if only that panda motherboard is for sale somewhere....

That would be sweet.

What cards would you use with it tho? No risers right?

No risers needed -- I would use a full card RX470 on an open cage rig design.

Run Linux like smOS on a usb3 thumdrive or msata ssd.

Many possibilities here for GPUs since its full 16x slot with nice spacing in between cards for airflow.

*** UPDATE ***
They sent me a new bios right away and I am testing it to make sure it is more stable.  Then I will post it.
Confirmed it's a little better rom here is the link it is zipped with the rom and instructions direct from panda in them.  There is no virus attached but if you don't trust me then don't download it.  http://zeus.iron-vault.com/bct/pandab3bios.zip

*** WARNING ***

The shipped bios on the first shipment of pandas to me and heliox seem unstable.  Out of 20 i was getting about 5-7  crash within hours of being turned on.  With heliox bios they have been running for 24 hours no crashes.  I think panda is coming out with a release or they already addressed it and new ones have it.  They will send it to me and I will post it on this review for a link to download.  Sorry can not post heliox bios as that is his and he is not free  Tongue  well he is a little slutty, but not totally.  Cool

Their response they sent me a bios I will add a link in a few on page 1.  Kudos for addressing it fast

Thanks for this update -- I wonder if there will be more B3+ available for order at a future date or if they are going to change the design again.

I do like this new design a lot better than the B1, Even with the loss of Density the B1 had, its a pretty clean setup.

im testing on the 1300 EVGA Gold because 120V watt meter but I actually use their great wall 1600 240V only units

at a meter away it is 70db

then it is a bit softer most likely a better pitch

meter  then the b1   let me look at that thread

yeah here is 1 meter for the b1  70.6

I could of swore they sounded quieter but numbers dont lie...  It's more of a deep hum and not a squeal though

230 ETH at this Wattage.  Heliox is working on mods and i'll post or he will as they come available.

the proper distance to measure is 1 meter..

I would think it is  75db  which means it is as loud as the older model b1  but a deeper pitch.

With fans at 3600rpm  it is a farm model not a tv den model.

1181  watts for 230 eth  was close to the b1 model

what is the psu?

Looking at these photos, its shorter width wise than the B1 -- 19.5" Wide x 6.5" High x 11" Deep

Someone would have to build a custom case or make an open air frame to turn one of these into a system that will support regular cards. I see that happening with these long term as people replace GPU's. The question will be how well the board is built and how long it will last.

any chance you are selling any of those pandas mate?

Sorry guys I did not get the amount I wanted so they are not for sale.
