Based on feedback here that Whatsaminer, net is legit, I took a chance and ordered from Whatsminer.net last week for shipping from China to US.  They had a few M20 45Th/s (shipping within 5 days). I was impressed that it arrived at my doorstep (DHL) in about 7 days (Midwest US). I would note that there were no email updates or notifications from the company directly, but I received a DHL shipping notice at about day 3.

I have noticed there prices tend to be a bit higher than Pangolinminer (for same shipping times), but at the time everything on Pangolinminer was Dec delivery only.

Unit is up and running good so far.

As for the M20 itself;
The thing is a beast for weight (twice that of any of my Antminers) and louder than any Antminer I have had so far (S9's T15, S15).
It does have a low power option as well, but does NOT function. Hopefully they will update firmware sometime soon.
It is hashing at speed claimed but just a little higher power draw than advertised (but withing specs) at 49.5 W per Th/s.

When did you order?  I never saw m20's the normal 45th models for sale in stock on pango or whatsminer ever.  It was always preorder for aug, sept, oct, nov, now december.  I have a few on order for october but I would like to find some this month to replace old gear as well.  No luck though.

Duties bypassing is probably not ideal

A certain seller drop shiped a miner to a guy we all know. He did two, duty bypassed refused to sell the second one that he expected the buyer to reship without telling him.
And then this certian buyer we all know ended up paying taxes/duties for BOTH units as well as having to reship the second unit he had no part or knowledge about. Maybe he got reimbursed maybe not.
I think this certain seller is legitimate , but if he does practices like this with one of our most renowned/trusted members I couldn't imagine what someone else without such reputation might would go through.

Pangolin is in Hong Kong

Whatsminer.net is usa based

If you are in the states and use pangolinminer for a 1 unit order you may or may not get stuck the Trump tax.  I have been told that sometimes the gear is not charged the 27.6%

I do not know  anything about whatsminer.net except that it had a link with offordscott  a broker here  offordscott seems to be an okay reseller.

I am from Serbia so I am gonna get hit by tax (VAT) anyway. Prices are very similar even after shipping so I will probably order one from Pangolin and one from Whatsminer.net.

I can only speak to Pangolin, as I haven't ordered from Whatsminer.net

1. Pre-sale customer support experience - They respond quickly within their business hours.. They answer your questions and will give what answers they can. 10/10

2. Ordering experience- Orders have been smooth, they have fallen behind on updating the web site with current information regarding your order. Some orders show pending well after being shipped and delivered, or have a delay in updating payment information. They quickly reply with updates regarding payment inquiries. They are only a distributor so are subject to a supply chain but some orders have been delayed sometimes weeks at a time. 7/10

3. Post-sale customer support experience - They try their best here. They do have a tech that will use teamviewer to assist you in trying to solve issues that aren't hardware related, this is really handy and they spend a good deal of time trying. They will give you ideas on how to troubleshoot a hardware issue, but this is limited outside of their repair facilities. 8/10

4. Product quality- So far no major issue on my end. I had a slightly under performing machine that I haven't been able to find the issue; apart from LP mode it is still within spec. This is one of 3 M10 models. I also run a M20S. I have heard of the odd one having issues from others though, nothing wide spread. 9/10

For your questions, I haven't heard of any coupons other than the ones they offer on the website in the chat box. Not sure if they still have one of those there. The difference between the 2 distributors is really just who owns them, and maybe a few dollars in price. I don't know anything about the customer service or ordering differences.

Thank you for taking time to write this. It means a lot!

Hello everyone, I've read this whole thread and I've seen a lot of people complaining but a lot of people giving good reviews about Whatsminer and Pangolinminer's products and support.

I would like to say that I am in Crypto world since 2015 and I've been ordering Bitmain's Antminers since end of 2016. I've have mixed opinions about them as well. And one may ask why did I decide to look for new suppliers... Well, mostly because of Bitmain's rather difficult support(sometimes awesome but in other times it can be really bad) and because of the insane pricing that they are putting now(probably to cover Q1 2019's loses) but still, it is becoming unbearable...

So, I would be grateful if some of you could rate a few thing for me(from 1 to 10):

1. Pre-sale customer support experience
2. Ordering experience
3. Post-sale customer support experience
4. Product quality

And I also have a few questions:

1. I've noticed that sometimes they give out coupons. Are there any available right now?
2. What is the difference between ordering from Pangolinminer and Whatsminer webpage?

It's either wait patiently or pay a reseller premium. Or hold out till next bear market.

Was writing a long post but basically I trust Pango from previous sales, 6 cent power is cheapest I can find and any machine being shipped to me from August delivery will end up starting work in September.

Oh and BTC went from 11.2 to 12.1 since I placed order.

I was using 2018.05.11.13.0  (12.5 TH) firmware for my M3s and when it is hot during the day I was changing the firmware to low power 2018.06.30.17.A.

But i upgraded to 2019.01.18.17.a  NOW I cant go back to low power fw. Because it is in a *.tgz file. I need a low power firmware *.bin format.

whatsminer, pangolinminer, microbt.  my head is all mixed up with all these companies and firmwares.

Any help will be appreciated.

Once again don’t change firmware unless you know the new firmware is better.

Go to telegram pangolin look for yang and see if he can do it for you.

He is the tech for pangolin

You can try and get that off the Pangolin telegram group it's on their homepage at the top; it's usually the fastedt way to get a reply. That's the only place I've seen different firmwares  provided.

We source through Pangolin. DJ miner isn't very responsive couldn't get a demo even after approving one $2.8k well over our budget with a direct introduction from MircoBT.

I'm not positive if their hosting service is up and running yet or if they are just taking orders for the moment. What I do know i you do not have remote access to the miner, you have to give them the details for where to point it. The only verification you can do is the hashrate at the pool side, as the plan is laid out at the moment.

Just to add here are Service Discussion threads created for each of the distributors.

Slightly off topic:

Has anyone used pangolin's hosting service, do they provide access for me to point miner at my preferred pool?
