Exciting news because it can boost the popularity of bitcoin higher. This can be emulated by other countries in order to accept bitcoin, so bitcoin technology can be better understood by people who previously did not understand at all about bitcoin.

this is good news if the philippines actually receive and legalize bitcoin. users and investors in the Philippines can develop their business in the field of crypto well without having to conflict with the government. and it would be helpful if the government of the Philippines to support the digital currency.

This is a great way to meet Philippine's big dreams. With the help of Bitcoin, they entered the world of cryptography in all transactions, including the economy. Bitcoin's existence grew more than one step above it.

Many Filipino now are so obsess by bitcoin, we use to take risk in order to have another source of profit so even if we gamble in many things we dont ignore all the opportunities available especially bitcoin. Sooner or later we Filipino will be the most bitcoin user in the world.

Good news for all Filipinos and the others
In other thread o posted it and know i post it on this thread to know you why and how they accpted bitcoin

In my country the Philippines National Bank (PNB) was looking into use of bitcoin,i was wondering if it  can may affect the price of bitcoin?

TOP official of the Philippine National Bank (PNB) vows to study bitcoin amid Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) accepting stance on cryptocurrencies. PNB chair Flor Gozon Tarriela said they are looking at bitcoin and blockchain technology very cautiously but stressed the bank is not into it yet. “PNB will closely study the disruptions going on in the financial sector. We want to know more about the trends. We want to be aware of what is happening. But as to our plans to venture, we are not into it yet,” said Tarriela, adding that they are in the process of studying its dynamics and its possible effects to the banking business. A bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and worldwide payment system. It is the first decentralized digital currency, as the system works without a central bank or single administrator. While it recognized the potential benefits of virtual currencies as it facilitate the movement of funds at a much faster, cheaper, and convenient way, the BSP is equally cautious of the potential risks including illicit activities such as money laundering and terrorist financing.

It has advised the public that they have to be conscious of the opaqueness of transactions involving bitcoins. To minimize risks, the BSP encouraged existing and prospective virtual currency users to deal only with BSP-registered virtual currency exchanges and maintain only a sufficient amount of virtual currency enough to address transaction requirements. BSP warned that virtual currency users should properly secure their virtual currency holdings and observe security tips to protect the confidentiality and integrity of personal information and transaction details. “The BSP still has to issue regulations on this virtual currencies. But, we, in the banking industry advocate the know-your-customer first,” said Tarriela. PNB’s thrust this year is to go digital. Tarriela said they have launched mobile banking apps to cater to the needs of the tech-savvy market. “The way to go, really, is digital,” she said, adding that this will also help them reach out to the unbanked population.

Well, with a Gross domestic product of 304,9 billion USD in 2016 and about 103,3 million people, I would think that this some

good news for Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes ... The unemployment rate in July 2017 was estimated at 5.6 %... which is average in a global

sense. Bitcoin might even help to bring down that unemployment, if it is allowed to flourish. The average salary in the

Philippines is about $11,959.56 per year. The median salary in the Philippines is about $7,660.8 per year.  Shocked

I agree accrding to an article post by Trading Economics unemployment rate in the Philippines have been decreased by 1.3% since a year ago. Yet i really wondered how will the government monitor the filipinos who will be into btc as their job. Hmmm, will they ask the Department of Labor and Employment to penetrate the world of btc, and what would be the possibility that they will be getting reliable dati..

I believe this is a good start for bitcoin holders in the said country if this really holds some truth. Though there are numerous people in the said country who are investing and participating in cyrptocurrency icos but for the entire country starting to accept bitcoin is a huge progress. Not only that its technology is going to be convenient and useful, but it also offers a good method of investing and earning some profit.

It may be a good sign for Bitcoin as there are many countries now wanting to remove Bitcoin from the economy in their country, I think in the future there will be many countries eliminating Bitcoin from the marketplace. The market in that country is afraid of crisis.

Before, Thailand was open to special currency and now Philippines. There will be more and more Southeast Asian countries starting to accept bitcoin. There are many people in Philippines. I believe this news will have a great impact on young people in Philippines. As long as Philippines keeps the opening of the special currency in the field of Commerce and services, there will be more and more followers of the digital money in this country.

Honestly, it's just a seminar, nothing more than that and was held only in one part of the country. It doesn't mean that Bitcoin was widely used/known in this country. Probably it's good that some people are educating others about Bitcoin, but as I've said it's not a live telecast, or nationwide.

Snip
Well, I guess Philippines is one of the countries which is open for possibilities and change. It is indeed a good news that our country is now accepting bitcoin. I hope that this will go on until we can already use bitcoin to do our transactions especially online.

As I've said it's not a big event that could change the economy of this country.
