Author disappeared...

LOL last time online was today. How you came to the conclusion that the author is disappeared?

I checked a few days ago and the last time when he was online was about a month ago. So it's good to see he is been online today.

His miner still works for most people. A few competitors have new miners if you want to try those.

I don't think frequency on bitcointalk translates to the quality of the miner! Phoenix miner works great for me.

Any idea why the software wants to keep seeing the clocking settings?

Also seems the fans reset to a non fixed value too

Windows 10 1903 version requires AMD drivers 19.5.2 or higher to work correctly... 19.4.3 works but not without bugs.

Phoenix, will you update your miner to full support AMD drivers higher than 19.4.3? Or we would forced to use other miners...

Hi,

I am using 4.2c on linux (Ethos). It seems fan control options do not work. Simply nothing changes if I set -tt, -fanmin, -fanmax. Also setting -fcm 2 also does not help - think it always uses vbios settings. No errors in the log. How can I investigate?

Thanks.
I don't think fan management ever worked on linux, just fan reporting.

Allready AMD 19.6.1 driver released... And no miner update... If author dropped support of his miner, he can write about this... Maybe we are waiting for nothing?

Hello Guys !

does anyone knows how to deactivated auto-tune for phoenix miner ?
I'm mining ETH on hiveOs and

Code:
-gt 15 #doesn't work since it only set it to default value

Quote
-gt Set the GPU tuning parameter (6 to 400). The default is 15. You can change the
tuning parameter interactively with the '+' and '-' keys in the miner's console window.
If you don't specify -gt or you specify value 0, the miner will start auto-tuning to determine the best GT value for each GPU

what i want is to disable it completly.

Thank you for your help.

You cannot disable it, choose default parameter 15 if you want but I don't recommend that, what is the problem with determing the best value for every GPU?

Hey ! Than you for your feedback, it's just because after trying all the good timings with amdmemtweak developped by Eliovp on my rigs i got frequently the watchdoog issue with phoenixminer reboot failure. That's why i wanted to test it without the auto-tune

Only new drivers support need to be updated. 19.4.3 is the last full supported at now by Phoenix miner.

Just updated to AMD driver version 19.5.2 (June 2019) 2766.5. Working again :-)
You want to say that on 19.5.2 Phoenix woks with -clKernel 3?
Yes. On a RX 580 8GB

I'm using Nitro RX580 8GB, PhoenixMiner 4.2c, AMD Driver 19.3.3 with -clKernel 3, but it can not load DAG into VRAM with error clCreateBuffer -4.
You did something wrong... Max AMD driver that miner have full support is 19.4.3.
So just try to install 19.4.3.

Could they get to put a new currency? they modified the ethash for their currency .. I guess they will have something similar to what ubiq did .. and I know you could get to put it on the list of coins to be able to mine with phoenix

Just downloaded and updated to 19.5.2 from 3 june 2019 (OpenCL 2.1 AMD-APP 2841.5). Didn't work with -clKernel 3.

Can you upload your driver for me?

Offical AMD June driver:

As I wrote before: with driver 19.5.2 from 3 june 2019 (OpenCL 2.1 AMD-APP 2841.5) miner didn't work with -clKernel 3. It just give -cl error.
Raise your virtual memory to NUMBER_OF_GPUS * 8 + 4 GB. It will surely work.
