I have friends like this, people that will gamble on Mexican Womens Tennis if they can win (or most likely lose) some money on the game. It's a crushing addicition that we've normalized in our culture to make it seem like it's just apart of life. It shouldn't be, and children at a young age should be stopped from gambling until they know the horrible outcomes that gambling can cause. I support every effort by regulators to stem out the bad actors in the gambling field in order to stop children from being hooked on this.

I'd like one of you to change my mind, or at least make me think different about gambling. Because as of right now, I have a pretty negative view on it.

Maybe you have not met someone who is a responsible gambler, who treat gambling as a form of entertainment, and who knows how to stop and when to stop, please don't treat it like that, if you have friends or known people like that, they don't deserve understanding and help, because it's hard to be in their position.

To be honest, this is a very personal and subjective choice whether or not to gamble for money. The richest of men have crazy habits and they spent big money on things that look absurd according to common man. For example Leonardo’s painting has been sold to Salvatore for a huge $450 million and yeah, same could happen in gambling as one might gamble to enjoy not caring about the money been put in the game.

Gambling becomes bad when you misuse it . Doing gambling illegally where it is banned is a sin and should not be done. Obeying the country rules are more important than playing gambling.

Gambling is also bad if you get addicted to it. You play and spend on gambling too much that it effects your spouse, kids and family is certainly not acceptable. Gambling should only be done within limits.

There are situations in life wherein you sometimes need money and some people find gambling the only way.

There are a lot of users who have been in gambling in a long time ago nevertheless they don't think they are addictive toward it. This kind of people plays each and every kind of games in the hope of making a profit. After a specific time later it will become pretty difficult for people like this to overcome from this situation. As far as people who make money when they play it seldom those who play it consistency will definitely lose the money. Gambling is not as bad as people think because if you playing it rarely or keeping gap then its must not addict you play like this.

You see those people who see nothing wrong with playing every kind of game, at every point and for the purpose of making money, it won’t take long before they start suffering from gambling addiction. They always think that they are strong enough to overcome but Its always not true because gambling is not made for money and once anyone starts playing it for money, it will only be a matter of time before they start seeing the negative impact
I have seen a number of players who started this way, and they always feel they are smart and in no time they start suffering from addiction by selling all their properties and borrowing from people just to meet up, simply because of desperation to make profit.

In business, skills are required, there is expertise needed and it can be referred to as a profession but gambling on the other hand is a game of Chance. There might be risk in other businesses which is normal but gambling it self is a Risk that should be avoided as a plague. I am not sure whether people will gamble on everything that is available without having a deeper understanding of the entire match and if someone does that, it is madness and nothing else, either they have a lot of money to gamble or they are trying their luck with the last penny they have to make a living, no one in the right sense will gamble off their hard earned money.

There are actually a lot of them and I have seen them. Yes they gamble on everything and they even borrow to play and this is because of the wrong mentality of trying their luck which we try to discourage. How do support a player to play with their last penny simply because they have to earn a living, is gambling supposed to be a place to earn a living?

Gambling is a game of entertainment and it has been so since ages. My father told me how he has been a gambler and even our forefathers did this, and they never planned becoming rich from gambling, all they did was to have fun, the little profit that comes occasionally is in form of reward.

I agree because some peole may experience depressions, stress on something or bored they entertain their selves in gambling it may be bad and yet they enjoy it. You can't just judge a person in hisher physical appearance or what are they doing in their lives maybe it is their own way to forget what are they going through in their lives.

I think we cannot change the thoughts of people about gambling.But honestly,we can still gamble with a minimal amount just to test ourselves if we are lucky that time and if we lose that amount,then better luck next time.I'm not really seeing gambling as a negative way because it's on the gamblers themselves on how they will discipline theirselves towards gambling.

You have a very good point. But gambling is not a rehabilitation center for anyone to heal their wounds. If anyone has suffered any kind of trauma, the best is to avoid gambling environment completely rather than giving the game a bad name.

There’s no tangible excuse for addiction in gambling. Gamblers who get addicted are not only degenerates but cowards who are too weak to confront their fears but would rather sit on a casino site for hours in the name of having fun, not minding that the those much time spent gambling has the ability to destroy them. Anyone with less self-control should try as much as possible to stay clear from gambling.
