That's bad advice for HODLING, not all coins are worth HODLING for a long you shoulkd follow the development if it's a new coin and you should sell anytime you see that there are no development on going on that new coin, it is ok if it's a coin that's proven itself in the community, like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance coin, but if it's a new coin you should be extra careful on HODLING too long.

Yes, the Elon tweet only pump the hype when the hype its already there. If the trend goes down, the tweet will impact almost nothing.
Sometimes patience just direct you to nothing, so dont hesitate to cut loss or take profit if you dont have any strategy or plan anymore.

In crypto patience is indispensable. Because all we can do is sell the coins that we have just by waiting for them to have a price. if the tokens that we can not develop and die there is nothing we can do. However, patience alone is not enough. To gain profit we must be diligent in seeking bounty and diligently learn to analyze the development of altcoins in the future as capital to make investments. Patience doesn't mean just shut up and wait.

Long-term holding is good only for the potential projects but not for the shitcoins. I'm not sure what coins that OP had to hold but it possible, it was those coins that I've mentioned above.

I have the patience in holding but not necessarily have to do it, especially when I saw that my investment is in trouble. We need to take action immediately, selling might be a good idea rather than to keep holding even we know that it is already hopeless to see it coming back high.

It is just doesnt fit out on anything when we do talk on being patient because not all projects would succeed in long term this is why when you do tend to apply it all on your coin holdings then
expect that you would really be missing out lots of opportunities on making profit due to that very reason.

Patience isnt really everything and of course it does have con's if you do held up too much knowing that price doesnt really always go on what you wanted or expect.

Sell off once you do see the opportunity specially on a project which you do seem not worth for long term runs.

Imagine buying Ripple at $3 and someone talks to you about patience and hodl. Patience worked until now only for bitcoin and ethereum. All the rest are too far from ATH and we can expect they will dissappear completely when the bear market starts.

So many altcoins have died since the 2018 bullrun, but did you see any altcoins were dead during these bullrun? During bullrun we can earn profit from dead altcoins. We shouldn't hold low volume altcoins after the bullrun. Fixed your average profit before investment, then go out of it. Patience can always apply in the high volume altcoins. Very high volume altcoins are the best for a long term investment.

You cant really blame out people to have those kind of perceptions when it comes to their holdings and having those hopes into those low cap coins that they've been holding.

They are thinking for those possible pumps that they might able to see into those shitcoins that they've been holding for years.You wouldn't know if this one will be pumped or not

and will bring massive gains for you but well the odds for it to happen is slim but you know that there is really the possibility that's why people do have those common impression.
