I believe you develop a negative mind against gambling maybe because you must have lost huge amount of money through gambling and I don't blame you but we need not to use that one in discouraging people from participating in gambling whom may end making good money.

My uncle told me a story once.

Two guys are sitting in a bar. One is a smoker and the other isn't. The guy who doesn't smoke asks his friend why he is smoking. He calls him an idiot for spending so much money on cigarettes. The point is whether you gamble or not you will always find ways to spend money on things you don't really need, just look around you. Do you really need a brand new mobile phone every year? Luxury watches, jewellery, 5 pairs of sneakers per year. Why do you need to go to the stadium and pay those ridiculously expensive tickets when you can watch the game on TV?

People like spending money for various reasons and gambling is just one of them. It is only a problem if it affects your health and the safety or you and your family.

You have a very good point mate, where would casino sites generate income if everyone was just playing for fun. The most important way to play is just to be sensible in playing. And I disagree that money is the reason why people get addicted.

I think there are so many people that have emotional issues and when they bring it to gambling, they allow it becloud their sense of reasoning. The best is to take emotions out of gambling and everyone would be a better gambler. A man breaks up with his relationship and the next decision he takes is to gamble because he feels it would make him forget his worries easily and by the time we know it, he gets carried a way with the game and ends up addicted.

No word is too bad to be used on a person that wishes to destroy himself, compulsive gambling is a very negative way of gambling, and using negative words on compulsive gamblers should not be termed bad if that would transform them to become better players.

I don’t think anyone would use names on a person that decides to just entertain themselves in gambling without playing to the extreme. Gambling is fun and very good for entertainment but then, there should be a place for moderation in playing. Playing without control till one end up addicted makes the player degenerate. So I don’t care how people feel about this name because I feel, those compulsive gamblers really need to come back to their senses.

Yes, you are right. Let them decide whatever they want to do with their money. Even if they spend all of their money, we cannot judge and easy to say they are wrong because we don't know what they think about gambling. But we can always suggest them not to use all of their money in gambling games because we will lose the money no matter how much we use that money. I am sure that if they are aware of that, they will think twice to use all of the money because they will think to use the money for other things.

Personally, I used to play gambling but I ain't get addicted so far probably because I could able to resist the temptation. this is because you are watching gambling from only one negative side. try to imagine what profit you make from gambling and no I am not talking about money. people feel good and they become happy and lucky when they win. your brain sees that signal as a reward and as we know because of human evolution your brain tries to become more and more perfect with where it gets the reward. But always see gambling as a plaything as when you play a game and win or lose you do not care. but because money is involved here the reward signal in your brain is much bigger. so stop thinking it is special and just treat it like a normal computer game where it doesn't matter if you win or lose.
