would that cause nothing to start up though? I can grab a voltage meter and check that, no lights or anything else on my miner starts up but the power supply seems to be running perfectly fine, do you have a suggestion to get it more power?

I always start by measuring the DC voltage to each connector. I connect my meter and watch the voltage during the first power up. It should build up to 12VDC very quickly and stay there forever. If it dips below 11.9 there is a power restriction somewhere.

I'm referring to S9s assuming the M3 is about the same.

just got mine and plugged it all in (double checked EVERYTHING) and using a step up/down converter, it will not power on, the power supply turns on but the miner itself doesn't.  So frustrating.

Hi,

they are blacklisted by IBM XForce.

https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/url/pangolinminer.com

XForce is used by services like Quad9. If you use nslookup with DNS-Server 9.9.9.9 you can't get an adress-resolution. If you use 9.9.9.10 or 8.8.8.8 you will get the right IP-Address.

So it depends on the DNS-Servers you are using if you can reach that domain or not.

The same with email. Depending on the DNS, you can't send or receive emails to or from pangolinminer.com.

If they indeed changed their provider or IP-Address they have a lot of bad luck.

I told them about that, but just got a standard answer. They (or the provider) should fix this as soon as possible.

Cheers

In my last exchange of emails from Pangolinminer,  they had asked me what browser I used for my screenshot.
I explained to them I tried the website on, IE, Chrome, and Mozilla, all with the same results. (Note: I also used
3 different devices, but forgot to mention that to them.) I also expressed my concern about logging into their
site to check up on my oreder, and below is the reply I received:

Hello,

Sorry that recently we have updated our server, there's changes in hosting IP.

In this case, some 3rd party may recognize this change as "unsafe changes".

So you may experience some warning if the security level is quite high from your side.

Pls try to check your order status next week, or you can tell me your order number, we will update you here.

We apologize for your inconvenience.

Pangolinminer miner replied to my email about their websites Antivirus problem. They requested
a screenshot, and I supplied one. I also advised them to look at this thread to see more concerns,
and screenshots.

When I looked for some info on the matter, I saw on scamadvisor dot com, that their server
(which hosts many other web sites as well) had been reported as compromised. However, it does
not say who reported it, and for what reasons, or WHAT COMPONENT  WAS COMPROMISED.
They just have a severe warning indicator about the Malware URL/ Phishing on the site.

I tried my computer at work yesterday, after seeing this problem earlier in the morning, and that
machine had no AV problem with the site. However, it is a turd running XP with Panda AV. I just
wanted to try from a different machine, but I still didn't try to log in to my account.

I was going to buy these when they were $11xx usd. But so close to the price of an s9 now it no longer makes any sense to buy these machines due to their power consumption. They went way too high with their price and the fact they are still in stock reflects this.

I agree with you that they overpriced themselves given the alternatives available.  There was plenty of demand around the $1,188 price point I am sure.  I tried to order several (3-4) times @1188-1500usd but was unable to secure any via their shopping cart.   I still wouldn't mind purchasing one if only to test it out and compare to other asic miners.  Im just not playing the game with their cart anymore...it is sort of a joke.

It's the same for me as well. I sent an email to them to see if I get an explanation. They probably
have no idea what is happening, since they are never active on weekends. I recommend not
signing into your account until it's fixed!

Edit: My AV says Pangolinminer was reported as a Phishing site.

I just checked their site via Google Chrome on Windows 10 and it seems fine to me. The malware alert is probably a false alarm from AdGuard and unless someone else can prove otherwise, it should be safe to use.

Just passing on what popped up. What AV do you use? Just Windows Defender? It could very well be a false positive, I hope so!
