Hello everyone
Did anyone encounter error 137?
I run it with the "-mclock" parameter and write any memory frequency (1000 or 1300 or 1500 or 1800), it still uses auto-overclocking and sets the maximum frequency
Pheonixminer in console says - unable to set memory clock delta to -1000Mhz - error 137

I just want to lower the memory frequency on my RTX 3080 because 110 degrees in memory is a little scary Smiley

Same issue for 5.5c and fresh 5.5d
Quote
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -pool2 us1.ethermine.org:4444 -wal xxxx.WorkerName -proto 3 -mclock 1600
Problem solved by running cmd with administrator privileges, but command still works unexpectedly.
When started with -mclock 1300 it says - setting the delta memory clock to -1000Mhz.
The same for values 1500, 1800 ... (but the maximum automatic frequency is 2300 MHz).
If you set -mclock -1500, it will still be -1000Mhz. But if you set the clock in the range -1 to -1000, it will be processed in cmd window correctly, but real memory clock will decrease only for ~300Mhz (checked by hwinfo)
1. -mclock has such a small clock range? Or its just my gpu handle limit?
2. How to decrese memory clock for needed value?
3. 110-114temperature is critically big for RTX 3080?

Strange issue with my RX 570s. They've been happily mining for some years now on Claymore. With OC I get a bit over 30MH/s so 18x in total. This has been super stable.
But Claymore is broken, so I switched to Phoenix 5.5c. It's working ok, but after a little while, one of the RX 570s will adjust the cclock from 1150 to around 900 MHz. This card has the lowest error rate, and doesn't get warmer than any other cards.
I've tried setting the cclock to 1150 for all cards, but that doesn't help.
The cards are overclocked through OverdriveNTool. If I restart Phoenix, all cards mines at the corrects speeds again for a while. It's always the same card that is the problem.
Is there any way to turn off this (watchdog?) autotune GPU Core feature?
In my experiences now with the >4GB dag what worked before may not work now. Mining software like PM has to do things to keep hash rate up and wattage down that can make previous settings/card unstable.

You don't mention if this is Windows or Linux or what AMD drivers you are using -  that might help. In Windows I have no issues using the 20.8.1 driver. What voltage are you using at 1150 and what is the memory OC? The voltage and memory OC are kind of more important than cclock on card stability. I could run HWiNFO64 when mining to monitor the gpus for reported errors. This helped me find cards I needed to lower the memory OC.

Just sharing how I've setup my 570's with OverdriveNTool at 1065/800 and 2000-2100/800 depending on the card and they run very stable at about 29.2-29.5mhs drawing ~112watts at the wall. I tested higher, like 1130 cclock the voltage need to be 850mv and I could get to 30.5mhs but that found the +1mh could make the cards more unstable, generate more heat, and draw as much as 10watts more - that wasn't worth it so I'm staying with the lower hashrate.

2 questions for experts:

1. What are the possible values for “-eres”? Documentation says default is 2 but what other values would work when miner crashes during dag switch? I tried 0, 1, but no change. Every few days during dag change, PM crashes and have to restart it again!

2. I just built a new PC with 5700XT. There is no onboard graphic chipset so this GPU is used as primary. I tried to mine with it but noticed my monitor started flickering every few seconds. Basically, I cannot do anything when mining. So, my question is if this is normal and expected!

Thanks in advance.

I'm confused and curious at the same time, I'm using Nicehash to mine Ethereum and I can see Phoenix miner 15.6 as the latest on Nicehash, why is this Phoenix miner on Bitcointalk forum still talking about 5.5c version? Or is there something I don't get here ? I can show screenshot if there is any doubt

Hey guys

Got 3 rigs running, but one of them crashed with a "FATAL ERROR: Debugger Detected"

It's running 6x rx470's 8gb for days, only happened today.

It's a clean windows install with just teamviewer for remote access
I can't put linux on it because it can't undervolt (it won't even honor bios settings)

any ideas?
Got no other error

Hi guys,

I'm starting my mining rig, and I got my hands on a RX 480 8gb doing 26,25 MH/s @ 94W, using -gt 68, and the following settings on MSI Afterburner:

- Core voltage: -43 (1081 mV)
- Power limit: -15
- Core clock: 1140 MHz
- Memory clock: 2115 MHz

Temperature <60º

Did I reached the maximum without BIOS modding the GPU? Or how can I maybe improve that?
Yes you can get more add -mt 1 or -mt 2 and add -rxboost 1.better start with mt1. you can go down core voltage to 900mv for better power consumption and less heat. without mod rx480 will give you 30mhs.

As I run as administrator, phoenix miner just shut down automatically, what could that be?
Share your bat file.
if it is shut down just double click and see what happens.

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal XXX -proto 3 -tstop 67 -tstart 55 -mt 1 -vmr 25 -log 1
pause

I manage to run as administrator, and found the vmr value of 25, but no hashrate improves so far

Have 2 Rigs mixed with Vega 56, 5700XT, and 580s, are the old AMD Blockchain Drivers still worth using? or just stuck with Drivers from 2020?

try another version of the phoenix, later

I'm using the 5.5 already (upgraded today from 5.4), I saw some comments that might be driver related? But I have my rig and my personal pc, and both are closing.. One is this AMD and my personal a GTX

After my miner was running for 65 Hours without any rejected or invalid shares it randomly stopped with fatal error debugger detected. I’m not sure what this means and how to troubleshoot. Is there something where I can see what could of possibly caused the issue? This is a rig with 2 3060 ti, 4 3070’s, and 1 3090. With 900MHz memory overclocks (3070 and 3060 Ti), 750 memory overclocks (3090).

Hi guys
I didnt mine a lot of time and now trying to start 1 GTX 1080TI on Windows 8.1 with PHoenixMiner 5.5c but there is something wrong
I tried the latest driver 461.40 ... and then tried older 456.38....
and I always receive 14- 16 MH/s Sad
I tried and Claymor and T-Rex - the same
I missiing something but dont know what Sad
Pls help

https://prnt.sc/xzlnk0

I use simple  bat file

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20535 -wal Worker.1 -pass x -proto 1

and dont know how to include  "-straps" - always say - Have to run PhoenixMiner as administrator - what have to include in bat file ?

What order should I apply my config and -mcdag in the bat file? I think it might be working having it after the config... will see seems MH/s rate is going up slowly now.

What GPUs are you using? I guess Nvidia? My Config for 6x RTX 3060 TI locks like that. I hat problems with DAG generation and loads of invalid shares, now with -mcdag and driver 461.09 it runs great, with even higher OCs...

Code:
REM
# PhoenixMiner 5.5c - 30.01.2021
REM

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

cd /d %~dp0

PhoenixMiner.exe -proto 2 -coin eth -cdm 0 -pidle 77 -prate 0.18 -nvidia -nvNew 1 -resetoc -fcm 1 -tmax 68 -tt 58 -mcdag 1 -powlim 1:-38,2:-38,3:-38,4:-38,5:-38,6:-38 -cclock 1:-600,2:-600,3:-600,4:-600,5:-600,6:-600 -mclock 1:+1225,2:+1400,3:+1300,4:+1325,5:+1325,6:+1225 -gt 0 -mi 12 -tstop 70 -tstart 50

pause

@Phoenixminer-Team great work, THANKS!!

@allMiners, consider switching to or at least testing flexpool.io, i was at ethermine, switched because of eip-1559 support, love it!

Hi guys,

Is there anyway to setup phoenix miner to apply power limit and memory clocks after the dag has loaded? I get incorrect shares if the overclock is applied before the dag is loaded. And for 1200 memory overclock and 70% power limit the following is correct in my config file?
Code:
-powlim -30
-mclock +1200

-mcdag might help?

What order should I apply my config and -mcdag in the bat file? I think it might be working having it after the config... will see seems MH/s rate is going up slowly now.
