Smiley

You showed the output noise was 79 db, can you please say what the output noise is at approx 1 meter distance?

he did it is 70db with a deeper pitch then the panda 1

it is not a living room miner.

based on my google of the included fans  the scythe is a bit quieter then the stock and should move a little more air.

https://www.amazon.com/Scythe-DFS123812H-3000-Ultra-Kaze-120mm/dp/B001JKNMBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492435572

these are still fairly loud but they would be okay in a spare bedroom or a garage.

I think they are better then the stock ones for cooling  note    i think not I know

if stronger louder fans are needed this

I am starting to suspect they need more ventilation.  I wish they went with 4 fans on each side.  I think they will have issues in a hot environment like mine in Texas not cooled anyway.  I have major ventilation but that might not be enough.  I will get my velometer on it tomorrow and test against a b1.  For not they seem k and its has been about 85 but my fear is the 95+ days.

That's an interesting observation because a photo I saw of what was identified as a pre-production design, showed 4 fans across while the production design had been cut down to 3.

if only that panda motherboard is for sale somewhere....

That would be sweet.

What cards would you use with it tho? No risers right?

No risers needed -- I would use a full card RX470 on an open cage rig design.

Run Linux like smOS on a usb3 thumdrive or msata ssd.

Many possibilities here for GPUs since its full 16x slot with nice spacing in between cards for airflow.

Wouldn't the cards be too close to each other? Do we know the exact spacing?
