Just be aware of the message just before mine:

The official download of phoenix is the one in the first post of the threads  not the one in the post before.

So, DO NOT USE that LINK

Does anyone have the issue of PhoenixMiner essentially locking up the windows system if one of the cards crashes?  On mine, I get the notice "Waiting 15s for the previous instance to close"   It is then impossible to manually close it, and it requires a full restart.

After updating RX 580 driver from version Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2 Recommended (WHQL) to version Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.2 Recommended (WHQL) on my 4 rigs, they are now kind of unstable, crashing so often like 2 days uptime maximum

Using Windows 10
PhoenixMiner 5.5c
6 cards each rig

I'll rollback to the oldest driver and see if they get more stable.

Anyone else having the same issue???

Hi everyone

I downgraded the drivers version to 20.4.2 but it kept crashing! But after downgrading PhoenixMiner to 5.4c it has resolved.

5.5c is not stable for my Rx 580.
A friend of mine is having the same issue with his single Rx 580.

Looking for tips on fan control.  I am trying to set fan speeds and not sure I can do what I want.  I know -tt 60 will set temperature target at 60 deg and -tt -70 will set fan speed to 70%.  How do I implement more than one set of target temps?  I am trying to set these values and fan speeds - 50deg at 60% - 63deg at 70% - 76deg at 80%

I am thinking I need this in my config

-tt 50 -tt -60
-tt 63 -tt -70
-tt 76 -tt -80

Is this correct or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any input Grin

This is incorrect. -tt 60 sets the target temp to 60 degrees. So it sets the fan speeds at a variable setpoint to keep the card at 60 degrees. With some cards it needs a fan speed of 40% when other cards are set at 75% fan speed. So you can only set 1 target temp for each card.

hi bro

try:

Hey guys,

My miner was running fine for 4months, since today im getting this error in phoenix miner

"Allocating buffers failed with: clCreateBuffer (-61)

Also it says "Increase Windows Page file size to at least 29GB to avoid out of memory errors and unexpected crashes"

My windows Page file size is at 40GB but it still just gives me these errors.

Anybody got a solution? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks I will continue to run fan controls in OverdriveNTool then I suppose.
