There will always be some people spreading negative news about bitcoin at some point of time, one of the main reason is to make some traders lose confidence in the bitcoin trading market and made them sell their bitcoins at a bad rate, and they can buy some cheap bitcoin during the panic selling.
that's how the whale investors look for profits when he does a big dump must have many people who follow to sell the alt then the investors will buy all and they will get a big profit I think it is common.
I think the liquidity of bitcoin is too high for such a scenario to happen, and too many people looking to buy. So one person panic selling will have no effect.

If the value of bitcoin suddenly dropped down, panic selling attact is the next thing to take place which happened just recently. This is due to the mind set of the volatility of bitcoin which resulted to lack of trust on the foundation of bitcoin. Yes it will have impact if huge amount will be sold dramatically as it mean lesser demand. However, it cannot be denied that still a lot of traders hold on to the belief that bitcoin is still on the top and more people are investing on this powerful digital currency.

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin,and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
Of course it will affect all Bitcoin users cause almost of them would get loss of their profit. But if you are in trading section the most important things is, stay calm don't panic if you see some movement of different coins just go on to the flow cause I'm assure you it will pump up again for the next day.
because bitcoin is a legit coin that has a good future potential, think of what is has already achieve and focus on the more success to come in the future.
Panic selling will result price of bitcoin goes to the lower level. Panic selling happens particularlly month of december.
Panic and other exaggerated emotions are not good for any business, especialy not the one with bitcoin and finances. You need to be cool. I know after such price pump many are expecting some big dump and they are prepared to sell but I don't think there is no reason for this, big dumps are not on the way.
I think some of the newcomers are just afraid of losing their money. They thought when in bitcoin they will just make profit and not getting a loss.
This is an extremely accurate statement. Many people invest in crypto because they are introduced and they think that it will not be risky, so when the fluctuations happen they are very bewildered and sold off all to get back their capital.
The wrong thing in investing especially bitcoin is that we are impatient to look panicked, many people will sell when felt the price goes up or down more than 10% so this makes them lose the opportunity to get bigger profit.

Yes op, it might affect the price of bitcoins, especially if those bitcoin users who sell are whales though they did not panic sell but they just want to get their profit it could still affect if they sell a huge amounts of bitcoins and some btc users did the same thing but it might be short term decrease of price.

don`t panic. These things are often the case for trading when it comes to these things that the bitcoin holder immediately panic and he immediately sells it at low prices will quickly sell it at a low cost and because of such circumstances the cost of such a low price will be considerable. if all the people or majority of the people are not selling bitcoin at the same time then hope that there is no chance of panic selling. but if the majority of the people start selling their bitcoin in one time then there will be panic selling and the price may fell down to a very low level.
I think I agree with that the majority of people are not selling bitcoin at the same time many people will be go on panic buying even they don't want to and that's why people afraid of its falling dawn its price.most people will follow someone else. Yeah i'm really panic for now because of a big dump on NXT which made it loss 40~50% in only 3 days ? WTF is happening with NXT, i think this is the time for me to be chilled and don't panic selling.
I know what you mean but you should not let those feelings get in the way of your investment decisions, I have faced similar situations before as well and the only thing you need to do is to ask yourself if you invested in a good project if you did you have nothing to worry the price will soon recover.
As any market, the whales can influence the price. So if it is significant amount of coins this will affect the market price.
The price of btc would drop if that someone has a huge number of coins in his hands.
