Patience in trading and investing is everything. You first understood that the risks were delayed luck and really lost.

When there is a correction or prolonged bearsh market, patience is required to hold your coins. Of course this only applies if you are holding the main altcoin.
There are times when you can't sell your altcoins because the project is dead. Here you have to be patient to accept the losses and start over.

Patience brings success in some cases but also failure in others. Many people have made a lot of profit during the current bull run. But it was a big fact to choose the right coin and hold it. However, if you hold the token, many tokens later become dead. I think that's what happened to you.

It's true that patience is the key to success when investing in cryptocurrency. Because how many people regret cutloss their coins when the price drops, as a result of not being patient waiting for the price to rise. Or many people regret selling their coins too early. In conclusion, exercising patience is one thing that must be done to succeed in the crypto world.
I had a friend like that who invested 10k when the price was 20k back in the day, and he got out when the price reached to 8k as well, so he had like 4k left in return, if he kept his money he could had over 30k in return in 3 years, and there are very few things in life that could turn 10k into 30k in that quick of a time, usually you could make 10k into maybe 15k and I don't know if you are lucky you could turn it into 20k at the very best chance and that is why it is incredibly if you could do that, but if you turn it into 10k to 30k that would be awesome.

But at the same time, we are in a situation where it is dropping so I do understand what people are going through as well, I know that people are losing money but if he kept his money instead of having 4k he would have 20k even right now and that is 16k+ more money, that is a great example of what is going on.

^ To tell you this, not all coins deserve to wait and have patience, because there are some coins that not worth it to wait and the reason is they don't have the potential to grow or something to become a dead project. If that is the top 10 cryptocurrencies and includes BTC, probably I will consider the word Patient and wait at the right time and get profit. Newly launched projects are very risky when they will hit on exchange and did not recover from those dumpers, they become a shitcoin or even dead coin that no longer value in the market.

Been patient doesn't mean it might turn out good. The often phrase "patient dog eat the biggest born" isn't subjective to anyone or occupation but it's a perquisites in every aspect of life. It's a need that must be included in everyday activities and part of life.
Take trading for instance, taking a long position on Ethereum when the price was around $600 requires lots of patience and does who really wait have benefits from the action but again taking a long position on the same Ether when the price was around $1800 would have been a great mistake. The trader would have thought the price may go up more but seeing how the market turns out will be so hurt right now.
In conclusion, it depends on when you used it.

When I was still a newbie to crypto many people told me to keep holding and that's all I did for many years and in the end I ended up with many dead coins, whenever I keep seeing people talking about patience as if it's the only thing a newbie need I always shake my head, the fact is you need more than patience to get good results from projects, having patience sometimes will get you nothing
People were not wrong when they advised patience in the crypto market but I think they should have clearly told you "Bitcoin Market" because bitcoin and altcoins are two very different and separate markets where on one hand bitcoin is going to rise in the long term, altcoins will mostly die in the long run apart from big ones like ethereum.

Holding bitcoins for years has been only beneficial for all the investors but holding altcoins is the worst possible strategy because there are more than 100 coins I have bought and sold and almost 90% of them have vanished from the market in the last few years, not literally as they do exist, but no one buy them now. One such was doge until Mr. Musk decided to put some air into the dead market.

I get the point with seperated entities, Bitcoin already have support from big institutions and with more big businesses and well known institutional investors, the trend of rising is more likely to happened again and again. It may take some corrections and may continue to work with rise and fall but eventually it will bring huge profits to anyone who can wait.

Maximizing your profits using Bitcoin as your major asset is fruitful, unlike with alts which the majorities died along the way, do your research and don't stop learning. keep your patience with you and you'll see more clearer overview of your success.

It is true that patience is not enough, but what else do we need to know? As what you have said I can say that you want to tell the others to be wise on the crypto you are holding your money to. Don't just randomly put your money to different crypto, ask the others, search in the net about the coin. Besides patience, you need wit and tactics. It's money we are talking about after all.

Of course holding is not effective if your coin is proven to be a purposeless project. You need to make a good research before putting your money in any project, a single fault can make your whole balance disappear.

There is a way to minimize the risk: Split your funds into different pocket for a variety of projects. The more projects you have, the less inaccurate your analysis will be. But always remember to make analysis first so as to indicate both auspicious and suspicious ones.

It only takes one solid microcap like ALCX or 0xMR to 20x for you to become a millionaire. It's okay if 9 out of 10 fail, you only need one microcap to make it big.

The best advice I can give is that it is not all coins that you will hold for too long ,Only hold coins of good projects with high potentials in the market.
This is correct, not all coins to hold and we must be patient keep the coins on wallets. Some coins are much better to sell and we can buy top altcoins for long-term assets. There are many coins that only work for pump-dump only without real MVP or value to survive a long time. This kind of crypto coins must be prioritized to sell as quickly as possible since their prices are still in good shape.

You are very correct, patience is not always the key things when it comes to bounty. I have almost the same case, but I learnt so quick, within few months I learnt the lesson ofy life and I quickly adjust when I saw that have lots some great opportunities to make cool cash. I had to talk to my self and since then, I made a decision not  keep every coin again. I sell some immediately and keep some for days and even for weeks but my keeping can't exceed a month. I don't want any coin to turn to shit in my wallet. Had many of such coins that could have given me almost a thousand dollars but that have turned almost zero dollars now.

Patience is still a fundamental quality. Impatient people want to get everything at once, they think that success and easy money in the crypto world is a reality, but in fact, rush is the enemy, and only a few manage to make a profit in a short period of time. You won't be able to become rich quickly; you will have to go through both victories and losses.

I think that the best weapon of a trader is self-development, prudence, calmness and patience. Without it, annoying mistakes can be made that cannot be corrected later.

This is so true, some had learn while I suggest everyone has to follow as it's not necessary to learn from costly mistakes if we already have a tip to follow. Investing is very risky, it should be carefully plan and the most important is you are physically and mentally ready to pulled your strategy effectively.

Well, patience is not enough to gain if you chose a wrong project to invest in. If you conduct a research before you participate in a bounty or invest in a certain project then you'll get an idea if the project itself has a potential and worth to hold (the coins you bought) for long period.

Not all coins are good for long term, thus even you have lots of patience to wait it will become worthless if you're holding a coin that dont have a clear future.

If you speak as a bounty hunter, patience is necessary. because not all of the projects that we follow are successful. but if you talk as an investor, patience is not the main thing ... but looking for information about the coins we need to buy and have value in future is the main thing.
Investors also have to be patient when carrying out their investments, especially for those who spend very large amounts of capital, the point is that patience can be put in all jobs, although not everything can be prioritized, but in general patience for investors is also very necessary.

Patience, or I would better say holding, mostly works with Bitcoin only, with Ethereum it can work sometimes. But with most altcoins, I have noticed, it does not work at all. I dont call "patience", when you hold and altcoin, and due to bitcoin price growth, altcoins price also grows up. I think it is pure luck and "bitcoin effect".

Very little projects nowadays bring something really new and innovative into cryptocurrency world. Most of projects just copy others, add few small features and that is it. Relying only on them is a risky move.
