I found two my old GPU's (AMD Radeon 4850 0.5GB and 6870 1GB), what kind of hashrate I would expect from these cards? And if I connect 2 GPU's to mobo, do I need the SLI bridge adapter for mining?

It simply won't work at all. You need at least 4 Gb VRAM to mine ETC and 6 Gb VRAM for ETH...

Not quite correct

for ETC you need 2.6GB VRAM currently

for ETH you need 4.1GB VRAM currently

Yes indeed.

But there not point to buy a 3Gb VRAM to mine ETC unless you already have the VGA and with a 4Gb VGA you can't mine ETH and there no 5 Gb VRAM VGA...

Theres the nVidia 1060 5GB https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-1060-5-gb.c3060#:~:text=The%20GeForce%20GTX%201060%205,GeForce%20GTX%201060%205%20GB.

Hi guys

I have a problem

2021.02.05:07:15:52.100: wdog Thread(s) not responding. Restarting.

My Phoenix don't restart if i have some problem.

I Can mine for 3h  or for 3days, but sometimes when changing DAGs the miner crash
I have a 9 gpu mining rig, with 1 RX570 8gb and 1 RX 590, the rest is RX 580 8gb.

Here my Start.Bat

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353 -wal XXX -proto 4 -amd -altinit -gser 2 -gpus 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 -wdog 1 -rmode 1 -eres 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2 -lidag 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 -gbase 0 -gt 64,18,54,62,54,54,47,47,54 -stales 1 -mport 127.0.0.1:-4000

I have a situation:
bat file started with new mcdag option. then in log:
2021.02.03:04:28:35.578: wdog Thread(s) not responding. Restarting.
and during such restarting mcdag not applied and this is a problem for me (dag created with higher frequences and I think it is corrupted. 95% of incorrect shares as a result. But before restarting - only 1 from 583)
How to report that problem to PM developers?
P.S. OS Windows 10. PM 5.5c

Hello,
used to mine one year ago and due to actual rising ETH I want start again.

Could you pls recommend best AMD RX580 driver,

or is crimson Blockchain still the best?

I installed it and hashrate was low, then I installed old drivers and use compute mode and my 580 hash for 31 MH/s.

have a question, my friend wants to invest in a small rig, just for fun. how important is cpu or it isnt that important. He would get a mbo with this particular cpu -  Intel Xeon x5660 (6 cores)

for mining alone, cpu ain't matter.
but for posting lots of lots bs questions just for fun, a powerful cpu plus tons of rams would help so it doesn't blow up.

Hello,

I would like to migrate from Windows to Linux.

Which distro and version is reccomended?

I read on the net that Ubuntu, both 18.04 and 20.04 have problem with newer kernels. Is it true?

Which version of drivers for AMD GPU?

Thanks,
Andrea

Hi guys,

I'm starting my mining rig, and I got my hands on a RX 480 8gb doing 26,25 MH/s @ 94W, using -gt 68, and the following settings on MSI Afterburner:

- Core voltage: -43 (1081 mV)
- Power limit: -15
- Core clock: 1140 MHz
- Memory clock: 2115 MHz

Temperature <60º

Did I reached the maximum without BIOS modding the GPU? Or how can I maybe improve that?
Yes you can get more add -mt 1 or -mt 2 and add -rxboost 1.better start with mt1. you can go down core voltage to 900mv for better power consumption and less heat. without mod rx480 will give you 30mhs.

As I run as administrator, phoenix miner just shut down automatically, what could that be?
Share your bat file.
if it is shut down just double click and see what happens.

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal XXX -proto 3 -tstop 67 -tstart 55 -mt 1 -vmr 25 -log 1
pause

I manage to run as administrator, and found the vmr value of 25, but no hashrate improves so far
ok last thing left to do reset afterburner or unistall it then give -cclock 1150 -cvddc 950 -mclock 2100 -mvddc 950. 950 mv is high ofcoruse just test then you can decrease it, if this not helps then only modding bios left. what is your driver version?

THNKSSS, now I'm at 29,280 MH/s, at 75W 55º, awesome, but I'm getting some memory errors, like 1 per min, is that a problem?

And my driver is at 20.11.2

Hello everyone
Did anyone encounter error 137?
I run it with the "-mclock" parameter and write any memory frequency (1000 or 1300 or 1500 or 1800), it still uses auto-overclocking and sets the maximum frequency
Pheonixminer in console says - unable to set memory clock delta to -1000Mhz - error 137

I just want to lower the memory frequency on my RTX 3080 because 110 degrees in memory is a little scary Smiley

Same issue for 5.5c and fresh 5.5d

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -pool2 us1.ethermine.org:4444 -wal xxxx.WorkerName -proto 3 -mclock 1600
Problem solved by running cmd with administrator privileges, but command still works unexpectedly.
When started with -mclock 1300 it says - setting the delta memory clock to -1000Mhz.
The same for values 1500, 1800 ... (but the maximum automatic frequency is 2300 MHz).
If you set -mclock -1500, it will still be -1000Mhz. But if you set the clock in the range -1 to -1000, it will be processed in cmd window correctly, but real memory clock will decrease only for ~300Mhz (checked by hwinfo)
1. -mclock has such a small clock range? Or its just my gpu handle limit?
2. How to decrese memory clock for needed value?
3. 110-114temperature is critically big for RTX 3080?

PHOENIXMINER 5.5d IS MALWARE--

You need to clean your system.  Version 5.5d has been confirmed as MALWARE.  It installs a trojan package.

Can you even find the link you downloaded from today?  It has likely been deleted by the BCT mods.  It was posted by a BOT that has been spamming this thread for months with various malware links that seem oddly similar, and promising too-good-to-be-true results.

Only download from the official PhoenixMiner links.       --scryptr
